It’s always a pleasure and an education watching these excellently made videos. Many thanks for your hard work in putting them together and making UA-cam a better place in the process.
I love my Ulysse Nardin. Great brand that doesn't seem to get much attention nowadays. For the same price as my GMT Master, the UN has a chronograph, and annual calendar complication with an in-house movement.
@guess what No doubt of that. But the spring drive movement is a truly beautiful engineering Jewel. And even If I had the money, I would probably go for Glasshütte original or Panerai.
@guess what Not sure what metric you are using, the GS series have the most accurate mechanical movements ever made.... I guess 'much better' is really a matter of use case and opinion.
I'd been saving for 2 years to buy an entry level Rolex before I found this channel. I'm still saving for a fine Swiss watch but it probably wont be a Rolex now
Don't buy and entry level luxury watch. If you think buying one will automatically open a door to all the luxury watches for you, forget it. You'll just end up with some relatively expensive watch you don't really want.
Great show! My left field watch choices would be Sinn (Sports, Chronographs), Nomos (Dress, Elegant), and Ball (Diver, Sports). And you could get a collection of 3 of these watches with less than that Roger Dubuis.
Abdul Rahman Abdel Razek Perhaps so but with the Roger Dubuis you’re getting a quality of movement that those other brands can only dream about....quality, not quantity imho....😉
you are right, but Sinn and Nomos are producing high quality watches also, i would say better than Corum, and their higher priced time pieces would even give Roger Dubuis a good run for the money :)
You can also just buy an Apple Watch or wear jonwaych at tall ? What’s your point ? Who the Fuxk would buy a cheap shitter like sin or ball ? Somebody who is either poor or knows nothing about watches ... enough of this stupid comments ... if you are so clever and greedy go buy citizen ...
You have excellent taste. The Corum and Nardin are awesome, but I must admit the new Seamaster is freaking beautiful. Blows the Submariner away, but it lists at $8k. No thanks. Show us some nice Tissots and Rados...
My left field watch choice that is super affordable is the Mido Multifort. The vintage and new versions all are priced very well and you get a unique in-house movement from a brand most overlook!
This was a great video! The educational content was very refreshing, especially with the last time piece you reviewed. The details of the watch or aesthetically amazing! The fact that this oddity was so beautifully crafted with such precision, and contained the Geneva seal was awesome! My favorite brand of watches ever since my introduction to watch is containing automatic movements, from the start and still remains-Tudor. I thoroughly enjoy reading and learning the historical information and promenade of my favorite company/brand. Having served a "few" years in the United States Marine Corps, Tudor's ties to my sister service, U.S. Navy, the Quality for the price, and its rich heritage, the Tudor brand will always be my favorite!
Rolex does absolutely nothing for me, and I don’t dive either so, there’s that. Regardless, these reviews from Watchfinder are always fascinating, educational, and entertaining always!
Being Ulysse Nardin my personal grail, I will like to know if you guys consider a Maxi Marine Chronometre, a good alternative for the mainstream luxury brands, because I have localized one that's I'll like to buy, but it will make me very happy to know, if you or your followers, agree. Keep the fine work. Cheers.
Cava Vision great watch.wish it had their top end movements but it’s design and style is great. UN has had a rough couple years on their lower end pieces but their brand cache is strong since their haute horology is still phenomenal
my favourite place on youtube.... Words can't describe how it makes me feel to watch your movies. Today i've learned to apreciate Corum and Roger Dubuis. Thank you for helping to develop my horology culture and knowledge
Just happened upon Watchfinder. Quite a find. Erudite, to-the-point, well-written and presented videos focused on the watches and not a personality. Bravo!
Seems a bit odd to add an extra set of markers for tje pointer date and adding an extra subdial for the month. Swapping both complications on the Corum would make a lot more sense
Perhaps I have overlooked it, but I can't find much about Maurice Lacroix on your channel. I was given an LC1048 Phases de Lune by my father and would love to learn more about it. Also, your review of the Aikon would be interestig. Cheers! And keep up the excellent work!
