So, just what is a flame trap? I've never heard of one and I've been driving Triumphs since the mid 70s. Please enlighten me. Thanks. Love your channel BTW.
My understanding is if you have the tube and hose out of the block, you do not need to worry about this. You can just vent the valve cover with a regular breather.
@@WegsGarage The hose I have comes off the valve cover vent and goes under the car. The blow by fumes smell bad. The block vent is closed with a bolt. It would be good if you could vent the blow by directly into the exhaust system.
Short and simple. Good job, guys. A simple solution to proper plumbing.
It’s been great watching you work on the TR four. I had a TR four back in 1972 and loved it. Thanks again for the video I really really enjoyed it
Love your engineering and fabrication skills!
That came out nice. :) And one less source for oil on the floor. Win-win. :)
"Same Old Dad". Hey, tell him I have a cold beer waiting for him if he's interested.... a Good Canadian IPA!
Great videos. One comment i'd like to make. If the brass nut on your engine breather comes loose, it will go straight down the engine intake....
Just wondering how the addition effected the idle and if it needed any carb adjustments afterwads?

Would this work for a 65 TR4A? Mine doesn’t have the PCV valve and is just vented with a hose that goes below the engine block near the frame.
