"I could either be making those stops or I could be sitting around" Okay, you convinced me...your job is unnecessary, wasteful spending and should be eliminated.
Boy all this new technology sure does ruin all the fun. I can't imagine what it was like working in the day when there was no way of tracking anybody just do whatever you want.
Moo Yo Not all city services are paid by tax money. Garbage departments Water Resources and other service departments are sometimes self-sustained by a fee. They do not take taxpayer money.
Moo Yo The city I work for it's $14 a month for garbage pickup. Trash, recycles, yard waste bulk item pickup all for $14 a month. Outside of our service area you have to use a private company $19 a month no yard waste, or bulk pickup. My department is funded through fees not property tax.
The securiry company "privacy electronics" which is featured in the video is a total ripoff. They sell products in their store that can be found online for a quarter of their price
I believe the device needs to be formally disclosed to the employees and them sign off on the knowledge of it. This could be a privacy/ civil rights violation if use of the device wasn't discussed formally as a condition of employment on his hire date
You are in a company/govt vehicle on company/govt time. Civil rights don't apply. It's a job, folks. You are entitled to get paid to do the work. The employer has a responsibility and a right to monitor employees while on the clock. Keep this in mind the next time you check Facebook on the company computer.
Jeff G. In my state it is required at your hiring date that you are formally made aware of any monitoring devices on your vehicle and on your communication devices. You are required to sign off on it too. The right to privacy is a big deal and it's a shame too many dumbed down Americans are willing to give up their rights for nothing in return.
Pyroman / you are incorrect sir. You must formally be made aware of any and all tracking devices. That is why you are required to sign an acknowledgement form in major companies and I would suspect in government jobs as well. Especially if it is union affiliated. It is an invasion of your privacy and violates wire tapping laws.
Take a guess who is incorrect. In each and every single state, and also places such as DC and PR... It is not an invasion of privacy to have gps monitoring of a vehicle that reports back to the employer. Have a telephone number for work, then an employer can monitor certain aspects of that as well. Have a computer at work, or did an employer give you a computer to use at home? An employer can monitor a computer hardware, computer software, most internet connections, VOIP, etc... It does not violate wiretap laws. As gps monitoring does not broadcast or record voice. Btw, guess what? Have a vehicle made in the last six years? If so look under the front two seats - it's collision monitoring and keeps a continual loop
We've had trackers in our trucks for years and I've never had a problem with it. My bosses have nothing but good to say about my job performance because I DO MY JOB and don't sit around wasting the companies money. Too many lazy people out there that want to earn money for doing nothing. That's the only way we can catch these free loaders.
The stupid thing is by law they have to let you know you vehicle or you person is being tracked so these people knew good and well. when I worked for a company who used them all of us drivers just unplugged them as a lot of them plug into OBD2 ports.
What if I’m 2 fast do all of my work and more than everyone else do I have to go in early lose hours and have lazy workers that don’t do there job make more dam sucks if are boss had that I would have to quit unless they paid me for the jobs I can do in one day

OMG REALLY ??? CAN U GIVE AN EXAMPLE PLEASEEEE?

Worker should be fired. That shit wouldn't be tolerated at any other company.
corruption? in America? noooooooooooooooooooooooooo
What is this deal about police cars immune from tracking??

However, such trackers can foilled with a GPS jammer

Justin Jones Agreed. I suspect that the city wanted to have an excuse to fire some of them...

The 👮 cops need audio video trackers so they can’t lie like they get away with now
“I could be sitting around or making these stops” wtf? Terminate.
Fart Party 😄😄 I know like wtf
police should be tracked too, they are no different
I didn't know I couldn't do that!

I KNOE WHERE YOU CAN STICK IT!!!!
Yea. I am at work watching UA-cam. On “break” though....
Great program. Too bad cops aren’t monitored all their working hours for misconduct with the public.
