Great reaction as always but story of being moved to main stage is almost right . They where moved from smaller stage a few months before after Gimme Chocolate went viral and a lot of interest shown not at last minute that did not happen .
They did not expect as many there as it was early in the day . The Festival goers had got there early for good spots to watch the other bands you mentioned. It takes nothing away from this achievement BabyMetal won over 60.000 British metalheads a notorious tough crowd to please and 95% had no clue who these tiny Japanese girls where .As you heard the crowd chanting we want more and one more song .
They sold more merchandise than any other band and have won the hearts of British metalheads.

Great & thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 Your pronunciation of the title is perfect. The phrase "Dame Zettai (= No absolutely)" is originated from police campaign against illegal drugs which had started in 1960s. So this song implies that "Ijime (= bullying)" is considered as harmful and addictive as illegal drugs. We have to continue our efforts at home and in school (and in any society or organization or group in the world) to eliminate it. In this video, I love to see the excited people gradually turn into enthusiastic audience. Crowd into listeners. Now in 2021, BABYMETAL performed IDZ in all of 10 BABYMETAL Budokan Concerts with Su-Metal's matured voice. It was probably their message to the world.
Great reaction. As others have already said, the 'last minute' move to the main stage is exaggerated, they had maybe 2 months notice of the change - but it was still a big thing. There were threats made on social media after that was announced by some elitist metalheads who had seen the 'Gimme Chocolate' video and considered BABYMETAL to be a joke or a gimmick band or just a corporate money grabbing exercise - they were saying they would be booing them off and throwing bottles of urine at them ... fortunately none of that actually happened.
Su-metal was 16, Yuimetal and Moametal just had their 15th birthdays (Moa's was the day before). They were in the UK for the first time and spoke hardly any English. They played two small shows in Paris and Koln (Cologne) in the days before this, but this was their first major event outside of Asia.
They were given no extra time for a sound check or to mark the stage out for the choreo and were told they had 30 minutes - any longer and their sound would be cut off. The Kami Band did a short sound check and they cut one song from their set list.
From back stage the girls could not see the crowd and they were worried what they should do if nobody had come to see them, but they said they would put on their best show as always even if there was nobody there.
When they walked on stage they saw a sea of 50-60,000 puzzled faces as most of the people did not know who they were or why there were 3 little Japanese girls in red tutus walking on stage in a metal festival.
Su-metal is reported to have been thinking "This will be fun!"
At the start of their performance Moametal's head set failed so she missed the cue to start the choreo for the first song and it was only when she heard the drums that she realised they had started - she soon caught up.
In this song Yui's wrist band caught in her tutu and tore it, but she carried on as if nothing had happened.
They played 5 songs in their 30 minutes. In the second song Su had some of the crowd singing along with her in Japanese to 'Gimme Chocolate'. IDZ was the last song of their set and in that time they had completely won the crowd over - as Martinmetal said the crowd were chanting "we want more" and "one more song" as they walked off stage and their merchandise outsold all the big name bands playing that weekend.
IDZ kind of feels like a victory lap and that fits the visuals of the moshpit and Yuimetal and Moametal running. :-) And Yuimetal already having her victory banner out ;-)

@@rodneynelson1142 I don't remember an interview where it was mentioned a song was cut, but here is what the audience would have seen: Kami Band soundcheck, Babymetal DEATH, Gimme Choco, Kami Band intro before Catch Me If You Can, Megitsune and last: Ijime, Dame, Zettai.
@@autohmae You're probably right, there was no specific talk of a song being cut, but I recall a Koba interview where he said something about their time being limited and having a contingency plan and making an adjustment for that happening, which suggests it maybe did happen.
Thanks for this reaction, Babymetal really touches peoples hearts. For something which feels so much produced, it's also has so much passion, which is authentic. The authentic passion jumps at you from the stage.
Rob Halford of Judas Priest has said they are the future of metal (and I'm certain he meant one of many). And it's probably true because of their age. Their are the biggest thing in metal in their own age group and it's been that way for years. They are masters of live performance, which is such a big part of metal.
This performance shows how they are the opposite of just a gimmick. Their 10 year anniversary and record selling albums attest to that.

A história da mudança de palco é que alguns meses antes elas foram mudadas para o palco principal, não foi algo tão de ultima hora. Mas está certa a informação que bandas grandes tocaram no mesmo dia, Iron Maiden tocou algumas horas depois, e mesmo assim BABYMETAL foi a banda que mais vendeu merchandising no fim de semana.
Pouco antes delas subirem no palco elas olharam pro publico, e acharam que só tinham umas 3000 pessoas, e ficaram meio tristes, mas ao mesmo tempo decidiram se apresentar com tudo que tinham pois se tinham pessoas lá era por provavelmente serem fãs delas, foi quando alguém da equipe delas disse para elas olharem de outro ângulo, e então elas viram que tinham quase 60.000 pessoas na plateia. Elas disseram que foi quando realmente deu um frio na barriga.
Quanto as idades, Su tinha 16 anos, Yui e Moa tinham acabado de fazer 15 anos.
É esse show que isso aconteceu?

Good reaction. This is, almost in all probability, the most important performance for Western fans. It was the door that allowed us to meet them. It is likely that Gimme Chocolate would have remained an anecdote in the West without this concert, leaving Babymetal for fans of Japan.

