Congratulations to Priscilla Bettis and Rhiannon Hart on winning my first notebook giveaway!!! Please email me with your mailing address, so I can send these out! And thanks to everyone who commented and is joining me in the notebook challenge! My first video will go up next week with my first 2019 giveaway! Happy New Year, everyone!
I have one notebook dedicated for each of my kids for things they say or do that makes me laugh or i just want to remember. I like having that separate so that I can give it to them one day and they can see how much they make my life so much better,
you are a genius... my son is about to be 3 going on 10 and i write Facebook post to remember what he said sometimes or i forget... but with this idea i will always remember
A few ideas I don't think we're mentioned: • Language journal if you're learning a new language • Bullet journal/planner • Planning blog/video posts (also keeping track of your passwords) • Thought of the day • If you're young, make a handbook for your future career. Ex: If you're an aspiring housewife, make a journal you can go to for tips on marriage, child development, femininity, recipes, etc. • Spirituality. For religion & faith, Bible verses and what not or just spiritual thoughts and teachings. • Synopsis' on books, movies, and shows + reading/watch list. • Ranting, if you're one to monologue and rant. Somewhere to privately get out the vulgarity.
I really like the manifestation journal idea. I’ve got so many notebooks just because I love stationary. Another way I use mine is my “therapy book” because I can’t afford to go to therapy so I talk to my journal like it was my therapist and try and work through things myself.
I suffered from deep depression for 3 years and I can attest that keeping a journal helped me a lot. I could never throw away the notebooks from this era because they represent my healing process. I have them safely guarded in my wardrobe.
Therapy journal is a great idea! I go to a therapist about every other week but on my off weeks I will journal like this just to make sure I am doing okay!
Yes, sounds fun. And I will start with a lovely A4 dot grid from a German museum, which I'll use as a weather journal -- page-long descriptions of the day's weather some of which I'll hopefully use (part or whole) in my writing.
Absolutely, Ill be filling up a few different notebooks with different goals for each, one for planning, another for drawing, and a third or more for writing.
Go room by room and make a detail list of personal property like electronics. Include model/ serial numbers. Great for insurance claims. Trust me. When you need the list you won’t remember 1/2. Creative Blessings
Insurance wants to see receipts, date purchase and price paid. For jewelry they want photos of the item And you wearing it. Found out the hard way after a burglary. Of course an appraisal and each item insured is better. More recent the appraisal the better Good luck in gift items because people don't like telling what they paid
I love to study for fun, as a result I have notebooks for each topic I'm teaching myself, at the moment I'm using separate ones for French, Japanese, Elvish (yes I'm a nerd), coding, my writing course and shorthand+coded languages. I also have a few for my faith and also for witchcraft.
I don't own a single notebook, but after watching your 'My Notebook Collection' video I have the itch to go and buy one, or 50 😂😂 You have also inspired me to get a planner. First thing I would love to do with a notebook is to make a vision book of everything I want to achieve in 2019. I also love your idea about the dream journal, I dream a lot 😴 I think I need to join this challenge !!!
Rhiannon, you are one of the notebook winners from my giveaway!!! Please email me at sarra@heartbreathings.com with your name and mailing address. Congrats!!!
One of the things I want to start doing is kind of like character files. I have a short version of it that have the important details I need for writing, but some times I fall inlove with and so i kind of write about their lives. So I can just kind of develope their memories sort of.
I love the 52 lists planner. I use it to keep thoughts, recipes, quotes, appointments, books read, book plots, and a section for great blog and websites.
It's a relief to know I'm not the only one who bee-lines to notebooks whenever and wherever I see them! I have so many unusued, but not as many as you Sarra :) I feel inspired by your challenge!
