  • Tony Samara - 'A Modern Shaman's Journey' - Interview by Iain McNay
Tony is author of 'A Shaman's Wisdom'. He talks about his early life; moving to live in a Zen Monastery when he was 18; how he later went to live in the Amazon Jungle for several years moving from village to village and learning about himself and Shamanism. It is a fascinating story of determination, courage and of following your truth.

I'm only at 39 min and I think it's fascinating, and wonderful already :) Hmm, so here's an interesting realization. He's just very honest about his truth, which is very different from most people, and it touches all sorts of people and is going out like ripples in a pond. and does not seem to be doing anything to try to make money, just giving, and then what he needs is there for him. We can do that too. No waiting till the money's there, just following our truth. I get it now :D

If you wanted to listen to anything that had to do with shamanism go to 45:00, however if you want to hear about this guys life story and about zen budhism then just watch the whole thing. But again to save your time go to 45:00 for listen to him actually talk about shamanism.

@@th8257 spiritual bypassing and spirituality are two completely different things. Spirituality is about addressing trauma and then alchemizing it into wisdom. Also to the original commenter. I’ve had experiences where I’ve met beings out of body who I never knew and then I researched them and found out that the names were accurate and children are usually the most perceptive. In deep states of meditation you can also see visuals with your mind. Clearer than the physical reality. Much clearer. Might sound strange but the phenomenon is everywhere. I know this because I’ve experienced this. I am not schizophrenic.
