As a leash kid, it did nothing to my independence lol. I was a runner! I figured out people in stores would give me candy to keep me from crying while they found my mom. Favorite thing was hiding in clothing racks and scaring old ladies. My poor mom.
When my kids were 8mos old & 2yrs old(they are 18mos apart in age), we had to travel from Munich back to CA(we lived in Germany for 2 yrs). I had to do this on my own, I was so thankful for the child "leash" it was so helpful while pushing the stroller with my daughter's car seat & all the carry-on stuff. The other helpful thing was Tylenol & benadryl
EM AND CHRISTINE. The plot of a planned haunting to catch a murderer is a movie! It's called Om Shanti Om, an Indian movie that's pretty popular around South Asia. Fair warning though, it does kinda feel like a fever dream and rippling abs (but like in a good way) in some areas. I highly recommend, the cast is very talented, though, it is an older movie. I highly recommend watching with English subtitles.
i would love if one day em covered dolores cannon, a hypnotherapist who specialized in past life regressions, and was a big part in popularizing the whole concept starting in (i think?) the 80's and on. she also wrote a bunch of spirituality books based on what her clients were saying/experiencing during their hypnosis sessions also, as per the intro convo, i'm not a parent yet, but i was a leash kid and whatever effect that may or may not have had on my psyche, really doesn't hold a candle to just growing up neurodivergent and undiagnosed lmao
Another former leash kid here. The only vague memory I have of being on a leash is feeling scared/overwhelmed in a crowd at Disney World and then feeling a tug on my backpack. It was momentarily frustrating (because of that fear) but I quickly calmed down because I knew the tug meant I wouldn’t get swept up in the crowd. So I’m fully on board with kid leashes in crowded places haha
The phenomenon of the dad/husband being especially attached to the house is such a specific but common thing in these stories! The Cryptonaut podcast is doing a series right now on Stardust Ranch and it's the same thing, a couple buys a ranch, the wife feels the bad vibes but it's the husband's dream home. And even after all the spooky stuff gets rolling he can't let go of the place!
I heard the bit about the Grandpa's Cheese Barn shirt in the podcast and had to come see for myself. AMAZING! A prime road trip stop between Cleveland and Columbus!
Lol 😅 neopets, the way it consumed my life as a child, can't wait to play with y'all. My favorite game was the snake game but it was the neggs bc it was so easy and you could rack up neopoints fast to buy the coveted paintbrushes lol😅😅😅
I had that monkey harness for my son when we went to the airport and he was a toddler. People would actually point and laugh, I just laughed with them. That was San Diego, tough crowd I guess.
Having Mass at one's house is completely normal, if 1. You are friends with a priest or 2. Creepy weird ghost/demon/paranormal events are happening. (So clearly the last owners just had a best friend who joined the priesthood, no red flags at all in that comment.)
another amazing podcast ❤ thank you both for showing up i know it isn’t always easy. i think it’s wild that kelly cochran also allegedly served up the remains at a bbq…
Hey Em! I know you do cover some stories from around the world but it might be worth it to dig deeper into other places around the world with local stories of hauntings and demons. I feel like you’ve gone into folklore around the world but just talked about it as a generalized historic type of thing, rather than talking about say a family experiencing that folklore. I listen to another podcast where stories are sent in ( usually just fiction, but it’s up in the air and usually kept as a up-to-you-to-decide-if-it’s-real) but they tend to do that, written as first hand accounts. I could also be wrong, and maybe you have done that. I’ve been a long time listener so I’ve forgotten a lot of things you’ve covered!!
Did anyone else search Mark 16:32 and get the result "the soldiers mock Jesus"? I'm not sure if xtine knows the bible deep within her soul or this was a lucky guess 👀
I have been looking at photos of particularly attractive men all night, didn’t realize it was two in the morning here, though I am glad to see that this will be playing in the background while I continue what I’ve been doing…
