    Hi Marcello (I hope I wrote it right) first time commenting but I’ve been hooked woth your channel for years. I recentlt watched your videos on Pierre Guillaume Paris and I just came back from the shop in Paris. I’m flabbergasted by their fragrances and the quality of their fragrances. Fell in love with Isparta, Limanakia and Anti-Blues. The vendor (don’t remember his name) was really nice and knowledgeable and when I mentionned you he was really happy to help me. Thank you for the discovery👍🏾

      I have the discovery set and will check out the ones that you listed above as I haven't had the chance to experience these yet (he has over 100 fragrances!!!! incredible collection😍)
      Thanks again for reaching out Mohamed👊🏽

    I've already sampled Boundless and Lafayette Street, and yes, it's pure magic! Uden, by Xerjoff, would be my favorite in this category, although a bit more citrusy. Looking forward for #100 MT. Cheers from Brazil!

    Great fragrance choices once again Marcelo!! Vanilla Powder is one that I'm also enjoying and I absolutely am loving the scent! And Cannibis Dolce is always nice too, it actually works brilliant in the heat surprisingly! So sorry once again that I couldnt do the spotlight segment this time around. Will definitely love to make it work for future opportunities!! Congrats as well to you and Kev on K&M Tours, amazing 🤩 Have a brilliant weekend, my friend!

      I love that Cannabis Dolce works in high heat....I have worn it here over summer and I too feel that it performs beautifully.

    My favourite woody vanilla - Gris Charnel Extrait. The mix of tea, iris, bourbon vanilla, cedar wood and, of course, fig is absolutely delectable. Got such an amazing darkness about it without being too earthy or dusty, rather on the contrary it is so smooth. Go-to date night fragrance, such an addictive smell.

    Nicely done Marcelo👍👍. I love Desert Rosewood, mainly due to scent memory of central Australia. I know it’s not the most popular G&B but it is one of my favorites. Looking forward to the Live👍👍

    what a lucky day - Lafayette Street (along Sutton Place) is the first BOND N9 I've tried and i was stunned - looking forward for my financier to let my buy it in the future - it's just too good and nostalgic for me.

      Yes, life is about negotiating with your personal 'financier'🙄 and let me say, that if it wasn't for these wise, beautiful people (and I can 100% speak for myself on this), we would be very poor and sad😕
      (I'm soooooo grateful for my wonderful 'financier' because I don't have to think of the budget! That's her job😉)
      And yes, in the drydown of Lafayette, there are some woody undertones along with some amber warmth....it comes off those early sweet/citrus/fruits....I would continue to negotiate and see if you could get this soon ready for your upcoming Spring (works wonders in this weather🤩)
      Always good to hear from you David👊🏽

    Loving the breakdown of the perfumes you mentioned. More added to my ever growing list😅. Over the weekend, I accidentally walked into a niche perfume parlour 😁. I was over the moon when I discovered they carried the house of Fueguia. After almost shouting out my surprise and then going into a triad of telling the sales person about the perfume, he asked me "how do you know so much about this house?" Of course I straight away told him about Niche Fragrance Collector😊. He offered me an amazing discount on one of the Fueguia honey scented perfume....but sadly I had to walk away from it, as my own financier gave the side to side shake of the head😢. (My financier is the strict part of me).

    • @TheNicheFragranceCollector
      @TheNicheFragranceCollector  6 місяців тому

      You made me laugh out loud😂
      So if I read this right....your 'financier' is YOU!!! 🤩 You're a stronger person that I will ever be! Your self control is ninja like!
      If I played out that entire scene as you described it...I would be walking out with 8 perfumes and then working out my game plan on how I'm going to 'explain' what just happened to my financier....and more importantly, why this is a good thing😬
      Curious to know which one is the honey scented one....I gotta try this one out!
      BTW would love to know your name @hmagix9554 (I don't think I've asked this before...? If you're ok to share)....thanks again for reaching out💫

