The deterioration of music from 2018 onwards was crazy... I cant really explain it well, but basically while 2010s had many great friends, a great family bond and many cool childhood memories 2018-2023 only had online friends, they hate their parents, they have no hobbies, get a mental breakdown every second week and are also depressed.

I could say that music has degraded since not a single album has come out in the last 40 years that sounded anything close to Beggar's Banquet from the Rolling Stones. Pop music is always going to change it's sound largely due to the target demographics changing as time goes on, but that doesn't inherently mean that music is getting worse. I do thing that was is currently popular is however pretty low quality, relative to what has been in the mainstream over the last 70 years.

Every time I look back on the year 2020 - 2023 it all feels like a blurr. Only when you listen to the music during that period, you really get transported back. All the feelings you felt, all the memories you made. Wow It's already starting to become nostalgic?
As someone who was in elementary school from the end of 2009 to the beginning of 2015, the first half of the video was pure nostalgia and I loved every second.
There is a sense of irony there as well, since that time period was only rather shortly after a worldwide economic downturn. But as quality of life started increasing again, people sudden got very depressed out of the blue.
I think 2017 marked the year where not every song was a bop, but there were still good songs for the most part. Then we get to 2020 and we see a shift to more risky songs that seemed to be made without mainstream appeal in mind. Then 2022 rolled around and we- wait, is that a disney song? Hold up, now there’s a song on here from 1985- aaaannd everything is freaky. I know the context behind all the 2020 songs and onward, but dang guys, why is the best music we get all from Hozier now? 😂💕

The deterioration of music from 2018 onwards was crazy... I cant really explain it well, but basically while 2010s had many great friends, a great family bond and many cool childhood memories 2018-2023 only had online friends, they hate their parents, they have no hobbies, get a mental breakdown every second week and are also depressed.

Pop music is always going to change it's sound largely due to the target demographics changing as time goes on, but that doesn't inherently mean that music is getting worse. I do thing that was is currently popular is however pretty low quality, relative to what has been in the mainstream over the last 70 years.

There is a sense of irony there as well, since that time period was only rather shortly after a worldwide economic downturn. But as quality of life started increasing again, people sudden got very depressed out of the blue.
I think 2017 marked the year where not every song was a bop, but there were still good songs for the most part. Then we get to 2020 and we see a shift to more risky songs that seemed to be made without mainstream appeal in mind. Then 2022 rolled around and we- wait, is that a disney song? Hold up, now there’s a song on here from 1985- aaaannd everything is freaky.