just for context..my family has and is very close to the Crammers, and my folks still keep in regular touch with both Bob and Lesa. My dad and Bob served in the Army together early on in his career. Bob looked at my dad as his mentor and named David after my dad. My mom and Lesa still are very close and she visited us a year or so ago. Growing up...I remember them babysitting me. They became like family and to this day I still call them "Uncle Bob and Aunt Lesa". There are certainly some truths to the confident and sometimes cocky nature Uncle Bob has....in fact my mom loves him and gets frustrated with him for those reasons. So growing up I can attest to some of the "narcississm". Some of the things you say though really miss the mark but I won't fully judge since I'm unaware of how much you've met, talked or known him. Yeah...he has his faults...like we all have but to make some of the accusations or "shoot from the hip" assumptions/diagnosis that you lay on him are very harsh and a little ignorant. He and his family have really suffered and endured things that most of us could not imagine, or assume and to do so would be really fake and insincere. When there is "broadbrushing" and assumptions based on stereotypes of who he is, what he believes, and which side of the aisle he leans was really hard to listen too because of the relationship me and my family has with the man. All of this is just an opinion that I'm sharing because I accidentally bumped into your podcast and was really excited to hear the story....which like I said....is really good....even with some of the pod shots taken. There definitely is humor to share with him. But in the end...he is a good man who endured a terrible, hellish circumstance with his family and has only endured more loss along the way. You can totally dismiss anything I said because it's your show but as someone who had some insight and knowledge of the man and his family...I wanted to add a little more context and info. I still think the podcast and story were very entertaining.
My sister is a Lis'e. On her birth certificate it's Lisa, but she changed the spelling when she was 17 because she thought it made her sound French! 🇫🇷😏😅
As someone who was present for Xtine's story I can confirm it was a CIRCUS and if u look up "Dead Shark Eyes" in a dictionary Kelly C's picture should come up
Amniotic fluid is a sweet smell, kind of like banana water... for me, it lingered for days after birth. I smelled it a lot while I was still healing. It is something very easy to recognize after you give birth. Sad fact, years later I suffered a miscarriage and I smelled that smell, and that's what made me realize something was wrong.
If they had the kid on a leash he wouldn't have gotten away Also, Christine's knee looked like a head when someone walks across the row at the movie theaters and for a second I really had to think about where I was watching this 😂
Maybe one of you could cover the Witch/Wych Elm (who put bella in the witch elm) case? Not sure how much is out there but there's an unlisted video by Harmony Nice that introduced me to it. The case is both spooky and true crime! **I believe it's also unsolved which I would morbidly love to see y'all cover more of.
After Em said “Mr demon you’ve got stinky armpits” I got an advertisement for native deodorant 💀 (I don’t know why I felt so targeted either, I may be a demon but I just took a shower godamn)
Also to anyone who thinks the police in this story sound a little ineffective i can confirm they are some real 'Super Troopers' (like the movie) and things didn't end well for Cheif Frizzo (sorry Christine!)😔
I'm watching episode 144 A Baby With Teeth and Another Pillar of the Community and I wonder if either anyone has relistened now that Christine has a baby 😂
Master bedroom originally referred to the typically larger bedroom of someone who owned slaves. Hence “master”. So people are trying to get away from it.
They want us to come up with gossip? Em secretly reads books about celery kisses in big, spooky manors at 3am.
As a leash kid, it did nothing to my independence lol. I was a runner! I figured out people in stores would give me candy to keep me from crying while they found my mom. Favorite thing was hiding in clothing racks and scaring old ladies. My poor mom.
“All Out War or Celery Kisses” is a great Fall Out Boy song title.