      Oh my gosh, I can't tell you what kind of willpower I needed to walk away from the offer, I've had my eyes, nose, and remaining senses on Fueguia. And I totally understand about walking away with 8 bottles comfortably nestled in a chic bag with a bow on top!😂 Just stick the 8 bottles under your financiers nose, no words needed 😂
      Yes, my financier is me! 😅I was completely bummed about the "no."
      The fragrance was/is Muskara Apis. Just WOW! Amazing fragrance, and i smelled it after having gone through at least 5 other fragrances, and i could straight away pick up on various notes, however honey right of the bat for me. So basicly the sales person offered me 50% off....yup I know... I walked away from that😢
      Thank you for your reply.
      Take care
      Ayesha.

    Emphasising don’t blind buy: rocking a Jazeel discovery set based on your mentioning of The Palace last week (tested yesterday). Heyam today. Beautiful drydown, quite dense (fall/winter) fragrance. Thanks for shining a small light on Jazeel. So far an interesting house and recommendation.

      @@TheNicheFragranceCollector For now Heyam I liked the best, Ghala is a very decent Rose-Oud and so far a like but not a love. Wid is to be retested in warmer weather and The Palace worked well in cold. Might beat Heyam but I love a good chypre. It needs some more testing to discover its layerings.

    Hello Marcelo, would love to see your take on Acqua Di Parma’s Oud, Leather and Oud and Spice, i think they are very underrated. Would you agree or do you think the reason they are not popular is because they dont make good fragrances, I personally like them.

    • @TheNicheFragranceCollector
      @TheNicheFragranceCollector  6 місяців тому

      Absolutely; at it's core this a wonderful Rose/Oud combo but there's other things going on in here too.
      I detect a sweet raspberry not in the opening (or at least something fruity) and then in the dry down the sillage for me is very sweet and moreish....so assuming that there's some vanilla
      But this is pure speculation and might be completely wrong😉

  • @DivineFrag
    @DivineFrag 6 місяців тому

    Sometimes I wish we stuck to the standardized definitions of scent profiles and stopped trying to include ABC when referring to XYZ. Having said notes within a fragrance doesn't mean it qualifies in said category, much like when people (falsely) call Layton a gourmand or when people call Elysium a fougere (when clearly neither of them are). And FWIW, I see this all too often even among experienced people, e.g. when Aaron Terence Hughes called Herod a summer fragrance (probably the most infamous one that I remember).
    Scents that come to mind when I think woody-vanilla: Bouquet Ideale, Babylon, Sultan, Silky Woods, Vanille Antique, Golden Powder, perhaps even Vanille Leather. Oh and I agree with the sentiment that the aforementioned Matiere absolutely blows. Synthetic sweet musks with coconut, basically a solar floral with no floral.

    Hi Marcelo, thanks for mentioning my comment. I will try to get a sample of boundless but since I live in the Netherlands it is not that easy like in the Usa.
    I am however in a bit of a dillema because I am just 15 and even though I love niche perfumery most of my age group doesn't, what designer fragrance would you reccomend for school that is a bit unique but still likeable enough to not "offend" anyone with?

      Awesome to hear from you Kees and you're welcome my friend...love that we can connect from across the world!

      - Hacivat by Nishane: ua-cam.com/video/wq8dU-4XB9I/v-deo.html
      - Green Irish Tweed: ua-cam.com/video/nFWC2-pLk98/v-deo.html

      @@TheNicheFragranceCollector Hi Marcello, I am sorry, but my previous comment did not upload. First of all, thank you for your reply!
      About FDB, I think they use marketing and high prices to attract people. I think none of the frags are worth the price. 0, none. I have tried 15 of them, but I am most disappointed from Heritage which is a cheap soap fragrance and Sahraa which is pure vomit. I really wanted to like this house, since I want to have one fragrance from each good Niche house. Unfortunately, I hate FDB. I think if they switch their marketing strategy toward quality fragrances, not good packaging and expensive looking ads, they will do much better.
      Again, thank you!
