Yes, 50% of IRS agents are in they office where they should be, and 50% are members of the pajama party and "working" from home. The pandemic is over, why are these people allowed to "work" from home? I guess grocery shopping, dog walking, misc. shopping, etc., are all considered "working". Give me a break. I've run into plenty of people in stores, libraries, gyms in the middle of the day, who are "working" from home. 🙄

Where’s the option to opt out since taxes are suppose to be voluntary? I’d like to opt out of this since I didn’t give permission to have my personal info given to someone not secured by this CORPORATION Called the IRS. I also didn’t vote for new armed officers and our government hasn’t been protecting our best interests for a long time now including securing our safety. We are ignored when calling our government “reps” to ask or protest things being pushed through in the middle of the night. And I don’t recall being asked if I’d like to have my tax dollars going to a two tiered justice system that’s pushing lawsuits against an ex president and running candidate when other lawsuits have had to wait for several years to be heard that seem much more important. Also I wasn’t asked if I’d like to send my tax dollars to aid in other countries wars and borders when our own is being ignored. Clearly we are not being represented anymore so I’d like to opt out please? Where’s that option? 🙄🤷‍♀️ And that’s not even saying anything about the forced social security money that’s being borrowed from us and saying the majority of Americans wont see this money. But hey we’ve got plenty of money for illegals entering our country somehow 🤔

@@whistlep4494 agreed I suppose what my biggest problem is that our reps have been bought (most of them) and taught to do things that make them look like they’re doing something but they really aren’t. I’m sick of being ignored what most of what I’m hearing from other Americans is the same as me. Control the border, stop sending money we don’t have to fund wars ( actually funding money laundering and trafficking ) while we have to fight just to survive. Who knows what’s been let into this country. We’re seeing what these people are doing to the statescities that are taking them in and when they’ve bled em dry they’ll move on to the next. These people are not here to live imo. I believe they’re being paid to take us out. So why fund them through taxes. If they won’t listen to us and continue to ignore our constitution and rights then why fund them? If they don’t have money Caesar’s money then they can’t pay for the evil unleashed on us. And it’s happening all around the world. Not just our country. Tired of the evil and taking advantage of one of the most generous bleeding hearts in the world. Americans might be a lot but we do have big hearts. And now we’re being taken advantage of. So there’s that.

@@charlieschultz9232 The adoption of the Sixteenth Amendment, however, put an end to speculation whether the Court would eventually reverse Pollock. Indeed, in its initial appraisal13 of the Amendment, the Court classified income taxes as being inherently indirect, stating:
[T]he command of the Amendment that all income taxes shall not be subject to apportionment by a consideration of the sources from which the taxed income may be derived, forbids the application to such taxes of the rule applied in the Pollock Case by which alone such taxes were removed from the great class of excises, duties and imports subject to the rule of uniformity and were placed under the other or direct class.14
The Court further observed: [T]he Sixteenth Amendment conferred no new power of taxation but simply prohibited the previous complete and plenary power of income taxation possessed by Congress from the beginning from being taken out of the category of indirect taxation to which it inherently belonged . . . .15. From Constitution.congress.gov.
In short, direct taxes were apportioned to the states, indirect taxes were not. This amendment put income taxes in the “indirect” category. At least as I understand it. Yet incomes were taxable by the federal government since the date the constitution was ratified. Doesn’t make me like income tax though.

Remote work is a fantastic way to hire better talent when you have a limited budget. In cybersecurity, I have never personally met an engineer that isn't remote. I enjoy my field and also have not considered moving to a larger tech company because I appreciate not having a commute. Meanwhile, I can be more efficient compared to when in an office where people might bring in cake for a co-worker's birthday, show you pictures of their dog, and chat around a coffee machine. I have a hard time taking it seriously when people think being in an office is going to stop people from slacking off or make them more observable somehow. Unless you work a job where a supervisor is literally staring at you. Watching you do physical visible work, then the way of observing your productivity is the same remote or in person. They look at what you accomplish, and they might even have metrics built into the digital systems you use.

I understand that if people can be productive working from home than have at it. From my experience the people that work from home have a bunch of different distractions. The laundry needs to be done, children need watching and so on. We have some employees that work from home but try to get a zoom meeting done while there’s kids running around their desk and screaming it’s kind of a distraction a zoom meeting takes double or triple the amount of time it would normally take. It’s convenient to be able to work from home. No need to worry about parking, gas to get to work, wear and tear on your vehicle, not having to get up so early in the mornings or even dressing in proper office attire. How about what the employers are going through, all that empty office space that’s being paid for, keeping the lights and air conditioning on just in case you decide to actually come to work. The FIT is an excise tax that does NOT fall on the vast majority of economic ACTIVITIES. Rather, it can only fall on FEDERALLY PRIVILEGED activities and investment type gains and profit. Furthermore, the federal govt does not have jurisdiction over non-federal business and workers in the various union states and cannot legally tax them. The 16thA does not alter the Article 1 Section 2 Clause 3, and Setion 9 Clause 4 prohibition against a direct non-apportioned capitation. The custom defined term "wages" in Title 26 (the tax code) Section 3401 (a) and section 3121 (a) refers ONLY to federal type employees.
IOW folks, your whole life you have been scammed out of 10 to 40% of your annual earnings because you are ignorant of what the tax laws actually say and mean and on what it can legitimately fall on. Now be honest, did you already know that Title 26 is the tax code?

Also, I work from home, and I log into a VPN and then authenticate again with two factor which adjusts firewalls to allow my current IP address. This allows me to be secure even if I were to be working on a compromised network. Additionally, while working remote, I have been able to maintain my own citizenship as an American. I know other Americans that work remote. Those comments are a bit snarky since the IRS does not allow citizens of other countries to work for them, you don't seem to know that Puerto Rico is part of America. Also, you can be secure while working remote. Companies that cannot provide a secure VPN and dynamic firewall (or even a firewall that gets manually adjusted if an employee has to travel but is otherwise pointed at their home IP) probably don't have secure internal networks either. I have been working in cybersecurity for several years and I have never met another engineer in my field that doesn't work from home. It's a way of recruiting top talent. Regardless if it's weekly bi-weekly or monthly or yearly salary just for the federal government and 3% tax rate for States an local government that takes roughly about $10 out of everybody's damn paycheck per $100 so if you make $400 you pay $40 in taxes for State local and federal government all together and that even means the billionaires would never be off the hook nor will the millionaires nor will these people that make $100,000 or better or hell even the low income people like me that makes roughly 13,000 a year to 16000 a year we would only be on the hook for a total of 10% of the money that we earn in the federal government steals from us to keep their self alive
