Bradley Darko I think that almost everyday. I can’t believe this doesn’t have 2million views every time I listen to it. This whole cd blows me the fuck away and I wish the whole world heard it
I'd say "The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza" did it before these guys, the inspiration is pretty clear, but I agree this still sounds pretty fresh. You can tell bands like Frontierer and Darko US took page out of these guys book
Josh was in Knives Facing Upwards, The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza, and now he's in Emmure. I remember seeing Glass Cloud update their FB page a few years ago and thought a reunion was gonna happen but I think Jerry hung up the mic for good. I hope he finds another band soon cause he was my fav vocalist.
I know it's an f'd up song, but I love the melody. He has an amazing voice for a band like this...it just carries over it all...especially the higher part "away...." Seen some videos of them live and can't figure out why he stays in a lower pitch. Best part of the melody for me.
Josh Travis is the most underated guitarist ever. He brings this band to life, and im not gonna lie, The Tony Danza Tapdance extravaganze was the shiz. He is one of the best progressive guitarists out there, wish he got as much publicity as Misha or somebody like that :l
the sound is made by using the side of the pick to strike the strings at a 45 degree angle (or so) this makes a pick slide type of sound while still making audible notes.
I haven't heard of them, but I like crazy guitars when there is movement to the song. I feel that with this a lot of the song is just chugging. In the beginning after the small opening it's a long moment where its just a drone of a really low tone.
Such a sick sounding band. So glad I saw Substructure post about them this morning. The metal and hardcore scenes (I'm going to use the broadest terms I can think of so nobody gets bent out of shape about genre definitions, because honestly this music is very hard to define in with a genre) are always in need of fresh new, forward thinking bands like these guys. I haven't listened to any of Jerry's previous work but I'll definitely be buying this album immediately. Wow.
He's the only vocalist in Glass Cloud and yeah, I know why you think he seems that way but honestly, he's a pretty awesome and funny guy. Became friends with him during his stint in Of Mice.
theres plenty of bands that do that. but when bands are in a certain genre they typically sound fairly similar. and if that certain style of music isnt something you listen to alot and thoroughly enjoy then those bands will sound almost exactly the same. there are so many bands out there doing their own original thing that no one will ever hear of because most people are afraid of new things and cant open their mind to something they never could have imagined.
f all these haters. glass cloud for life. im gonna order a bundle. and see these guys at croc rock. saved the date. cant fucking wait. there gonna go big.
Tony Danza And The Tapdance Extravaganza is the band Travis is from, if you listen to any of their songs, you'll realize how technical they are...what he's playing in this song is actually really really difficult :P
I'm into both of those bands (I am God Songs is one of my favorite albums of all time), and I'm just getting into this band because of Danza. Nothing wrong with clean vocals, in my opinion.
They were pretty good live, despite the fact the sound techs never turned the mic volume up at SILYMI so you could barely hear Jerry, they also tour apart their set at the end haha. I got to meet them and they are really cool dudes.

Sometimes great things come way too soon... This fits better in 2019
Bradley Darko I think that almost everyday. I can’t believe this doesn’t have 2million views every time I listen to it. This whole cd blows me the fuck away and I wish the whole world heard it
They were way ahead of time
I miss GC so much.
Same could be said for Tony Danza
@@nomeru_0 what a coincidence since Joshua Travis is in both bands
bro they were WAAAAAAY ahead of time, its so impressive
I'd say "The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza" did it before these guys, the inspiration is pretty clear, but I agree this still sounds pretty fresh. You can tell bands like Frontierer and Darko US took page out of these guys book
For real
@Maniahg guitarist wrote almost entirety of danza 3 or 4
I've never heard any kind of guitar distortion like this. GREAT SONG!!

