I really haven't seen much from JHS and it really opens my eyes to the real difference there is between the G-League and the NBA, if JHS is 'TEARING UP the G-League' as you say, because he isn't very useful atm on our Lakers NBA squad atm tbh with you. #lakers4ever #17championshipsandcountingbaby
Phil Handy needs to work his magic on JHS during the offseason
one of the reasons they drafted him was because he had a reputation for working hard to improve himself as a player. if he's progressing a lot already then it gives me confidence in the pick for the future. still not sure he'll be a star, but not every player has to be to make an impact
my big question on him is if his nba stint did irreparable damage to his confidence. when one's first year final stat line reads a 1.3 ppg average, knowing already players drafted later are on course already to hearty nba careers, I can't recall any player who eventually turned it around to even stick around in the league long enough to even crack the mid-tier level nba player at least getting 20 min. it would be a huge hill to climb for any young player with that over his head. still if he could figure it out it would be a tremendous underdog story that would make great UA-cam content for any fan channel.
i saw him in Garbage minutes i realized JHS problem is actually pressure....without all the pressure he plays well but when he's under NBA pressure he can't shoot or play under control. too good for G league but not ready for the big League. i like what he's doing and his physical growth
That's a key statement you made '.... not ready for the big League' I totally agree. He actually needs to stay there and not waste time on our bench, he needs to keep playing in the G-League to get his confidence and skills up or else it's going to take forever
@@vtownboxingfan he’s ready right now skill wise in my opinion but I believe he has a Ben Simmons problem. Kid has some demons to exercise because the Fans for the Lakers are brutal. If he was on a team where he can actually get minutes and awarded margin for error I think he would flourish by all star weekend but not here. He get no run, pulled fast, criticized online lol it won’t be easy for this kid plus look at max Christie situation. He took a big leap and still can’t find solid minutes on this team so JHS have wayssss to go

I notice that top drafted rookies of lakers can’t improve while Lebrun is still around. They will be traded for veterans to suit the need of helping Lebruns championships. Wasted were Imgram, Ball , Randle, Hart & sooo much talents 😢😢😢

Drafted into a tough situation for any player. Alot of pressure, but a blessing! Being that the Lakers must win now, there's no time for playing thru young rookie mistakes and developing on the go. He can definitely play, as you can see. Great size and strength for a lead guard. Keep working and hoopin 💪🏽 💯

Although he hasn't made many shots in the nba I do like that he's not afraid to take his shots even if they aint going when he's in the game. I also don't think gleague success is necessarily transferable to the big league so I don't think it's fair to call those critical of him casuals. Most recently scottie pippen Jr looked great in the gleague and he's still struggling to find a roster spot in the league.

Imagine the Lakers had taken Tatum or Fox with that #2 pick instead of ball. When we already had D-Lo at pg. Magic did some real damage t our squad. Giving Zubac to the Clippers is still unforgivable to me.
