Very informative.
I have a planted tank with a pair of guppies and a colony of fire red shrimps, it's been more than 4 months now. One day as I looked at my tank I noticed the water got quite cloudy I did a water change and left it. But to my surprise in a few days I had an outbreak of these moinas naturally.
Now I don't have to feed my fish and shrimps as they have effectively formed an ecosystem.
That's quite surprising.... Guppies might feed on them which will obviously stop the reproduction of moina, but it's great that the ecosystem in the tank is well-balanced for both fish and the crustacean
@@bubblesaquacoimbatore There are only 2 guppies bro and a colony of shrimps juveniles and parents included. Main factor for this I believe is the bottom nutrient rich red clay soil somehow got carried up though I capped it off with tropica aqua soil. I believe it's because of that extra nutrient in the water column it just exploded.

How to water change
Hi Varsha, sorry for the delayed response. We change water every 4-5 days, depending upon the clarity of the water, collect all moina using net, clean the tub, fill with aquarium water or tap water and release the collected moina back to the tub. Soon we will post video on how to make water change for moina

It's 50:50
Sometimes we see mosquito larvae mixed in moina culture. So I'm not sure whether mosquito larvae will crash the culture
Maybe the large mosquito larvae feed on small moinas, it's always better to cover the culture with net or fine cloth to avoid mosquito larvae

Apologizing for the delayed response. You shouldn't use baking powder. You can use yeast or spirulina or green water and other feeding compatible for moina

Air pump needed
Not necessary, but keeping an air pump is safe with high-temperature water..... But make sure only minimal air bubbles should be set, because bubbles at high rate will kill moinas

We never tried banana leaf and almond leaf so far, so not sure about the result bro. But we will try out this method and let u know in near future

water. 3) Alot of alage and food stay in the botton of the tank, How
to remove it. How to make sure that my tank doesn't died( crash)
Couple of times, in the night everything was fine, but in the morning,
everything of dead (crash).. ( food feed are yeast, spirular power).

Hi sir, i will share few points here. Soon we will make a video on how to make water changes for moina.
1. For complete warer change: change water if you suspect immediate drop in number of moina reproduction. Use torchlight to focus on surface of culture, all moina will swim upward towards light, collect all moina using net, keep it in a cup or mug, then clean the culture tub thoroughly, fill it with aquarium or aged water and release back the collected moina.
2. During winter season, moina will consume only minimum food, so reduce the feeding quantity. Moina need 24-31 degree temperature, so make sure culture is not facing too much of chillness. Better to keep the culture tub inside room at night to avoid chillness and overnight crashing.
3. Filter yeast solution with a soft clothe to avoid debris to form at the bottom.
4. Use apple snail in ur culture tub, so that snail can eat moina's waste, which will reduce culture crashing percentage.
5. It's always better to supply low food to moina instead of overfeeding
6. It's not necessary to add feeding 24 hours once, only if the water becomes clear we shud add next day's food (yeast, spirulina) to moina
7. Algae forming inside culture tub is good for moina, if it's bothering us, then avoid keeping culture in direct sunlight.
8. Use only plastic tubs, cement pots/tanks, don't use iron buckets or containers.
