I love how they started off with simple, weird Babymetal Death and Gimme Chocolate to confuse everyone and capture their attention. Then, gave the kami band the stage to kick the crowd in the guts and prove they're legit. After that, the girls are back with enough energy for an army and capture everyone's hearts. You can see the crowd progressively becoming more into it just by their hands
2020 named the 10th greatest metal band of all time, through all the blood, sweat and tears. Raise your hand if BabyMetal made 2020 just a little bit more bearable.
Just remember they were supposed to perform in front of about 5k people but ended up on the biggest stage at Sonisphere by accident. Apparently all three of them were shitting bricks at the thought of playing at Sonisphere in front of some 35k oldschool metal heads that would be their biggest crowd by a few country miles on top of having a couple technical problems DURING the show.
Lets not forget Yui getting the hood stuck on her head at the beginning of BM Death and Moa missing the first few moves, then Yui’s skirt tearing at the end 😭 all those problems and they still slayed this performance and had the crowd cheering for more
Just think most of the crowd had no idea who Babymetal was. The metal-heads were there to listen to bands that kinda/sorta played their instruments well. More loud than good and to be screamed at poorly dressed men. Instead a highly professional band started playing , then, OMG, 3 teenage girls came out and began to dance and sing!!! Those old metal-heads never had a chance!!
It's so true. Baby Metal can actually perform perfectly without fuck ups when the top metal bands are consistently high or drunk or simply incapable of performing some of the shit they've written! I'm looking at you Cannibal Corpse, Slayer, Deicide, Suffocation etc. (I've seen them all live).

Exactly! You can see the difference when they came back at the beginning of Catch Me If You Can. They clearly knew that had the crowd at that point.