Yes! I picked out a notebook to use for my shopping lists, which I presently jot on scraps of paper and then lose and need to recreate and then immediately find again. It’s a five subject ½ size spiral notebook with a folder between each section of pages. The pockets are perfect for those coupons I get in the mail which I can never find when I’m heading to that store. The pages are handily perforated at the edge so I can tear out the list and easily pull off the straggly bits. Here’s the thing. I don’t have a pretty notebook collection, I have an ugly notebook collection. I have been stocking up every year at back-to-school when they are like 50 cents. But! Craft paper is less than a dollar per sheet. So I got some floral paper (and mermaid paper!) and covered the plain cover with gorgeousness. I also just started a lettering practice book in a composition notebook thanks to you. The bleed-through with my markers is horrific, but I am not bothered by only lettering the front of each page. It’s a practice book, not a worry book. Fantastic ideas! Thank you for this video!
Elizabeth Smith: Excellent idea with the 5-subject notebook! Thank you for taking the time to share this. I am definitely going to use your idea. It’s perfect!
Hi SARRA, 🖊📓📒📚📝💖💕 I have just found you on this last day of 2018-and I am more than delighted to have done so! I had NO CLUE there were OTHERS out there that LOVED NOTEBOOKS as I do! I probably only have 25 or so and thought that was excessive 🤓😱. Now I realize I’m just getting started! Sign me up for the challenge for 2019... Like you I have SEVERAL that I have used only a few pages and have actually “beat myself up” over that fact-NO MORE! Thank you so for this SARRA; what an inspiration you are. Continued success to you, from me, YOUR NEWEST FAN❣️
These are such great ideas. I've been writing morning pages and my spouse and I are keeping a daily "grateful" journal. I just realized I'm bookending my day with your ideas. Thanks, Sarra!
One of my book club members has kept a record of everything we’ve read as a bookclub. Book author who hosted is the minimum, but it often has various levels of detail. It is a simple composition notebook and is very precious. she periodically copies for the rest of us. 15 years!
Awesome ideas! I was greatly looking forward to this! I’m not sure I’ll participate in the exact challenge but I may adapt it. I’m thinking of using a notebook to teach myself to write with my nondominant hand.
This will be my first challenge I'm choosing to do for 2019. I'm super excited!! I have always had an obsession with notebooks. There's something about the unlimited potentiality of a fresh notebook... it can be absolutely anything. It could change minds or change the world or just relieve my stressed out mom brain... I'm so excited to step my writing game up in 2019! I am also a planner babe and found you by looking up planner videos. I'm so glad I did, I am a writer at heart and your channel has relit that fire! Thank you! I look forward to your next video!!
I'm joining the notebook challenge it's such a super cool idea, always to do it with a group of like-minded people will be fun! The manifesting/scripting journal, vision board, hand lettering, were a few of the ideas you shared that I will do! This video got my creative juices flowing on how to fill up notebooks! Thank you Sarra!
Stumbled onto your video and really enjoyed hearing all the different ways to use notebooks...I have been crafting cards and mini albums for gifts and have let so many things slide for lack of time... I’m looking forward to creating a gratitude journal to begin with.. I have always kept a notebook on future paper crafting projects for the next month with pics or notes on how to accomplish it....thanks
I will be joining you in this challenge. I wrote down all 33 ways to use notebooks in one of my barely used notebooks which will be my manifesting journal. I will also use other notebooks for: morning pages, book review log, book notes and daily writing prompts. I have a travelers notebook insert that I've got to figure out what to do with it. This was a really help for list.
Hi, Sarra. I’m a pretty new subbie to your channel and have been enjoying your videos. I’ll be diving into the world of being an indie author. I’ve always been a traditionalist in many things but like you always say, the freedom to do as you please is very attractive. Anyway, one thing I use several of my notebooks for is making character journals. A character journal is where you basically write the diary of a character. You are writing as that character. I also love having a visual clue of what a certain character looks like, so I will get into my Sims game and make a Sim of that character. I print off a picture of them from my Sims game and put it in the front of the journal. This is very helpful for me and is a source of great inspiration.