5 years later and I still listen to this album all the time, it will always mean so much to me.
Adam S even their perfect war forever ep was awesome! loved these dudes
10 years later I'm still listening!!!
@@lil_kadaver me too man :’)
a lot of people hate this band and a lot of people absolutely love them. I have yet to see someone who is in between..
this song rules. those are some of my favourite clean vocals ive ever heard in this genre. so powerful.
I miss this Glasscloud
I am in love with the solo at 2:11 -_-
I'll never forget seeing this band live, the royal thousand still is one of my favorite albums of all time
I don't even think it's a fantastic song, but the first 1:30 is just incredible and the rest is pretty decent.
but literally everything after 1:30 crushes the rest of the song
Couldn’t agree more
That's how I feel too
i think this is my favorite song by them
What a masterpiece, I miss this band
My son thats just a burden of divorce - damn that hit me hard :(
First time ever one of the ads on Ultimate Guitar has led me to something actually worthwhile.
im work, but ive listened to this song on repeat all day and have not got a thing done
2:10 - 2:46 is simply the best thing ever.
why am i just now discovering this band in 2017 and why the hell did they stop making music
eli. Luckily its only a hiatus so there's a chance they'll come back
Hope they do come back. Just discovered glass cloud and im hooked lol
This is some strong vocal works. Wasn't this guy in several other bands as well?
Of Mice And Men.
I think Sky Eats Airplane, I'm only now getting into them :P
The Royal Thousand is gonna be HEAT......cant wait
I know it's an f'd up song, but I love the melody. He has an amazing voice for a band like this...it just carries over it all...especially the higher part "away...." Seen some videos of them live and can't figure out why he stays in a lower pitch. Best part of the melody for me.
All the vocalist at that time were sucking live, idk why, probably drugs
I saw these guys a couple weeks ago at SILYMI. They're the nicest dudes ever and their set was almost flawless. Great band.
Josh Travis is the most underated guitarist ever. He brings this band to life, and im not gonna lie, The Tony Danza Tapdance extravaganze was the shiz. He is one of the best progressive guitarists out there, wish he got as much publicity as Misha or somebody like that :l
i literally have listened to this song every day since it came out.
I'm also a die hard Of Mice and Men fan but I also love Glass Clouds. No point comparing the two artists.
Possibly the best song off the album.
the sound is made by using the side of the pick to strike the strings at a 45 degree angle (or so) this makes a pick slide type of sound while still making audible notes.
yeah, I'm also in between. Cause I love Of Mice & Men (second favorite band), but this band has some of it's amazing moments.
this song is too good
AMEN! The Chariot, Every Time I Die (which i here some of in this song), Norma Jean bands like that are alos huge in those kinda guitar sounds!
He's the only reason I stayed past 0:15 (don't dig cleans). Glad I did though! I might have to see these guys a month from now!
What's wrong with cleans?
I.AM.MIND.BLOWN.
They use a couple samples live for effects and a rhythm part here and there, but it's literally ALL Josh. Saw em Saturday night and they were amazing.
Bipolar djenty chilled out core.
they really got me into this kind of music! best thing Jerry ever did. But Glass Cloud is really good too.
This album is a masterpiece.
It drops July 10th, either way I'm stoked for Periphery too. Misha's work is brilliant.
wow this guys make GOOD music
by far their best song!
such a talented band
i love glass cloud
I haven't heard of them, but I like crazy guitars when there is movement to the song. I feel that with this a lot of the song is just chugging. In the beginning after the small opening it's a long moment where its just a drone of a really low tone.

Come to San diego!
how do they create that sound at 2:14? it's so good
He's the only vocalist in Glass Cloud and yeah, I know why you think he seems that way but honestly, he's a pretty awesome and funny guy. Became friends with him during his stint in Of Mice.
Glad to hear that!

this is just too good,
seeming them on sunday, yessssssssssssss
COME TO LONDON, YOU GUYS ARE INSANELY GOOD
pretty sick stuff! I was skeptical, but jerry did do really well in sky eats airplane, now its good to see him and this band progress into this.
thank you scream it like you mean it for introducing me this band, love em!
such filthy breakdownssssss. officially excited for this album. OM&M must miss this talent
Pretty cool. Will listen to more on here before buying anything though.
this is my favorite song off your upcoming album so far love this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so good...
f all these haters. glass cloud for life. im gonna order a bundle. and see these guys at croc rock. saved the date. cant fucking wait. there gonna go big.
He's got an Axe FX, he can do a lot of stuff with it
just saw them live at Scream it Like You Mean it, at the Ace of Spades =D
dude, danza 4 just came out, tony danza tapdance extravaganza still lives! :D
Tony Danza And The Tapdance Extravaganza is the band Travis is from, if you listen to any of their songs, you'll realize how technical they are...what he's playing in this song is actually really really difficult :P
They need to play more shows in the Hampton/tidewater region
First time listening to these guys.(was dissapointed Danzas going to die) but this makes things easier.Josh did a insane job.
So good.
why have I just now heard of these guys
I love this song... even though I almost sob uncontrollably over the lyrics, then come to and want to smash everything around me.
Chris_P_Critter Agreed. It hits me so hard the way he sings about loss in the clean vocal part.
Amazing.
Great song
Was watching The Twilight Zone, episode 15 "I Shot an Arrow into the Air". Is that where they got the name? Would be pretty badass if they did.
2021 and I’m still alive
I'm sensing a slight deftones influence here.
which is dope
ikr i was thinking the same thing
Yeah deftones are dope
fuck yeah i love deftones alot no wonder i like these guys to
yeah both are fucking amazing
PLAAAAAACED insiiiiide
SAAAAAAAAAAAFE and sound
You guys are gonna be big some day! Love your music! Gonna preorder the record!
I saw them live at soma. It was scream it like you mean it and damn it was good! This is my fav band idk why you guys are hating I think their great
wow they slay all those other bands they tour with
This is actually surprisingly good. :)
I dont usually listen to metalcore, but holy crap, these guys just sound great
A new found love!
I WOULD DRO(P) - EVERYTHING 2:50, that was the moment I got excited for this album.
Glass Cloud is a bit rough in some areas but this is only their first release the 2nd album will be a lot more well rounded and clean cut
Would love to see these guys at download
brilliant
i think this and woe is me were the best bands live in scream it like u mean it this year
the two breakdowns on this song hit harder than a fucking planet hitting on another planet
Unapologetic breakdowns
just
take it

Octave effect in the Axe FX and pick scraping scraping.
this band is so sick
I wasn't comparing them... I was just saying I'm not a hater of Glass Cloud, I actually love them a little too much now too, so. yeah.
You should put this album on Spotify, Equal Vision. :(
Blizz4rd It is?
This sounds epic to me.
I just realized the album cover is Scar...mind blown
idk, personally i love it, and i'm also a big danza fan, but i can see how it's not for everyone
some of the riffing reminds me of structures, but this is a solid jam. way to EV for singing this band.

After the AP tout their going to blow up!
this is great:)
yea for sure
The name of the song is what i think when the child in kindergarten does something after i repeatedly told him not to do something that could hurt him
omg jeerrrryyy
