Today we build a simple GUI Sidebar Menu in Python. For the graphical user interface we use PySide6 or PyQt6 inside QtDesigner.

Show/hide signals should be connected in code, so that the panel being hidden is processed first. Otherwise there's a redraw event for a brief second and that looks terrible.

How to use Asyncio with pyside6? I have a GUI designed by pyside6 (and Qt), behind the GUI I have intensive serial communication done by Pyserial and asyncio....can I share the same event loop required by GUI and asyncio?

the dropdown part at 58:31 doesn't work. When I click on the dropdown bar only the icon changes but the dropdownbar doesnt appear. only on the second click the dropdown bar appears. whats happening?