The scripting idea is very cool! Otherwise, a lot of those ideas I just write out in my midori TN journal ! Great content! I found you out on the 2019 planners video! 👍👍👍
Hello! I just found your channel and I love the notebook idea! I will probably use them for gratitude, favorite scriptures, exercise log, recipes, bill paying, and bible study. Other ideas will probably come to me after I watch the whole video but these are my ideas so far. Thanks!
1 plotting / brainstorming 2 mornig pages 3 gratitude list or journal 4 sticker journal (check out modest cat link below) 5 manifestatation journal / scripting 6 book review log / book thoughs 7 research notes 8 favorite quotes 9 family memorias 10 recipes keep or meal ideas notebook 11 lists of all kinds 12 meetingnotes 13 marketing plans y ideas 14 social media plans y ideas 15 blog post my ideas 16 fitness log 17 gaming log 18 movies y shows tracker 19 budget tracker 20 wishi lists 21 home improvement manager (or any project manager and task list) 22 adress book 23 vision boards 24 hand-lettering practice 25 doodling practice 26 course notes 27 book notes (non-fiction) 28 dream log 29 health/ mood log 30 daily writing prompts 31 donation log 32 idea "parking lot"
Thanks so much for all the great ideas. It’s nice to hear from other people who also enjoy the “old school” way of taking notes with real paper and pens!
Hi Sarra! I love your ideas, and can see myself implementing several of them. I don’t have near as many notebooks as you do, but have pages in the backs of several that are empty. Your channel has been so helpful to me; I have changed my way of thinking so am not feeling quite as overwhelmed. Have a wonderful holiday; you deserve to take some time off. 🙂📚 Merry Christmas 🎄
Carolyn Greene when I was a Christian I did this in Awanas. It was great! I think that's what really started my love of journaling. I loved it so much I continued this when I practiced Wicca.
Bella As I got older I found that Christianity didn't speak to me anymore. I wasn't angry at God or anything, I just felt God was telling me I needed to learn from other paths now. I treasure everything I learned from Christianity and continue to listen to new interpretations.
I loved this video. I have so many notebooks just sitting around for me to look at.i will definitely be doing this challenge for 2019. I have a lot of home improvements that need doing so a notebook will be great foe that also my eldest daughter is doing IVF this year so it's going to be great detailing all the emotions for us all to be able to look back on my notes . I also can't believe I've never came across you before now as you write the exact things I read and I'm an avid reader. I've just downloaded your first 3 books and look forward to reading them also to write them down in another notebook as this will help me to also remember what they are about. Thanks for sharing x
I think I’ll be trying a couple of your ideas. I always have tons of notebooks laying around with maybe 3 pages filled. I’m going to try and use up as many as possible next year and only buy more when I need them.
Yes! I really need this. I have lots of ideas and thoughts in my head and have a hard time recalling them when I need to. This will force me to focus on each idea/thought and put it in its proper place. Thank you for sharing this process. Looking forward to filling up some of those empty notebooks I have purchased over the years.
I like this idea of the challenge. I plan to use it for the list of books that I'm reading in the new genre that I'm writing. Starting over feels like a lot to do and learn like what are the classics and popular gems of the genre, listing what appeals or doesn't appeal to me with each story, etc. A notebook dedicated to that genre and my embrace of it would be ideal.
I've just found it possible to start writing in my handmade journals...and I'm LOVING IT!! The sense of satisfaction from making a jolly good list, and even more from knowing that I made the Journal myself. I thoroughly recommend this challenge!! Joie ❣️😁🌿
I also love writing in my handmade journals! It's an awesome feeling when it's full, to know that not only are the words mine, the notebook was one I made, too!!!
Love the book notes idea! So many times I'll read something I want to remember and then won't write it down. I think I may do this challenge... I'll have to adapt it but I really like the idea!
