Yeah, thats true. I mean there are other channels for different formats, but cardmarket has really evolved and even if I'm a commander player, I do really enjoy the matches. I think, I like more the analysis of them between the turns, and less the play itself. They give so good information and hints.
I love paper magic, but the viewing experience is typically a lot more cumbersome compared to online play - this video solved that. More like this and more modern!!
Did not expect this fire content from a card shopping website. Excellent stuff! I especially like the reality show style cut in commentary during the gameplay, what a cool idea.
Absolutely love you guys. As an old DnT player who lived and died by Thomas Enevoldsen and who loves El Maestro Nassif, this was "Euro-tastic!!!!" Great match!
The info overlay is top tier! I don't much care for the sound effects, but they don't really take anything away from the amazing quality of the info in the video.
Can we please have more videos like this where the pros play the best decks against each other because to me it is just as entertaining as anything else while also being so informative to watch
guys this is the best of the best content for modern players! keep going ! i would love to see : urza artifacts vs bg yawgmoth, titan vs living end, and any combination of the decks you already played
Such a fun video, the games were great to watch! I loved @yellowhat 's juicy top-deck smile at 45:37 when he drew into game winning Shark Typhoon, it's hard to hold the excitement haha!
Been binge watching these videos. Yall have a great channel! So glad to have stumbled across the channel. Been very educational on all the competitive magic I've missed. Haven't played competitive since right before death rite shaman got banned. Yall have inspired me to try my hand at it again!
42:55 I am sure he was correct about the play, but I don't understand why he didn't counterspell the second snapcaster to prevent the archmage counter?
Hey Carl, not sure if you'll see this but I just want to let you know I keep coming back to the old CM gameplay videos because theyre just so informative and entertaining. 100% my favourite MtG content anywhere on the internet - top class. Bravo!
I did not realize back when I was making these that people would be watching them 😅 we had so few views back then! I'm happy you enjoy my work :) it warms my heart
@@CardmarketMagic The presentation and editing is getting better all the time, but I think it's safe to say your work has been consistently great since about the time you built the CM set :) I still enjoy things like the Dredge video from before that time, but it's like the show went from an indie film to a Hollywood production overnight with the jump in quality :D Keep up the great work, here's to the future!
Five minutes in and the production quality is top notch, their own commentary is great. This is awesome content and an easy like + subscribe to get some more!
44:20 I am interested as to why Arne didn't play/crack the Delta, knowing he put canal back on top with Jace. I assume drawing land wouldn't be good for him, although the draw after is DRC again
very interesting. I'm more of a green creature turn right fanboy but I've always loved those spell heavy control decks (at least If I wasnt playing against one...), but was always hesistant to invest in a deck like this myself. Maybe will do it one day ^^
Sorry if this is a silly question, but why not counterspell the Shark Typhoon in the 3rd game instead of conceding? Your opponent was tapped out mana-wise, so the Shark Typhoon gets countered and Ragavan goes through? Am I wrong?
I think game three is a great display of why siding the murktide's out was a mistake without them the deck didn't have enough late game threats to push damage
Yeah, you do need some threats in Murktide to pressure them quicker. Also, binning the Spell Pierce was a mistake in Game 3. The mana count was still low enough for it to matter and force UW Control to play more carefully. Gab just was able to do as he please after that. I can see what Arne was doing, but I do not think that it is the correct play here.
Nice video! Could anyone share the thinking behind baubling your opponent on their end step instead of their upkeep so you know what they're for sure drawing that turn instead of what they could possibly be drawing the next?
my thoughts: 1) no good reason to know the card when you don't have interactions- decions to take (probaby when you are tapped out) 2) the opponent knows what you saw and he can play it right away (so the information you took wasnt useful) 3) if you do it on eot , you know about a card that the opponent dont know, so you can force him to take decisions around the info you have and he don' t have
Was there any point in Arna Channeling Otawara to bounce Gabs hall at 18:05? considering its a activated ability should not be afffected by teferi right?
4:07 one land on battlefield, one land in hand. Consider, bin a land. This is the moment when the game was lost. That Consider was supposed to find your 3rd land!!
Love the way, you guys set up the camera is way better to watch. The side camera is like you watching in a store, but is horrible to fully see what's happing in the game.
In game 3 arne held that counterspell when he had so many good targets for it. The 5cmc teferi, the archmage's charm on his unholy heat. Waiting to counter something big only for it to be a cycled shark typhoon wasn't a surprise imo. What am I missing??
Because the treasure can be sacrificed in response and Gabriel would not have got to draw a card off of Teferi’s activated ability. It is all one line of text that targets a single target which means that if the target is removed the ability fizzles. It is not a misplay.
Грустно, что пилот Регента не вернул Otowara ->Hall of storm Giant, когда Ragavan, Nimble Perfer атаковал Teferi, Time Reveler, момент прям на партию слишком сильно повлиял
I miss vs live. I feel excess amount of edit they put in is distracting. I do appreciate that they are bringing pro players that I have watched for several years. Corey and Ross were good pro players but not quite as good as mengucci, toralf, gab, Arne, and nassif. Corey has been doing really well since the disbanding of the show and has a great channel himself though.
I think they are less saying Delver doesn't exist in modern, and more modern deck building has moved away from Delver as a staple. My opinion delver is still a solid beater in the format, but some feel DRC and Ragavan get more value.
Game two, when Mr Nassif played his 3rd land (“Hall of storm giants”) it should have came in tapped! He placed it untapped; when he already has two lands in play. I love both you guys, awesome content; just wanted to point out what I noticed.
🐟🧙🏿 Decklists: bit.ly/3xNq2y9
I don't see the Jace or Snapcaster Mage in the Izzet Murktide list.
12:30 Lol at the Blood Moon giving Prismatic Ending the colors needed to kill it.
This may be the best pro level content out there.

