also being new at fba i think its funny how many people how said how much their making per hour for sourcing not telling us newbs (until we find out on our own) that processing that inventory can take just as long sometimes. if you have multiple food sources with expiration dates or bundles that's quite a bit of labeling and packaging depending on the purchase amounts.
I was happy that i figured out how to add the expiration date on my own in inventory lab but i was unaware as a new seller that i also had to have the 36 point font expiration label as well! or even how to do it, but now i know! this was very helpful thank you!
Thank you for your suggestions. I see that you put expiry dates on food. Is that required for Shampoos too? I shrink wrapped the shampoo, put it in a polybag and put suffocation warning on it. Do I have to put the expiration date on it? Even though on shampoos there is no expiration date. There is though a 12m use time from the time of opening.
If Amazon requires it, then yes. If they don't require it, then no. If you don't know, try sending one in and you will see the exp date required or not. If I don't know, I"m lazy and would just put a year out if it had the 12m after opening because it will sell before that and I'm lazy
I've seen the 36 pt font thing all over UA-cam but where does it come from .... I read through Amazon's requirements for products with expiration dates and didn't find anything like that.
Hey great video, I was just wondering that if I elect to use amazons labelling service, would that include the expiration date so I don't have to add that part myself? My product lies within a blacked out envelope so as of right now there is nothing showing.
You would have to look at this one up because I know you will enter the expiration date into the system but I’m not sure Amazons labels will have that print it out. Best to ask them directly
Yes. And remember that you need 90 days + the pill count for vitamins. So if there are 100 pills in the bottle, your expiration date needs to be 190 days out from when you send it in. (I just learned that the hard way)
If the item needs a bag and box, I will bag and then box. Keep in mind that the box might get used as the shipping box. If that concerns you, then you can bag it or bubble wrap and then bag it.
Thanks for the video! I was wondering: if I were to use 5 different name brands in one box as a "mystery box", do i have to "ungate" all of those brands first? Or can I just package all of the items into a box and sell the box as one unit without having to label each individual package? This is confusing to me because I'm hearing conflicting processes in different videos.

I think the 36 point font requirement for expiration dates only applies to casepacks.
why you are printing exp date label if it is already on the original packaging ? isnt it unnecessary ?
If you send two of the same item with the same expiration, Inventory Lab will not let you pack them in the same box. FYI.

Thank you for that video. It's very helpful. Do you have any suggestions how to pack Tea?
I would polybag and/or maybe a box if needed

I just looked and it appears they have taken that wording out of the label requirements. I love how they update things and don't communicate.
Okay! Thanks for taking the time to look into that and respond!
You're so great. Really detailed and helpful
Thank you!
Where would you put expiration date on a box of cereal ?
usually on the top or bottom. Sometimes in white instead of black
Thank you for this video! I have a quick question. Are you sourcing your candy corn from a manufacturer or are you shopping for it at a regular store?
Both!
So I can get expiration dates from Amazon when I create a listing?
no.... you get on the product
what about the upc label where should i put it with multipack item ?
on the bag or box they are in

do you need to put an expiration date sticker on a bottle of vitamins?
most the time yes

Could you share how do you print eh expiration date label. Thank you

does the customer get the box that i put the bundle in?
should i poly. bag them and then put them in a little box?

I love your eyes and your videos!!!
couldn't you just take your amazon/sku barcode to put over the original barcode?
Yes, you want to make sure their scanner can read it though.
It’s so many different rules. This is a headache.
Swear

Need a bit more information to understand. If you are gated in a brand, and try to get around it, Amazon will catch up with you/the listing.
Why not just use a plain white label to cover instead of the black ones?
Sometimes you can see through the white one and maybe it’s something you don’t want to have seen such as a price or Mark through