Hi Sarra! Thank you for the video and the Notebook Challenge. I like the ideas you had for us. I find that the size of notebook and the line spacing can really make a difference to whether I use the book or not. Here are some ways I use notebooks: -password vault (this notebook stays in a drawer in my home office) -debt repayment tracker. (I used a notebook with graph paper and colour in a box when I make my weekly payment.) -meeting themes for Toastmasters -sewing projects and materials lists with cost to calculate kits
Hi Sarra, your challenge sounds pretty interesting. I have never filled the whole notebook (I only use normal, school notebooks), but after watching few, different videos, I want to give it a chance. I plan to write down my language learning routine, yoga journal and notes from different courses that I'm taking. Also, I'm going to help my younger brother with keeping his own learning journal. One more thing, thank you for opening the giveaway to your international fans. It means a lot to me, because I know how much the package costs.
I am definitely joining this challenge! One idea I'd like to share: a favorite songs notebook. You could copy down the lyrics of your favorite songs or just make a list of them. My own personal twist to this: I pretend that my favorite songs are written by my characters, so I write the lyrics down as if I am the character who has "written" that particular song. I use colored pens to represent each "singer's" part and label the verses, chorus, bridge, etc. This is just a fun project I started for myself recently. So, I guess my first notebook to fill for the challenge will be this one!
I love this idea so much! As soon as I got done I got my empty notebooks out and the first one I am doing is the morning pages! Thank you for all the ideas on what to use them for!
This is such a great idea! I m finishing my current journal, which is the little hard kind from Erin Condren. For January I am going to start easy (so I know I will finish) and grab a spiral bound Erin Condren book to use as a journal and for lettering practice. I am also going to do a swatch section in my planner of all (ALL) my pens, markers, etc. it may take one other book to do that with because I am considering including the watercolor paints I use for journaling backgrounds. So many ideas!!! Thank you for providing the inspiration - and happy solstice!!! 💜
I love buying notebooks also but my favorite are the claire Fontaine notebooks. Thanks for reminding me that I need to do a vision board for next year.
These are fantastic ideas and I do follow many of them. :) I have different notebooks for different stuff. So, I'm unsure if I can complete an entire notebook every month but I'm going to give it a shot. 😊
Love this challenge!!! Every December I look around at all my “hoarding” and declare I will not have this stacks and piles and such by the next December.......and now I will not for certain next December as a I take on this challenge with you. I shall eliminate 1/12 of my office and planning supplies each month....no buying more while I sit and bask (stress out) in the excess. As for specifically notebooks, I plan to have one in my purse all year for jotting things down and maintaining a simple calendar and some forward planning. On the back page I made some simple “calling cards” that I-can tear out to give people my phone number and email. Love the challenge!!!
Great ideas...I definitely have lots of notebooks to use up! I need to get back into writing in the mornings so thanks for the reminder on morning pages. Will have to use a notebook to get back into that habit!
This gave me so much inspiration for journaling! I like to keep my stuff simple so I have a bullet journal that I use as a planner and tracker as well as a journal that I use for thoughts and doodles. I’m so glad to know more ways to reflect and be creative, and I’m happy to have found your channel!
I'm joining your challenge! Not sure how it's going to shale down for me yet, as one of my notebooks is 800 pages! That might be a lifetime project. I'm excited to join. I also wanted to share that I do a notebook for my cats...adding photos and funny things they do, what they're eating, any health problems. My vet loves it when I bring it in with me!
I started morning pages a few months ago, but not consistent daily yet. I thought about scripture writing Ta-da journal- a list of awesome things you have done and the writing about each event. I did this after trying to come up with a bucket list and watching UA-cam videos about it, I had already done so many so- ta-done.
I am planning on joining you in the notebook challenge. Another idea for a notebook is to fill it with bucket list ideas and the date of when you finished it. Or your travels. I am starting a notebook for my grandson that is divided into 3 sections. I labeled it his book for 2019. One section is going to be his happiness and thankful section. One section of it is going to be his adventure section and I haven't decided yet what the third section is going to be. Maybe a drawing section to see how he improves.
