NEW La Sportiva TC Pro: Babsi Zangerl + Jacopo Larcher Review | Climbing Daily Ep.1932
Bought my TC pros for Indian Creek off width and did not like them for thinner cracks. But as they wore in I started to use them on slabs and normally I hate slab climbing, but this changed everything. Now I use them for any cracks because on thin cracks my feet don't suffer as they used too wearing 5.10 slippers. My advice, just wear them in well. As they stretched I just wear socks. ( I guess this gives a clue to my age. 73. )
Indian creek at ur age is inspirational and I wanna b like u when I grow up
Proper climbers 😂. As someone who hasn't sent V4 but can send spicy 5.9+, I feel vindicated
Ya. No sheet. That is not even a comparison. You realize v4 is more around 5.11 5.12., right?
Also the removed the stitching behind the rand on the new model so they are much less likely to wear through the rand without the hard and bumpy stitching right below the rubber. At least that's what my resoler told me.
Hey EpicTv line's name is Incastromania. Amazing footage as always.
Penso sia uno dei 6a piu belli che io abbia mai fatto
this is not a review, this is a showcase of updated features
That has seemed like mostly what this channel does.. I think it’s highly sponsored
It also doesn’t matter at all weather it is or not
@@j_akae_6982 whether
this is a showcase, not a review...
Why does it matter
@@j_akae_6982 Because most people hope for an objective view when the word review is in play. It's still a well made informative video.
@@MartinOfEarth a review doesn’t have to be opinionated to be a review
@@j_akae_6982 I don’t think you’re understanding the difference between a review and a overview or showcase. They are completely different things
3:35 what is that belaying 🤔
I was waiting for a real hand pinch at 04:10 😬
Hardly a review when you get La Sportiva sponsored people to talk about it..
They're not exactly going to say it's shit, are they?
Thinking about buying those for some time now still undecided between tc pro and mastero alpine - anyone tested both?
Oh ugh, that's what I think of the updated TC Pro. I've struggled with them since the update came out. The first gen was fine for me, just an odd break in period of 10 pitches or so, and I'd get my usual great first sole and one good resole. By the end of the resole the shoe would be falling apart. I didn't care, just buy another size 41 and repeat.
I bought my usual size 41 2nd gen when first available, Struggled to break in and finally gave up. WHAT IS WITH THE STUPID YELLOW TAB!? Seemingly designed to stab your foot. I then got a 41.5, have struggled to break in for about a year of intermittent use. These are slowly coming along but I would not want to go through the process again. In a bout of forward thinking I got a size 42(!) pair, thinking that maybe these would be just right. No, the 42 were nearly 2 cm longer than the 41.5, like 2 sizes up! Tons of gap in the toe and heel. Even though they would probably have worked for long mellow routes I have lots of old shoes for that. I returned them.
La Sportiva claims the lasts are the same. Well, no. I have to loosen the laces on my 2nd gen almost to the point of having air gaps around the tongue. I have wide feet yes, but the first gens are clearly wider. The plastic tab is infuriating, there is no avoiding it. I know it doesn't bother most. But if your feet are the wrong shape this little knife is going to make you miserable.
There are good upgrades. The upper is sturdier, and it appears to have much better glue and rubber. My first gen uppers would start going downhill from day one. The 2 gens look great after 30 pitches or so. For the most part, the feel and control of the first gen is still there. I'd say if anything these are a bit stiffer, but that may be my impression because of the slow break in.
So, I hope La Sportiva brings out a third gen that combines the better construction with the first gen fit. And loses the plastic tab. What is with that anyway? It's not like it has taken the industry by storm and is popping up on other models. I've a pile of old TC's, going back to 2012. I'm slowly wearing them completely out. I guess I'll send a pair or two off for resole/rebuild, though I think the shoes lose something in the process.
what crack gloves are those?
BD. He is sponsored by them for his climbing gear I think
Not a review
Don’t tell Adam Ondra that trad/big wall is proper climbing 🙊
Which crag of the orco valley is that?
Sergent
