- Make it Hot in an Instant. Installing an Instant Propane Water Heater in the Tiny Cabin that I am building. This is a huge step towards having running water in the cabin. What a sweet day that will be!! Wiley, Jenn, and their son Michael stopped by and helped install the wall thimble since he had previous experience doing them. That was a huge help and I am very thankful.

Framily is great help. Do you have many minerals in the water? How do the instant water heaters work with hard water?
I do have heavy minerals and heavy iron in particular but I will be have a sediment filter and a whole house water filtration system, and will be purchasing a iron filtration system with water softener. Those will treat the water before it goes into the water heater which should take care of the minerals being an issue.

No insulation behind the hot water heater is going to cost a lot more in electricity to heat the water in the winter. Just my opinion. We have very cold winters in Canada. 🙂

I think its an on-demand water Heater- so much more efficient than the tank water heaters.
You don't have to insalate and put up drywall behind it ?
Yes it will be blocked in, then the insulation will go around that blocking and wall boards over the wall studs.

Yes, insulation and wall coverings are on the list but everything has to be prioritized with time, energy, and money.

Buy the wall panel accessory to be able to maximize your use of your eco flow 2 daisy chain and connect to wall panel adaptor sold by them. Hooks into your panel and then you can use them on your wall plugs like normal. Also sets you up your true back up in power failure. Blessed to watch your progress. Love ya Sister!!❤

I also know that you do as much for them that you can. From cleaning out the camper so that you had shelter while you were building, you've done amazing things! Silly question why don't they make rectangular propane tanks that you can hide in the wall
Because there is a flame that ignites the propane and you wouldn’t want that inside the wall

So nice of them to come by and help you finish getting your hot water heater put up. Just wanted to say that the Ecoflow would be awesome to use out in your storm shelter. It would help to keep your phone charged, run your fan to stay cooled or run a little electric heater if it’s the winter time and a storm comes up and even a little tv if you have one in there to keep an eye on the weather. So, so handy!

@@possumrunhomestead I think she meant the 2x4 piece between the studs, behind the top part of the metal plate of the pipe. Just in case it flaps, making noise when it gives out exhaust air outside.