I just started a bujo in April '18. I love it and my current style is generally minimalist. I love keeping things all in one place and having a weekly reminder of my busy mom schedule. I still keep electronic planner but love the extra stuff I can put in my bullet journal. Looking forward to expanding my journaling use in 2019. your video gave me lots of ideas: #1. tracking family healthcare expenses (keying off of your donation tracking which I'll also do.)
So many great ideas - definitely using several, including the craft of writing notes (from nonfiction books - I always read as many books like this as I can, too!), handlettering practice, marketing plans/ideas, social media plans/ideas, favorite quotes . . .
I do plan on doing the notebook challenge. I'm still deciding how I'm gonna fill them up. You gave a lot of great suggestions!! The manifestation and plotting stuck out to me. There's a story that I began a few years ago that I'd like to revisit and I just may do that in 2019.
Yes! Looking forward to joining your challenge and finally using my "too pretty to use" notebooks. I already use notebooks for writing research, note taking on novels being read, brainstorming, and writing craft and course notes. What I am looking forward to implementing are notebooks for visualization, manifestation, projects, and resuming my gratitude journal. This was a terrific video to start the new year. Thanks a bunch, Sarra! Merry Christmas
I’m joining your challenge, Sara. Another way to use a notebook is to keep a correspondence log. I have one to remember that I wrote a thank you for whatever - or I haven’t written yet! I also have a notebook for sermons, one for my Bible studies on women of the Bible, one for daily scripture writing, and I make junk journals for my daily/random thoughts and memories. I need to start a separate gratitude journal and another for my business selling journals. Thanks for all your great ideas here!
I am definitely trying this out! I just got done doing my pages for January today. I painted and other mixed media on all pages at least one a day some times I work on many different and go back to other and add to them.Love this challenge!!!
Totally enjoyed your video. I’m a new subscriber. I love planning and seemed to find you on accident. I love your positivity and your super helpful ideas. I look forward to binge watching your channel. I am a college student doing my prerequisites for nursing school. I am two classes away from being able to test and apply. I love your idea of a notebook for manifestation. It’s been my dream to be a nurse since I can remember. I’ve never thought to create a dream board for just nursing. I can’t wait to get it started.
I was planning on making a journal solely for book reviews and to make a list of books that I've read for the year! Of course, I was planning to write mostly about the different styles the authors write and what elements i like about each book. I'm really excited about the coming year.
I'm so ready for the notebook challenge in 2019, I've two waiting and have two small language ones started but never finished in mid-2018. Thinking about buying one for art doodles as the ones I have aren't big enough for the doodles, I want. Thanks for sharing this another way to save and keep up with what you have despite all the sales.
As an educator I have a ton of spiral notebooks that I've dabbled in but haven't filled. My goal is to fill them up before buying more. Thanks for sharing your suggestions. I will be interested in seeing how your challenge plays out.
Hi! Thanks for share this great ideas with us! I love all your videos and some of them teach me how to be more productive, and I was super more productive in the last quarter of the year. So with the notebooks things I think I will start with the gratitude notebook. It's the most forget thing in this days. Like you said it's better write the nice things we have, focus on the positive-always. (My English isn't good, I'm really sorry for the mistakes 😉) Merry Christmas! 🎄
I have more recently become more active using my planner. I have budget and wellness expansion packs. I have also started a Happy Notes book for my 2019 movie and reading challenges. Filling one book in a month is way too ambitious for me but I do like some of your ideas and will most likely start using a couple for 2019
Wonderful ideas! Beautiful notebooks! What a nice way to end the afternoon as we move into evening. Idk that I could afford to go through a notebook a month. I tend to only have enough free spending $ to buy the cheaper ones. 😆 Not that I mind as their are plenty of the $10 and under notebooks. Even $5 and under. It definitely sounds like a fun healthy idea.
