If you haven’t already tried it, try a Cadburys Milk Chocolate Flake. Very nice either on its own or with ice cream in an ice cream cone. (ice cream cornet in the U.K.) Also if you haven’t tried them try Maltesers. At Christmas we have Cadburys Roses chocolates. Mixed chocolates individually wrapped. They sell them in a big round tin or you can get a smaller amount in a cardboard carton.

Galaxy ripple is equivalent to a Cadbury Twirl it’s a Cadbury flake covered in smooth chocolate. In terms of white chocolate Milky Bar by Nestle is the best it beats Cadbury or Kinder and even Milka.
I would say a Cadbury Twirl is the most similar to a Galaxy ripple 🙂 Galaxy hot choc is definitely better, I like to warm milk up in a pan and add the choc powder, soooooo creamy! Topped with squirty cream and mini marshmallows for an indulgent treat 😋
Hi I think the Galaxy hot chocolate was destined to win because the product it was pitted against was Cadburys Highlights which is like the lower fat version of Cadbury Hot chocolate. Where as that Galaxy one isn't marketed as low fat at all.
Galaxy was created by a York based company called Rowntree Mackintosh. It was later taken over the Swiss company Nestle. European chocolate has more butter cream and cocoa mass than the UK version of chocolate. I think Nestle changed the mix to make it more continental hence the richer taste. Cadbury has more milk and when I was a child the chocolate created by Rowntree Mackintosh seemed similar.
Happy New Year both xx loving your videos, always insightful to see what those across the pond think of our chocolate. If you like caramel and flavoured caramel infused bars, try Galaxy Caramel and Galaxy salted caramel. Also Cadburys Caramel is a good comparison. Don't know whether you've previously tried these but they're a good individual competitor 🙂
👋🏻 Have a small drink of water between each tasting and you will clean your taste buds and so get a better taste of each one 💕 Love from England 🏴
Galaxy is what is branded Dove in the US. We have a soap brand called Dove here It gets a bit confusing when you spend time between the US and the U.K. we also have a chocolate bar called the Milky Way bar but what the US call the Milky Way bar is our Mars bar… I think our Milky Way bar is a 3 Musketeers bar Edit -- You’ve just mentioned the dove thing in your video 😅
@@TheMagicGeekdom tread carefully with the pickled onion and salt and vinegar flavours some brands are really strong I can’t even eat 1 packet without it hurting my tongue and that’s the salt and vinegar!☹️
I spend a lot of time in our free NHS hospitals, I live on hot chocolate in there because you can’t get a drinkable coffee in there and I’m a odd Brit I don’t drink Tea. I also drink hot chocolate on trains, never at home, ok I’m odd.🏴
Are these actually sent from the U.K. or purchased from a U.S? I ask because apparently a lot of the British products made in the US, are nothing like their actual British counterparts.
Galaxy over Cadbury every time. I think Galaxy products in general have a higher Cocoa content than their Cadbury counterparts so tend to have a richer Chocolate taste.
I think that the Galaxy hot chocolate tasted better to you because the Cadbury one was a low calorie highlights version. In my opinion the highlights hot chocolate is meh. The real winner would be Cadbury original hot chocolate in royal purple packaging. I’m definitely a Cadbury chocolate fan, Galaxy is so rich sometimes that it hurts the roof of my mouth if I eat too much...which I always do! Also Wispa Golds are AMAZING!
I lived in California and was very upset when I went to 7-11 and had to have Hershey chocolate it was total let down compared with English chocolate I was very upset lol 😂
People who prefer galaxy to cadbury are window-licking keyboard warriors. Do not listen to them, their taste-buds are made from crab-scabs and they wear bicycle helmets to walk to the shops.
Cadburys chocolate is awful ever since craft took over. I don’t buy anymore. I have no idea what rubbish their putting in there but I get a migraine every time.

