@@peterchan6082 I hear there's a distinction in French, but standard English usage, by mathematicians and non-mathematicians alike, would disagree with you. And I have no idea what purpose such a distinction would serve in the first place.
@@peterchan6082 Okay, so this is just a differing usage of words. Fair enough; that happens fairly frequently in mathematics. A rose by any other name would smell as sweet, and all that. However, I do think "equation" and "equality" are conventionally treated as synonyms in the English language, and the different concepts are simply distinguished by context. Someday it will make sense to abstract addition away from multiplication. Multiplication is not iterated addition any more than the fifth postulate is universally true

2 + 2 = 4 is not an equation. It is an equality.
An equation contains unknowns that could be solved, for example 2x + 2 = 4x

Ice and snow are both solid states of water. Likewise steam and water vapour the gaseous states.
Not interchangeable, however.

The placing of division in the thumbnail was very clever
This was stated clearly and concisely, great video, I imagine the effort you put into these videos is massive.
Terrence Howard should watch this
This video is just the tip of the iceberg the very highest point
you are right.
Lexicographic order topology on the unit square joins the chat
Maybe you should show this video to Terence Howard, in case he learns something, lol…
I didn't get notification of this video 🤔
Ye anything divided by 0 is 0 because my brain hurts thinking of what it could possibly be.