I love the idea of a vision board journal. I have done the quote journal but it's just about full so I think I need a new notebook! Good ideas. Thanks for sharing.
I have so many notebooks that I don’t want to part with but I am excited to join this challenge with you! Great ideas! Very inspiring! I’m new to your channel so subscribing! Looking forward to this in the new year!
I’ve bought 8 notebooks in the last 2 aka. 😆😩one for daily use, books I read, I outline, journals. Thank you for this. Very nice. I liked, commented and subscribed! .
wow...great ideas! I have so many notebooks...I gotta get busy. I never thought I could fill a whole notebook in a month....so I subscribed so that I can hear more on your challenges! It is so impressive that you lost 50 pounds last year. I had not heard of Brightline Eating, but will check it out!!! Thanks for all these great ideas! Happy Holidays to you and your family!!!🎅🤶🍭🎄
I am definitely joining you on the notebook challenge for 2019! I have one notebook I"ve had for a few years and started and stopped a few times. I plan to use that as my morning pages journal and I have plans for several more notebooks thanks to your list and a few other videos of yours. Thank you so much and happy holidays!
So glad I found your channel! Lots of great ideas for all my notebooks! Excited to see what 2019 will bring creatively with using my notebooks up too. 💖😍😉
I will join. I have been eyeing the craft of planning and journaling for some time now and I have always been a person of lists. Maybe it's my age but I get the feeling my life is just passing by and I seem to forget a lot of happenings like you took things for granted. So by starting I will try to live more conscious. So I will start my planner next year, as well as a notebook on memories to keep, books I want to read, drawings I did and probably German courses I am going to take. But also one for lists for like ideas for presents and places I would like to spent holidays. Looking forward to starting
Thanks for the great ideas! I really need to start some of them. The dream journal will be very interesting, other journals are just needed to keep me on the right path! Thanks for your time!!!
Lots of great ideas. We are using some of our notebooks for budgets. We're setting goals to pay off debts. I've started one as a to do list for our home. I love calligraphy and want to use one for practicing letters. I also want to create meals for the week and vacation ideas. Thanks for sharing. New subbie by the way.
Hello Sarra! Loved your video a lot of great ideas. Maybe you could have a notebook for self care ideas. Ways to unwind and relax. You could add details like where could you do it and when and then cross it out when you do it and writing on how good it was. Love your notebooks. Happy holidays
I'm definitely going to join you for this challenge! I've been meaning to get back into the morning pages habit, and I love using notebooks to plan out projects.
Great information, I forward this to my daughter. Also I heard you say that you eat many vegetables - health/fitness notebook. I got excited when you mentioned how much clothing of bags you gave away donations-I have been doing the same thing within the last two years due to 40lbs weight lost. (Size 16/14 to a 6/8). I am inspired now to keep a more detailed notebook of my journey. I have subscribed to your channel and looking forward to writing more in the new year. Blessings to you as you continue to inspire others.
Yes, I have another notebook idea: Have a written conversation with a character from a WIP. It helps you fine tune the character's voice. I'm actually short on notebooks, so I asked for one for Christmas, but I don't know if Santa heard me or not!
Priscilla, you are one of my winners for this notebook giveaway!!!! Yay! Please email me at sarra@heartbreathings.com with your name and mailing address! Thanks!
🎉🎊🥂Happy New year! I wish you a blessing year on you profecinal and personal life!

I want a notebook 🥺even though I have a lot
I want the Moleskine notebook
I have a stack of notebooks myself and suffer from the "too pretty to write in" syndrome! I'll be joining in on this challenge!
Christina Butrum I do that too Christina ❤️
So happy to see I'm not the only one 😊 we can do this 💪🏻 best of luck..
Same 😂
Me too but finally I decided to do it, fill it up. Remember... they’ll make more paper..! Thank you for sharing, love you
its mee!!
I have one notebook dedicated for each of my kids for things they say or do that makes me laugh or i just want to remember. I like having that separate so that I can give it to them one day and they can see how much they make my life so much better,
OMG, that is such a great idea!