Hot chocolate is so much nicer with hot milk. Highly recommended
I've never made hot chocolate with water I know people do it but milk is miles better 🙂
That makes sense. 👍
@@TheMagicGeekdom let me know what you think when you try it x
In hospital they often put a drop or two of milk in with the water, yummy.
Dairy milk over galaxy a more creamy taste with dairy milk
I think Galaxy chocolate is more creamier than Cadburys. I haven't had a ripple for a long time.
I love Minstrels
The Minstrels are good!
There both as equally creamy imo just that galaxy is definitely more rich

We have tried the Roses and saw the flake in ice cream in the UK.

Thanks for the info!
Caramac, which has, sadly, just been discontinued, was made by Mackintosh's, which later merged with Rowntree's and was then bought by Nestlé.

Oh, man. We didn't know that. That makes way more sense now. Thanks for telling us that.
The hot chocolate is much better made with hot milk, i'd never drink it made with water.
That's fair. We'll have to make it with milk next time.
Facts both tbf
2 right
Galaxy is better than Cadbury by far!
Cool. Kim says try a pink panther bar! I don't even think you can get them here any more. They're from our childhood in the 70s!!! 😆
It looks like it's not available anymore, but it sounds good!

No, Galaxy was created by (and is still made by) Mars which, in the UK, is based in Slough.
You guys need to visit Cadbury World in Birmingham England next time you visit the UK.
These are always so fun to watch 🥰
Thank you!

Cara would probably love the salted caramel one. We'll have to try and find those. Thanks for watching it!
Are you two mad in the head? Stop encouraging companies to ruin lovely, sweet caramel chocolate by chucking salt in it! And Cadbury is rubbish now
Minstrels have a sugar coating hard shell with smooth choc in the middle and counters is just the inside of the minstrels without the shell
They seemed pretty similar.
@@TheMagicGeekdom it will do, they are virtually the same product just minus the shell
Try After Eights and Fry’s chocolate
We haven't tried Fry's yet.
Oh yes to both, the fry’s dark chocolate creme is one of my favourites and reminds me of my childhood along with their Turkish delight 😍
for me , galaxy cannot hold a candle to Cadbury's on any of it's products
They are both good, but we seemed to lean towards the Cadbury on most of the thing.
U deffinatly want to try the Malteser hot chocolate made with hot milk
👋🏻 Have a small drink of water between each tasting and you will clean your taste buds and so get a better taste of each one 💕 Love from England 🏴
That is a good idea.
I remember going to school the train station had a galaxy hot chocolate machine and was 20p for a cup. had to get one every morning going to school
Alright that’s it im calling the police im jealous😭🤣😭
Hot chocolate made with hot milk. And try half then one teaspoon of sugar as I know you probably like it sweeter
You should try Lindt and Suchard. Both are swiss but in Spain, cheaper than Cadbury.
Thanks for the suggestion!

Need some squirty cream on top or a shot or two of vanilla syrup in it takes it to another level. Love ya videos.
Oh, that sounds good.
I'm pretty sure your the only people on this earth that perfers Cadbury
Meant to say cocoa butter not butter cream😅.

Me too
Hot chocolate should always be made with hot milk not water
We'll have to do that next time.
They all look delicious! -S
So good!
Pouring hot water into hot chocolate powder sounds gross lol. I don't understand why the label always says water. It's so much better with hot milk.
Caramilk is specifically Australian the uk 1 is the dairy milk caramel 😁.
We have caramilk in the uk and I love it
It's come to the UK pretty recently.
It's the same as the aussie one just our own version but yes Australia came out with it first
Both chocolate is very tasty
Very true!
Generally I think galaxy is over sweet… Therefore you can I only eat a little bit of it… Whereas Cadburys I can keep on eating!

ok lol you're forgiven, you only butchered the first one :)

Aero
Revels

Curly rurly
Fry’s

Galaxy is more icky and sluppy
Cadburys tome taste cheap. Galaxy taste gorgeous more smooth and rich and smells alot nicer.
I’ve yet to see one of these where they actually let the chocolate melt in the mouth. Instantly biting and chewing into Galaxy is just wrong.
There are so many better chocolate European milka , core dor and loads more better quality than over sweet Cheapy Cadbury.