You can actually get really nice Panerai for less than the price of a Submariner (no date). Also, Zenith can give you amazing watches for such price range. Mont Blanc also have beautiful pieces within this price range:
Beautiful watches. Calendar of the Corum and the inner beauty of Roger Dubuis make them strong alternative options. However, I’m leaning towards the Corum since it is a more elegant choice.
I love the dial and hands of the Roger Dubuis but I couldn't stand the over-inflated case or the "Sports Activity Watch" on the dial. Also that bezel is hideous and looks completely impractical.
I just received my Ball Watch Company Engineer II and I'm very happy with it. Most of my collection comprises of Seiko 5 movements, I'm happy with my first four figure price watch purchase to be a Ball.
Oh I have a few of those watches that are a bit on the left from the established brands and models. Actually I drool about these two watches. First is the Hamilton Intra-Matic Chronograph, a beautiful chronograph that definitely hits above its weight class, and the other is Laco Scorpion diver, a diver that looks better then an of the famous divers and it's build quality is on par with them.. Oh I almost forgot another gem from the Laco called Augsburg, which is a beautiful fliger watch similar to IWC, but definitely not a copy. Intra matic is around 2000$ while the Scorpion is around 1100$. And let me tell you something, I would rather have those two then a Submariner, 100% true.
My preference for an uncommon brand leans toward Dodane. They're not unusual looking, in fact they're downright conventional and classic. But when I finally find the Type 23 that speaks to me, I'll know that I'm very unlikely to ever encounter anyone who's even heard of the brand, let alone own own one of their watches.
I so deeply wanted one of those Corum Bubble Divers years ago. The “Shark Bomber”, where the dial was one of those cartoon-style shark faces that you’d see on the nose cone of old fighter planes and bombers. Silly in a way, but very cool.
One of the best looking Corums I've seen and impressive price and complications. Like the RD movement but find the nomenclature too youthful for my tastes.
the best thing I can think of without breaking the bank is buying a zenith el primero its swill and has an in house movement and its way cheaper if you buy a used one.
MrThejoff: I own a Shellman Grand Complication and am very happy with it. I prefer the Shellman dial to the Citizen Campanola on which it is based. I only wish they had blued the hour and minute hands.
We know you want more watches…. click here: linktr.ee/watchfinder
It’s always a pleasure and an education watching these excellently made videos. Many thanks for your hard work in putting them together and making UA-cam a better place in the process.
Agree entirely but they do seem rather opposed to Breitling which is strange.
I love my Ulysse Nardin. Great brand that doesn't seem to get much attention nowadays. For the same price as my GMT Master, the UN has a chronograph, and annual calendar complication with an in-house movement.
Matt Wasilewicz I love UN!
great looking watches
Which one do you have? I've been eyeing the Maxi Marine Diver but the ETA movement is eh even with the power reserve bolted on.
UN is beautiful and unique
Grand Seiko. I have Swiss made pieces from those you mentioned in this video but my GS Chrono/GMT receives major wrist time.
Props yo you, those are just beautiful time pieces. Hope I can afford one someday.
I'm still saving for a fine Swiss watch but it probably wont be a Rolex now
Have you bought one yet?
Good call. The new Seamaster is my favorite, but pricey. Depending on budget, look at Rado and Montblanc...
Don't buy and entry level luxury watch. If you think buying one will automatically open a door to all the luxury watches for you, forget it. You'll just end up with some relatively expensive watch you don't really want.
I would love to see some reviews of Longines and know what you think of them, thank you.
The artful dodger of the macro lens. Beautiful work as always.
7:20 "...for - get this - less than 5000 pounds."
You great salesman....
So what was this great party trick again? I must've missed it.
Fascinating video. For me it's Oris every time. Stunning value for top quality.
Oris and Rado. Even Tissot...
I love my Corum Ardmirals Cup. It was the first watch in my collection.

If you can't appreciate the quality of a Sinn or Nomos, I'd argue you aren't a true watch enthusiast.
Same for me but i would exchange Sinn for Reservoir - less sporty or rather sporty in a mechanical way with an elegant twist
Best watch show, I always learn something new & interesting. Thank you for all your efforts!
I prefer the All-Dials, but glad to see Mido getting a shout out.