Pretty much. Paulo did amazing pro content for some time but since he stopped this is the best.
Agreed
I love paper magic, but the viewing experience is typically a lot more cumbersome compared to online play - this video solved that. More like this and more modern!!
It's pretty sad that this private channel does a way better job of showing the match then sponsored official events.
Did not expect this fire content from a card shopping website. Excellent stuff! I especially like the reality show style cut in commentary during the gameplay, what a cool idea.
Much appreciated!
These videos are amazing - well produced with a ton of good tips for playing! I can't believe you don't get more views :O
Especially with SCG Vs. Live gone this really seems like a perfect content format for competitive decks in constructed! Keep it up!
That's the plan!
These two are awesome together. Would love to see them match up again!
If we hit 100 000 views, maybe! haha
The production value on these is through the roof, and is very helpful as a new player to modern. Keep it up!
That's the plan!
Guys, the production quality is insane. It's paper Magic, but all the effects and cards highlighted makes it as easy to watch as on Arena. Awesome!
I am sincerely amazed how the content on this channel has not yet attracted a larger following! Keep up the great work
Can you call your friends, family, community then ? hahaha
Awesome! Can't get enough of your tabletop content, especially with the pros involved!
Glad you like them!

That is why we play Magic, for those kind of moments!
13:50 my absolute favorite moment, Arne explaining why a play is bad and then cutting to him doing the play - hilarious! :D
I really hope we get more of these. Would love to see affinity on here

42:55 I am sure he was correct about the play, but I don't understand why he didn't counterspell the second snapcaster to prevent the archmage counter?
Might want to give Teferi, Time Raveler another read. The counterspell is literally a blank, unplayable brick while it's out.
The Germanposting and hype music take this vid to a next level, really :D

great video, a small thing I noticed is that in the delirium tracker Instart is spelled "Instand" at 36:35

He put 2 land back on top I believe
I loved the video guys, congratulations! I´d like to know the song titles which are featured in the video. Could it be possible, please?
The music when the blood moon dropped at 26:00 made the video for me.

Glad you think so!
Man, I really love these videos. I would like to see a Modern Zombie vs Modern Angels with the new Giada
Modern angles is definitely going to be the new uw spirits
Have you got a decklist to submit us?
34:18 deam what a prediction
Nicely edited, send my compliments to the editor.
Will do!
Any reason why we're not bouncing the Giant with Otawara around 18:30? Clean the teferi off the board?
Sorry if this is a silly question, but why not counterspell the Shark Typhoon in the 3rd game instead of conceding? Your opponent was tapped out mana-wise, so the Shark Typhoon gets countered and Ragavan goes through? Am I wrong?
Feels good to hear >Snapcaster is really good> in 2022

You are right about Teferi, however Hall of Storm Giants has Ward 3 - so Arne would've needed 6 mana.
-J. (Cardmarket)
What a veedeo!! Why not countering the snapcaster to kill the teferi and also protect the Jace? Just a nuubie question! 43:20 thank you!
Because T3feri stops you casting spells at instant speed :-)
@@connordaniels4644 that’s the point! Thank you mate!!
I love this channel, you guys deserve more views
Call friends, family, coworkers, costudents, everyone!!
Its not enough to have the best tcg market out there, you gotta make the best gameplay content too!
Thank you and thank you!
This was so helpful and informative.
28:08 hall of storm giants enters tapped, no?
Okay wtfudge this is the 3rd video in a row I'm watching with has that izzet deck. Are there no other decks for you to play?
4:07 one land on battlefield, one land in hand. Consider, bin a land. This is the moment when the game was lost. That Consider was supposed to find your 3rd land!!
i'd be interested to see some CEDH
Carl, we don't need to yell.
There is only one number on my volume dial, sorry but I can't get any quieter ;)

Love that comment!
This match was intense!
Plays Ragavan: “OOOHOOOHOOOHAHAHAHAH”
Plays Blood Moon: “AAAAAHHHHOOOOOOH”
Awesome content, the battle was great quality. Just want to point out at 28:10, Hall of Storm Giant should enter the battlefield tapped!
He did it entire time 3:57 as well
In both of these cases it’s untapped. It’s a mountain at 28:10 because of blood moon, and at 3:57 it’s the second land, so it doesn’t enter tapped.
snap is always good with powerful answers. modern is in a better state when snap is a good card
Delirium count at 37:51 says "instand". Not a big problem, just happened to notice 👍

There's a teferi time traveler and he cannot cast at instant speed
@@yushoteke5189 of course, God I hate that card..

really fun match
Great quality content. More of this!

at 17:08, why not bounce the treasure?
That was probably the single biggest misplay I saw.
Because the treasure can be sacrificed in response and Gabriel would not have got to draw a card off of Teferi’s activated ability. It is all one line of text that targets a single target which means that if the target is removed the ability fizzles.