Im gonna start doing that!
That is so sweet, I will definetly do that onve I have kids!
you are a genius... my son is about to be 3 going on 10 and i write Facebook post to remember what he said sometimes or i forget... but with this idea i will always remember
that's so sweet!!!
A few ideas I don't think we're mentioned:
• Language journal if you're learning a new language
• Bullet journal/planner
• Planning blog/video posts (also keeping track of your passwords)
• Thought of the day
• If you're young, make a handbook for your future career.
Thanks! Excited about these.
Thank you
I really like the manifestation journal idea. I’ve got so many notebooks just because I love stationary. Another way I use mine is my “therapy book” because I can’t afford to go to therapy so I talk to my journal like it was my therapist and try and work through things myself.
Ive done that as well and it is so beneficial to journal and get it all out.
Great idea.
Are you planning to join my notebook challenge in 2019??
Yes, sounds fun. And I will start with a lovely A4 dot grid from a German museum, which I'll use as a weather journal -- page-long descriptions of the day's weather some of which I'll hopefully use (part or whole) in my writing.
Yes! I just bought several Erin Condren notebooks! I'm so excited for 2019!
Yes. I may do the recipe and definately the vision board. I would LOVE a video on creating a vision board sometime. Thanks Sarra...uhum....WW!!!
YES!
Absolutely, Ill be filling up a few different notebooks with different goals for each, one for planning, another for drawing, and a third or more for writing.
I started using my notebooks by taking notes about this video!! Lol 🤣 yeah for 2019 challenges.
Go room by room and make a detail list of personal property like electronics. Include model/ serial numbers. Great for insurance claims. Trust me. When you need the list you won’t remember 1/2. Creative Blessings
Kelly Henkins a lot of times it's even better to include pics of the items and serial stickers.
Insurance wants to see receipts, date purchase and price paid. For jewelry they want photos of the item And you wearing it.
Found out the hard way after a burglary. Of course an appraisal and each item insured is better. More recent the appraisal the better
Good luck in gift items because people don't like telling what they paid
I will join because I love purchasing notebooks. I am a paper fanatic and to fill one up as a new hobby will be therapy for me.
Me too!
I'm in that same boat 🤗
I love to study for fun, as a result I have notebooks for each topic I'm teaching myself, at the moment I'm using separate ones for French, Japanese, Elvish (yes I'm a nerd), coding, my writing course and shorthand+coded languages. I also have a few for my faith and also for witchcraft.
Self Made Geek i'm doing the same too! I am more of a language freak. Have notebooks for Japanese , German , russian, spanish, finnish and swedish. :)
Witchcraft??!!

Congrats!!!
@@HeartBreathings OMG WOW, thanks so much ❤️️
One of the things I want to start doing is kind of like character files. I have a short version of it that have the important details I need for writing, but some times I fall inlove with and so i kind of write about their lives. So I can just kind of develope their memories sort of.
Jolene Blake oooo I love this idea! Like have notebook for inspiration characters and situations.
No that’s not really what I mean.
I might have watched this video 10 time’s now it keeps getting suggested to me and it is so useful
Do you save the filled notebooks after they are filled? Thats my challenge of what to do with them.
I keep mine.
@@ultravioletpisces3666 yeah same
I'm joining the challenge to fill up my notebooks so I can justify buying more! :-)
!!! I’m soooo glad I’m not the only one that makes Sims versions of my characters!
@@FrostKitty14 😀😀😀 I wonder how many people actually do that but don’t admit to it. Hey, no pride here. 🤣🤣 I love making Sims of my characters.
Thanks!
I am so doing these challenge!!!! I am going to try the scripting theme!!! How cool is this!! So excited.

Oh a game log! Awesome idea! My family plays a ton of strategy board and card games. This would be great for remembering what we played and who won.