This was a great video! The educational content was very refreshing, especially with the last time piece you reviewed. The details of the watch or aesthetically amazing! Would you do a video on Vostok watches? I know, they cost half a penny but they seem to have an interesting heritage.
Russian watches are really interesting !! I want video on them too !! Cheers bro!
I suppose my Rolex/Omega alternatives are a little more obvious.
Perhaps a Tudor BB 58, Grand Seiko Snowflake, perhaps a bottom end Glashutte or JLC.
Any idea where I could buy the UN ???
Rolex does absolutely nothing for me, and I don’t dive either so, there’s that. Regardless, these reviews from Watchfinder are always fascinating, educational, and entertaining always!
Totally agree, Rolex' are ugly and highly overrated.
They are nice if you can get them at retail price
Being Ulysse Nardin my personal grail, I will like to know if you guys consider a Maxi Marine Chronometre, a good alternative for the mainstream luxury brands, because I have localized one that's I'll like to buy, but it will make me very happy to know, if you or your followers, agree.

Cheers.
Cava Vision great watch.wish it had their top end movements but it’s design and style is great. UN has had a rough couple years on their lower end pieces but their brand cache is strong since their haute horology is still phenomenal
I wouldn't care for it. Theres something Christopher ward meets rolex at Walmart about it to me.
Just buy the watch you like and enjoy it. That's what life is about, you don't need our approval.
That RD is something I hadn’t considered. What a fantastic piece!!
Let's take a moment and admire the shot at 3:50. Top quality video as always.
my favourite place on youtube....
Bravo!
Are these still available, Where could I buy them. ?
Another incredible video. I love these videos especially when you show us multiple watches at once. Keep up the excellent work!!
Hi Engineer here. Can you please do one on the Rolex Milgauss? Thanks!!
Yes do it!
Milgauss vs iwc Ingenieur
Great idea and surprised to see he hasn't done one yet! Great suggestion would love to watch the history on it too.
Today Omega is building several watches which can resist up to 15.000 Gauss :)
You have an amazing voice and a wondeful way of presentation.. It's a pleasure listening to you.
I love your videos!
Would love to see a video about the new Tudor watches like the BB58, BBS&G and their new inhouse movement
This is always the best watches channel by far!! keep up the great work!
Absolutely love your channel, and regardless of my initial opinion of a watch when you fist show it, I'm sold by the time your finished.
Great videos as always!!
That transition at 3:50 though :O well done Sir, well done
Seems a bit odd to add an extra set of markers for tje pointer date and adding an extra subdial for the month. Swapping both complications on the Corum would make a lot more sense
I just stumbled across this channel by accident but I like it. I have one question though, *why do all these watches have these pink/purple parts?*
Prefer all three to Rolex, but an Omega would get my money. Excellent video, cheers 👍👍
Perhaps I have overlooked it, but I can't find much about Maurice Lacroix on your channel. I was given an LC1048 Phases de Lune by my father and would love to learn more about it. Also, your review of the Aikon would be interestig. Cheers! And keep up the excellent work!
I’m thinking of a Zenith. Would that class as a left field choice?
Funny, if I want a luxury watch, Rolex, TAG, and Omega are the last ones I thinking of. I love that Corum. I want it.
One of my favorite watches that's rich with history is the zenith El primero
As always a delight to watch your videos.
You can actually get really nice Panerai for less than the price of a Submariner (no date). Also, Zenith can give you amazing watches for such price range. Mont Blanc also have beautiful pieces within this price range:
I somehow always like the Corum Bubble. The Roger Dubius is nice but expensive at £5000. In that you can easily get a Tag or an Omega.
Beautiful watches. Calendar of the Corum and the inner beauty of Roger Dubuis make them strong alternative options. However, I’m leaning towards the Corum since it is a more elegant choice.
Excellent video! I went for a Jean Richard after one of your reviews and will go for a Ball GMT next - both left of field
I've been looking at Minase, Epos, and Cuervo Y Sobrinos.
I love the dial and hands of the Roger Dubuis but I couldn't stand the over-inflated case or the "Sports Activity Watch" on the dial. Also that bezel is hideous and looks completely impractical.