loving ems hair

Dear Ghosts, Demons, and most Cryptids, please stay out of my womb territory (Mothman gets a pass)
I just got back from Sweden! Getting there is a real long haul but Sweden itself is super wonderful! ❤
I had that monkey harness for my son when we went to the airport and he was a toddler. People would actually point and laugh, I just laughed with them. That was San Diego, tough crowd I guess.
yes can we please do an atwwd neopets group?
Woohoo she’s coming to sweden 🙌🏼✨ finally a chance for a spotting!

Have experienced the latter 👻
Paranormal Caught On Camera is SUCH a good show!! My bf and I are obsessed with Brian Cano
another amazing podcast ❤ thank you both for showing up i know it isn’t always easy.

I want to believe she knows the Bible deep within her soul but I think it was a lucky guess. 🤷🏻♀️
Christine, can you verify for us? 😂
i think she knows deep in her soul
Em's face of smug joy when Christine gasps at the teeth marks in the crucifix @ 1:02:18. And then adds "Alllso, blood splatters...."
😂
I absolutely cackled at the 911 derail😂.
I’d be down to join a ATWWD Neopets group!
I have been looking at photos of particularly attractive men all night, didn’t realize it was two in the morning here, though I am glad to see that this will be playing in the background while I continue what I’ve been doing…
I can't believe the small little town I grew up in (Iron River, Michigan) would be in one of the stories Christine would be telling on here.
Wait I need the ATWWD Neopets please ;-;
Loved the stories!
I’m from Asheville! I sent in another crime story out of Asheville last week!
As a Canadian, seeing Em wear a hockey t-shirt makes me feel things.

This episode should be called "Closet Beds and Celery Kisses" lol
Omg...hearing Christine's story start and thinking "those names sound familiar"....then "hey thats where I'm from"... 😃😅🥰🤩
Me & my husband and our daughters are making the move to the SW PA/norther WV area soon and there’s a house for sale on Brownsville Rd. I said NOPE.
It took me a minute to realize Christine is wearing a Grandpa's Cheesebarn shirt. I grew up around that area and my family is in that area lol.
I laughed so hard during this episode 😂 love the banter
My sister is a Lis'e. On her birth certificate it's Lisa, but she changed the spelling when she was 17 because she thought it made her sound French! 🇫🇷😏😅
Infringing on womb territory? Her husband’s politics?? It’s all coming together.
As someone who was present for Xtine's story I can confirm it was a CIRCUS and if u look up "Dead Shark Eyes" in a dictionary Kelly C's picture should come up
"Jaw-ring?"😂
My Mom is a gasper and it always startles and annoys me so the amount of gasps Christine takes this episode had me twitching. 😂
My water broke at home and while I don’t remember *exactly* what it smelled like, I can tell you it wasn’t bleach or semen.

MEZZO MIX!!! Ahh I miss Germany
If they had the kid on a leash he wouldn't have gotten away
Also, Christine's knee looked like a head when someone walks across the row at the movie theaters and for a second I really had to think about where I was watching this 😂
MezzoMix 😍 I haven't had one in years

@ 1:17:25 If you create a Google Form, it can be exported into Google Sheets and updates every time a submission is made.
I use it pretty frequently to easily collect votes from the student body at my uni!
Also to anyone who thinks the police in this story sound a little ineffective i can confirm they are some real 'Super Troopers' (like the movie) and things didn't end well for Cheif Frizzo (sorry Christine!)😔

Very confused for Christine's story. What year did this happen?
1:38:41 why didn’t he call the book “Duck Tales Revenge” by Quack Quack? Such a missed opportunity
Hey hey.. spoooky
Crawlspaces are under the house Xtine
not bob using the haunting as a scapeghost for bad parenting
hi ppl a genuine qn: why is master bedroom not the correct terminology anymore and why is it primary bedroom? sorry just a little confused😭
Master bedroom originally referred to the typically larger bedroom of someone who owned slaves. Hence “master”. So people are trying to get away from it.
@@ariagauthier9374 oh damn i see, thank you so much!!
Hehehehehehehehe I'm the Third comment 😊
Hi im new love the pod btw I was wondering what your Pronouns are if you're comfortable sharing, I don't want to Accidentally misgender Yall
Shame updates are going behind a pay wall
