First, people would only notice who she is unless someone was next to her in like a red light or something or if she were driving really bad. In general when you drive, since youre focused on the road, you barely noticed how the driver looks. Second, if people called the cops or if she was randomly stopped by the police, all she has to do is show her license and there it would show the authorities that she's old enough. So unless she's doing something she shouldn't, it wouldn't be a problem.
CONGRATS Shauna! Good to hear that she had the air bags turned off and there should be a switch to flip so anyone else rides with her can have the bag on their side. I knew someone that had that.
@@gimenagarcia9284 Because for anyone that is under a certain height should have that switch installed. If not they take the chance of being decapitated. The only one that will be turned off would be the driver side airbag. Flip the switch and it's on for whoever else drives.
I wonder how strict new yorks test is. Down in texas i didnt even drive on normal roads only neighborhoods. I also parked like 3-4 ft away from the curb for parallel parking. They also marked me as fail and then crossed it out and passed me. Dw im still working on it with parental supervision. Mostly bc i dont wanna die

While I was in the Air Force, I had to take a special driving test in order to drive vehicles on the flight line. I scored 99% and asked why. I was tod I lost 1% for riding the clutch. This was in a vehicle with an AUTOMATIC transmission! I asked why and was told no one gets a perfect score on the test.
I am almost 30 and I still have my learners permit, because I had to renew it due to Covid restrictions being in place at the time it expired. I pass my permit test on my first try and I’m hoping I can get my license by the end of this year or by January.

I had a friend who the opposite of her. He was 6’3 and due to our height difference he had to adjust my seat and steering wheel whenever he drove my truck. He had the seat all the way back and the wheel all the way up.
In the uk the examiner tells you straight after if you've passed or failed, if you pass the examiner will give you a pass certificate which you can temporarily use as a license until your actual license comes in the post
It depends on the person. I personally have issues with hand controls. I use pedals. I work as a mechanic, and had to drive a minivan that just had hand controls and using my feet was out of the question. I had major issues getting this thing in to the shop.

I got like 3 wrong and the last is what made me fail, so I had to retake it like the next week, that one I passed
I am super short as well and I decided to do lessons at my school and also my test. The car had the adjustable seat and wheel but I had to bring all my cushions and wear very thick shoes to drive. Passed my first try. Have my car all decked out for me with all the extensions and cushions.

Martin, a close friend of mine, he's gone now, he also was a little person. He drove a BIG truck; and he had somebody weld extensions on the brake and the gas pedals. So when he got in and drove it, it was just like driving a regular car. Why don't you do something like that? RIP Martin.

So I have a Kia soul and I can see better with higher up vehicles than regular cars that set low. Same in the work truck that I drive I see better because the work truck is high off the ground. Although my seat has to be forward to touch the pedals
Interesting that you don’t get your results immediately, in CA they give us the results right away and you leave with your paper license able to drive and the real license comes in the mail in about 3 weeks.

Since when in New York State do you take a driving test and are not immediately informed on the spot if you passed or failed?
It is a recent change. I took my daughter a few months ago and we were surprised by that.

My license expired while i was suspended in two states, so im 49 and have to take my permit test on monday and then a road test

Super odd...they've always told you at the end of the test if you pass or fail. When did they change that?

Do you have access to vocational rehabilitation or someone who can help you modify your car? Driving on cushions can be unsafe.

12 hours of lessons?! Two months?! In the UK you learn to drive for like a year!
US driving laws are different when youre over 21 (used to be over 18). Under 21 you have to drive a certain number of hours for at least 6 months.