Can you do a full review of the Black Bay GMT? The comparison to the GMT Master was nice, but I’d like to see something more in depth on the BB GMT.
Love he content always!
My left field watches would be the Citizen Campanola with La Joux-Perret movement, and the Minase 7 Windows.
Hello Watchfinder & Co. I enjoy your videos. Would you please consider making a video on watch winder. Thank you!!
Great video as always!
Great video as ever... the UN I'd take, but the others are a bit of a mess. The K10 face is just a $10 design disaster :(
I like all three of those. Different but not lunatic like the Bubble. Great vid.
Could you please do a review of the vacheron constantin overseas black dial. Thanks
I just received my Ball Watch Company Engineer II and I'm very happy with it. Most of my collection comprises of Seiko 5 movements, I'm happy with my first four figure price watch purchase to be a Ball.

Brilliant video. Really got me thinking
Thanks for the wonderful video again. Can you please do a review on JLC master control geographic
Id really like a second hand Girard Perregaux EVO ... Reasonably priced for such an exotic watch. Love the over the top looks.
Doesn't the longines master collection moon phase have that same date complication, but without the annual skipping 31.?
Ulysse Nardin my great love....but this Dubuis it's incredibile Watch!!!
all very beautiful watches, thanks for the introductions
Mine is always the Tudor North Flag. Please make a review on one.
Pronounced “U-Lease”. I had an AD set me straight on that about 20 years ago when I mispronounced it in their presence.
Indeed. French speaking part of Switzerland
I so deeply wanted one of those Corum Bubble Divers years ago. The “Shark Bomber”, where the dial was one of those cartoon-style shark faces that you’d see on the nose cone of old fighter planes and bombers. Silly in a way, but very cool.
The admirals cup now is the Volvo ocean race
One of the best looking Corums I've seen and impressive price and complications. Like the RD movement but find the nomenclature too youthful for my tastes.
Those are 3 urrrgly watches but I admire your ability to find novel and interesting pieces.
Nice watches, all. Love the Corum!
Good job guys!
Who puts "sports activity watch" on a prestige high end piece...looks like something given away in a Burger King kids meal....
Great content..!! Love learning about new watches. I have been exploring Raymond Weil and Eberhard & Co..!! New brands for me.
Dept. store watches with $8 movements.
the best thing I can think of without breaking the bank is buying a zenith el primero its swill and has an in house movement and its way cheaper if you buy a used one.
What do you think about watches made by Pequignet ??
7:05 does anyone know how this engraving with a seemingly different material is achieved? Or is this only paint?
Great video - my left filed would be Longines Bigeye Avigation or Nomos Metropolitan (the original with the power reserve)
the Corum is beautiful thanks for this
Nice video mate
I want a shellman grand complication, A grand seiko, a timex expedition and a casio pro trek.
MrThejoff: I own a Shellman Grand Complication and am very happy with it. I prefer the Shellman dial to the Citizen Campanola on which it is based. I only wish they had blued the hour and minute hands.
I like the Corum Admiral Legend. Corum makes nice watches like the Corum Bubble that has different picture in the dial.
A Habring would be nice. I like the look and inhouse movement.
Well now... if I revealed my affordable left field choices here, they might no longer be either left field or affordable 🤣
That Roger Dubuis sure is fun to look at, but damn.
Excellent video. I ended up liking all those watches.
I love Oris, Longines and Hamilton.
Very nice - thank you!
Amazing!! A Geneva Seal for less that 20k is good value
Excellent video - makes me think about my normally conventional choices
God I love this channel so much.
No wonder nobody considers these watches.
Classy video, as always
Great video as ever - for me Zenith El Primero or JLC Master Chronograph all day over Rolex
Check out Concord Impresario Chronograph. Zenith inside, earlier Concord design.
Ball HydroCarbon Black is an astonishingly capable watch for the money
I had never heard of a Roger Dubois. Now it's another watch I'll lust after and never be able to own!
Good picks, I can see myself getting used to wearing them
Love to see less common brands and models instead of the usual fair of Rolex, Patek Phillipe, and AP.
Please review GP laureato 38mm
Tudor is definitely leading the way with regards to bang for your buck in the cheap watch market
