Hi there. I have, unfortunately. Batteries never seem to last very long in the Tecsun PL-360, it is quite frustrating. I just remove the batteries when I am not using the radio. If I leave them inside, even when I am not using the radio, the batteries will be dead after just a few days.
@@LSWUK I think that is a sensible decision. The price difference is not that much. I do like the PL-360 and I actually think its speaker is a bit better than the PL-368, but you have many more functions on the PL-368, and the direct frequency input does help a lot.
@swlistening I received the 368 today and am very pleased with it aside from one issue I noticed. The base of the antenna (where it connects to the body) seems to have some side wiggle. It doesn't seem to be a tight fit. Is this normal Andre?
@@LSWUK Glad to hear that you are pleased with the radio! Mine also has a very slight side wiggle at the base, so I guess it's probably normal. I've had mine for some years and it hasn't affected my use of the radio in any way.
I really enjoy watching your channel, my current favourite. But you make me spend quite some money on radios 😆I have two more on their way now, a D-109 and a D-368. I obviously don't buy as many as you do (where do you store all of them? to you sell them or keep them all?) but my collection is becoming significant (and probably unreasonable! 🤭) Keep up the excellent work on these great videos anyway.
Thank you! I keep them in drawers in my study, they are all very small radios, except for three of them. I do also sell or give away some. The one I use daily for music and local FM, the Tivoli, stands on a shelf in my office.
@@swlistening You're quite welcome. My daily radio is an Amazon Basics-branded hybrid analog FM/DAB+ radio. DAB is picking up quickly here now. Great sound, has Bluetooth too. I use these small radios when in the countryside or by the sea, away from electrical noise for evening SW/ham listening sessions. My favourite so far still is the first one I've purchased: my D-808. Especially because it has air band too and I'm an aviation geek. Do you have DAB in SA?
@@F4LDT-Alain We do have DAB in South Africa, supposedly it is still in the testing phase. The last testing phase was meant to end in March this year, but I still pick up most of the stations. So it seems to be kind of unofficial but it is live. I have a DAB and FM radio, Panasonic, that I use in the bedroom. I agree with you, the sound is great on DAB, signal quality also perfect. My radio also has Bluetooth, so I use it for streaming as well.
Wow. It is a lot like the PL368. I wonder if there is a similar thing with the CountyComm models and the Tecsun PL365. Edit: fixed the spelling of CountyComm.
Hi Eyad, I don't have a PL-380, but between the PL-360 and the D-109 I would probably say the PL-360. I sometimes think it is even a bit more sensitive that its sibling, the PL-368. It's a very nice radio. But, that being said, you can never go wrong with the D-109, terrific little radio. The nice thing about the PL-360 though is the digital display, and its price is quite reasonable these days.
I've got one of those drawers as well; The PL-360 has always been a favorite. Enjoy your videos-
Thanks!
Hi. Have you experienced any problems with battery drain? I've seen a channel reporting of this issue.

@@swlistening Thanks for the reply. I'll probably go for the 368.

Still like to “window shop”. I have the GP5. Love the form factor.
@@RJDA.Dakota So do I, it's a very user-friendly form, easy to use with one hand.

Yes, the GP7 is like the PL-368.
@@swlistening Ah OK. And the GP5 is like the PL365 or PL360?
@@FamtechVideos The GP5/SSB is like the 365, which has SSB.
@@swlistening Ah so probably Tecsun and CountyComm were in a collaboration together. How interesting.
@@swlistening I have found out that the whip antenna on the PL368 is weak on the top, it popped off, but I managed to put it back in. Thank goodness.
