She is a genuine badass who makes all the gun play and fight scenes far more realistic than any other female actress can because she lived it. She taught it.
She also play the understated rolls very well. The grieving wife in Criminal opposite Kevin Costner's lunatic with her husband's memories. She plays the protective mother and compassionate caring character so well, one would be hard pressed to imagine another actress in that roll.

I was pissed when I found out she was cast as WW and then she stole the show in BvS so I went to watch Wonder Woman. Yeah, she killed it. In the best way possible, she killed it. I fancy myself a harsh film critic and she was really good.
It's the opposite for me. I didn't care about her getting WW role. But I hate the movie, she don't look powerful at all. Her arms and the way she move it to fight is so funny, like a little girl in primary school who try to punch someone loll. It was not the perfect person for Wonder Woman at all, but she is a good person.

So? Those movies are for all the public, not just the "comic book superheros/heroines" public. Or, Are you telling me that superhero-based films have to be treated more delicately? Trying not to offend, to make see that in the world there is no evil, that we all have the same opportunities, that no one is going to die of hunger, that it does not matter your religious beliefs, etc. If thats the case, we have a problem! There are A LOT of problems in the world, I simply think that movies are not the way to solve it, being or not a superhero-based film. You know why? Because your way to fix a problem may not be the same way I would choose to fix that problem, or may be thats not even a problem to me!
Example given: in The Last Jedi, we see Ms. Purple hair trying to save a cruise from destruction. What strategy does she use? Not telling anyone about the plan. To me, this is stupid as fuck because, IN THE REAL WORLD, no one would do such thing. Do you know what SJW would say about me? That I an alpha male that try to attack (all) women by suggesting their decissions are stupid.
I dont give a fuck if the protagonist is a man, a woman, a white skin, black skin, yellow skin, a robot, a cat, a three eye cow, etc. I do only care about the sense of their actions and how I can enpatyze with them. I wouldnt enpatyze with Ms. Purple hair or Rey if they were male characters. But I enpatize with Ripley, Beatrix or Wonder Woman. I dont enpatize with Finn, but I enpatyze with Hitch or (literraly) any Morgan Freeman character.
Do you see where the problem is coming from? When you make a film forgeting IT IS A FILM, and try to transform it into a political/social message, and you dont even try to hide yout intentions, it becomes a bad movie.