Background and release:-
The single was first announced after the concert Legend "I" at Shibuya O-East on October 6, 2012. An early version of the song can be heard in a video uploaded to the band's official UA-cam channel entitled "Babymetal - My First Heavy Metal in Tokyo 2012", which also features part of a live performance of "Iine!". On November 8, 2012, an official trailer for the single and accompanying music was uploaded to the band's official UA-cam channel. The trailers, along with a live performance at Sonisphere Festival, subtitled the song as "No More Bullying" and "No More, Bullying, Forever", respectively. An interview with the producers of the band was published in the December issue of Marquee to promote the single's release in January.
The single was released in four versions: a standard edition and three physical limited editions, "I", "D", and "Z". The DVDs included in the limited editions contain either footage of the music video for "Ijime, Dame, Zettai", or of a live performance by Babymetal. The single also had a promotional release to customers who purchased tickets to live performances of Legend "I", "D", or "Z".
Unlike previous singles released under Juonbu Records, no songs from the single appeared on a Sakura Gakuin album, due to "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!" having been already released the same school year.
SONISPHERE FESTIVAL:-
The Sonisphere Festival was a touring rock music festival which took place across Europe between the months of June and August. The festival are owned by John Jackson and Kilimanjaro Live. It was jointly promoted by K2 and Kilimanjaro Live. It hosted heavy metal bands such as Iron Maiden, Metallica, Mötley Crüe, Slayer, Judas Priest, Megadeth, Avenged Sevenfold and BABYMETAL (the latter group would make their UK debut at the 2014 event).

- “Yava” , que é Ska Metal e ao vivo tem um intro demais.
- “Amore”, música solo da Su-Metal com instrumental de tirar o fôlego.
- “Kagerou”, com a banda Kami West formada por músicos americanos.
Aliás, todas as músicas do BabyMetal são únicas. As músicas ao vivo são incríveis.

I have watched at least three mature or old men (reactors), all of whom are metal lovers, one an ex-con, had tears in their eyes after watching this video. Full confession, I have tears in my eyes just watching men tearing up on this video too. You are absolutely right my friend... how so unloved will one have to be, to hate on these little girls giving all their best to bring the entire crowd of 55,000+ to jump and have the time of their lives

There was a bit of a warm up overseas before this big festival show in the UK on July 5th, 2014.
They played solo shows in Paris on July 1st, and Cologne on July 3rd.
Those were the shows were Yui and Moa took over lead vocals on 'Headbanger!!!' to celebrate their fifteenth birthdays.
Su was sixteen years old at Sonisphere 2014. And already commanding this Metal crowd like a boss. : )
At least the 500th time I've watched reaction to IDZ and I teared up too.

Great reaction! I have seen this video countless times, but it still made me shed a tear at the end. The way the crowd (unexpectedly, I think) responds to the „we are“, Su‘s visible relief as she enthusiastically waves her hand, her voice cracking during the „1“ of her countdown, and the girls just standing there for a few seconds taking it all in - it‘s such a touching scene. You can practically see them thinking „wow, we have really made it“.
I don’t know any other band that transfers so many emotions to their audience, most of all that positivity you mentioned at the end. Those were some very nice words BTW, and I completely agree. They have certainly had a positive effect on my own thinking, and I can see the same with many of their fans. I do believe that they have the power to make the world a little bit better.

Yes, "IDZ" is one of their more power metal -ish songs. And I love i because I'm a huge power metal fan :) The song is well written, arranged and perfectly executed. The lyrics are meaningful. Also the sound here was really good as you mentioned, which is rare on festivals... They knew they had only one chance that afternoon and they did their best.
They performed on the main stage at 1pm in front of tens of thousands of people who didn't know them. But this was the last song and leaving them asking for more is priceless!
This was a real epic win.

Essa música foi a última do bloco de 30 minutos, foi a banda mais jovem a tocar nesse festival, tinham uns mil fãs alguns do Japão que viajaram especialmente para apoiar elas na Europa, era por volta de 12:00, se vocês conseguirem o vídeo do show inteiro no início da apresentação elas estavam preocupadas, mais depois de Megtsune já tinham ganho os Metalhead, agradeço Babymetal por conhecer Lovebites, Band Maid, Nemophila, Ningen Isu, X-japan.

The title translates " No More Bullying Forever". 90%+ had no idea who they and were there for the major major metal bands. So they were the opening band and the audience saw an awesome band start plying then 3 petite teenage girls come on stage a one starts singing and the other 2 start Dancing. Those old metalhead didn't know what hit them.
The set was 30 minutes, that was all the time they needed. If you watch Su's eyes you can tell she knows she's has command of the audience. The full set is available on TY and it shows the audience get pulled in.
In Japan this performance was huge as no Japanese band/group had ever this impact in Europe, there are a number of TV shows with music industry people trying to explain how 3 teenage girls did it. One said that they the most Japanese High Schools in the world!!
Sander have a new band from Japan for you to react too; Nemophila, I suggest you star with "Monsters" and follow with "Dissension". You will need a seatbelt for "Dissension"; same singer in both.

Isn’t there a picture somewhere of these girls scared out of their wits before this concert.. Not knowing how the crown would react to them.
Recomendo Tales of the Destinies, é a música mais técnica e prog do Babymetal, se achar ao vivo seria melhor, porque até a coreografia fica complicada pelas transições da música.
E se puderem façam um react de Dir En Grey, "Diabolos" ou "Vinushka". Na minha opinião, eles tem o melhor vocalista de metal japonês.