Another idea: Faith journal. Contains notes of Bible readings, prayer lists, sermon notes, etc.
Carolyn Greene when I was a Christian I did this in Awanas. It was great! I think that's what really started my love of journaling. I loved it so much I continued this when I practiced Wicca.
Olivia E what do you mean when?
@@franziska9260 totally agree, Happy Christmas!!
Good luck to everyone in the give away. Both notebooks are beautiful. Such generosity, Sarra. Happy holidays!!!!!🎄🎅🏼🤶🏼
Love the book notes idea! So many times I'll read something I want to remember and then won't write it down. I think I may do this challenge... I'll have to adapt it but I really like the idea!
I LOVE Notebooks and Planners and I'm going to give the Notebook Challenge a try with you next year!! So excited!!!
Hi Sarra! Thank you for the video and the Notebook Challenge. I like the ideas you had for us. I find that the size of notebook and the line spacing can really make a difference to whether I use the book or not.
Here are some ways I use notebooks:
-password vault (this notebook stays in a drawer in my home office)
-debt repayment tracker. (I used a notebook with graph paper and colour in a box when I make my weekly payment.)
-meeting themes for Toastmasters
-sewing projects and materials lists with cost to calculate kits
I used to do that but I kept messing up.
I may do a reading journal. I always end up forgetting why I liked a particular book and it makes recommending them really hard!
I filled up three 200+ page A5 notebooks in the last 9 months. 😊 Sooo satisfying and easy once you make it a habit.
I love this! Last year 2017 I basically bujo’d in all of my notebooks. Before I knew what bujo was. My collection wasn’t nearly as extensive as yours!
I would LOVE to see a video just on your Hello Kitty collection. 😊. Thanks for sharing!
Great ideas...I definitely have lots of notebooks to use up! I need to get back into writing in the mornings so thanks for the reminder on morning pages. Will have to use a notebook to get back into that habit!
Yes, I’m going to do the challenge. And organize myself better by dedicating a single purpose for each notebook, which I’ve not done in the past.
This gave me so much inspiration for journaling! I like to keep my stuff simple so I have a bullet journal that I use as a planner and tracker as well as a journal that I use for thoughts and doodles. I’m so glad to know more ways to reflect and be creative, and I’m happy to have found your channel!
Time to conquer the notebook stash!! I don’t have as many as you do but I’ve definitely got a few to fill up
I definitely need to do this challenge! I have a notebook obsession! What great ideas! Thank you, Sarra!
I love that you play World of Warcraft. I’ve decided to use my extra notebooks to outline the five projects I’m working on next year. Thank you.
I thought about scripture writing
Ta-da journal- a list of awesome things you have done and the writing about each event.
So very cool! I’m totally doing this challenge!!!
Yes. I will start the New Year by writing a novel for the first time and will be using a notebook to plot. Loved your video. Thanks!
Found your channel this morning and I’m hooked! You have inspired me so much today! Thank you for taking the time to make this video! Love it!!!!
How exciting! Can't wait to see your notebook updates!
So many great ideas! I cant wait to try a bunch of them out. Thanks for all the inspiration.
I have so many notebooks that I don’t want to part with but I am excited to join this challenge with you! Great ideas! Very inspiring! I’m new to your channel so subscribing! Looking forward to this in the new year!
I am so excited to do the challenge. I've got my notebook picked out and am doing plotting notes! Thanks for sharing your amazing collection with us.
I have always used a notebook or two, but this gave me several more ideas. Thank you so much.
I'm really excited about this challenge. I'm hoping to get in on your boot camp for the second quarter too.
Love the breadth of suggestions you offered. Gave me some ideas of my own. Think I may join you in the notebook challenge!
I love this idea. Can't wait to start one...
Thanks!
@@HeartBreathings Thank you so much! I will put it to good use!
I love your idea! Thanks for sharing 👍👍
The beginning sounded like me telling my friends I have an addiction to notebooks, LOL
