The Judge always interrupts lawyers trying to argue their point except for the DA, It is so frustrating.
Notice how Glanville IMMEDIATELY said, "WE didn't know he was gonna invoke. WE didn't know... the last WE heard he was gonna testify." Before Steel was able to get to the podium, he was already trying to cover this shit up!

Why isn't anyone talking about this forced immunity? How is that even legal after he already told them he was pleading the 5th? He was entrapped, choice is his right, the court stole those rights.

Going back to look at Ms. Loves body language. It looked like she was about to tell the judge something, and he hushed her.
he movements just before Woody camme in were that she was going to announce that Woody was going to plead the 5th. and was concerned when he walked in. (watch her as she turns to someone behind her and the moments leading up to that as she is looking at the door before he comes in).
as the defense attorney stated, woody stated just before he came in he was going to plead, Love learned this and was going to tell the judge but backed down in the moment

@katt i really hope you get a chance to watch or react to the review of glanville pausing the case and then the transcript review by "Lawyer You Know." If nothing else but to see how this looks to two outside prosecutors. I feel like they give a lot of context that's missing, how these interactions with witnesses would usually work and why the transcript is really bad for Love. 😅

The judge should have been following his own advice out here telling the lawyers they need to act professional because there's a lot of people watching this trial yeah did you not think that they were watching you also and how you were being biased you should have been following your own rules or you wouldn't be in the situation that you are in today

The judgacutor CLEARLY states WE, referring to him & the state! AND, he ALSO asserted how Melnick “wasn’t” his attorney, at first, & now that he has asserted himself, he has put THEM IN A SITUATION 🙃🤕😵💫
How did they not know he was going to invoke? His attorney just told them. The judge made them call Mr. Copeland to the stand and say it himself. The judge said those words before Mr. Copeland even came to the stand.
They imposed the immunity ‘deal’ on woody rather than it being by agreement

If melnick isn't his attorney then his stand-in can't be his attorney either. He would have to have an attorney appoint it to him or he would have to hire an attorney. Make it make sense

Yes they have been meeting behind the scenes besides that other ex parte meeting because after that ex parte meeting Brian still gets up and sits there and says they had another meeting with Woody without our knowledge but they emailed me about it after the fact
The anger and ire Love is showing towards Melnick here continues in the ex parte meeting. She ‘hammers’ Melnick in that meeting.

redacted transcripts are supposed to have ALL the text with redactions being blacked out they are not suppose to remove the text completely, there must be blacked out lines. otherwise its not a redacted document. its edited.

Notice how the judge cut off the counsel speaking about overhearing Woody on the phone saying he wasn't testifying?! Before he could put on record what he actually heard him tell the prosecution! The judge doesn't want 1st hand witnesses, who knew the prosecution was aware he was planning to plead the 5th, to say it on record!

Also, why did he try to flip it on the older lawyer's fault that Woody got on the stand and invoked?! He lost his cool on that guy and then never even attempted to ask the prosecution if what he was saying was true!

I don't understand this (blind) immunity. I don't understand how the state can give someone immunity but not know why they are giving them immunity. They had to have known what he was going to (or not going to) testify to. Why did they keep making a point to say on the record they don't know what he was going to say....?
With the immunity: Prosecutors do have some discretion to pursue one prosecution over another. However, in this instance, is it truly in the interest of public to give Woody an immunity deal to secure his testimony? Is it in the interest of justice? I think we will see issues raised with the DA signing off on this immunity deal at all.
An additional issue is they are misrepresenting the immunity to Woody. He has use immunity, and this means he can VALIDLY invoke his 5th amendment right against self-incrimination for anything the use immunity wouldn't protect. Yet, Hylton is telling him he is protected from "literally" everything except perjury, false statements.
The prosecution kept making the point they didn't know because it would have been improper for them to put him on the stand knowing he would try to plead the 5th.
The prosecution is coloring outside the lines, which is why what they're doing doesn't seem to make sense.

You don't even need body language. The DA asked Woody right up front: Do you want to be here and can I ask you questions. That is evidence that she knew he wanted to take the 5th. This is a clown show and the DAs must be punished. They are either corrupt or stupid - either requires serious consideration of revoking the license,
She also never shows the email she supposedly got. Bumpuss shows the email to the State and judge from Woodys lawyer during the meeting. Love says I can show it but has never showed it. Why wouldn’t you bring this email to show the Judge. Steele mentions hearing about Love saying this when he first brings up all this in court. He said that it is a lie.
They talk about impeachment in the ex parte meeting. This is proof that what Shard said is correct and the judge knew it. This was their strategy. Shard said they shouldn’t just be able to play everything bc this is their strategy. The judge says this was not the case.
Did you see how Woody's lawyer when he got done talking to the judge about he wanted to plead his fifth amendment even if you do have this other so-called meeting when I'm not here how he walked in front of the state instead of walking and back of them to get out. Immunity deals can legally be forced upon people? You don’t have to agree, or sign an agreement stipulating the terms or anything?
@martell203 correct, sort of. Woody was only given use immunity. That means he may validly invoke the 5th to avoid self incriminating for something that isn't covered.
The problem is that Hylton is telling him the immunity "literally" covers everything.
It seems like Woody realizes that what Hylton is promising isn't correct.
Prosecutors get immunity for witnesses all the time, but how it's usually done is they negotiate the immunity, and what the witness will say on the stand, through the witnesses lawyer before hand, because they know the witness, if they are going to admit a crime, need representation. Apparently Love/Hylton thought it better to end run around the defense and approach woody directly. But since woody isn't working through a lawyer, they have no guarantee of what woody is going to say. It's clear since he wanted to plea the fifth they are using it as a tool to get him held in contempt, so they think he knows something. The problem is that they can't tell him exactly what to say, and he doesn't know what they want him to say, but he does know they've put him between a rock and a hard place so why trust them? I'm sure he doesn't feel like Melnick or Bumpus are his best friends either but they didn't throw him in jail.

There's so much that went on in that courtroom that it's going to go to the supreme Court or to another judge and he's going to basically call mistrial. Like before Woody got on the stand another lawyer heard him say he was pleading the fifth and everybody heard him out in the hallway coming the courtroom. Remember when . Remember when judge Uncle Phil was scolding that lawyer or he was something with the sheriff's office and that guy was also telling Uncle Phil he needs to do better also. Because he heard Woody say he was pleading the fifth and miss love and Hilton was right there they heard him say it but the judge was trying to blame I believe he was either a lawyer or he had something to do with the sheriff's office of the deputies and also those documents that were said and produced in his Chambers where he was telling them he was going to plead the fifth but they gave it to him you can't give somebody something that they don't want so that's a whole nother issue also that Brian's going to probably bring up and another judge is going to see that the prosecutor's violated his civil rights. You just can't give somebody something that they don't want. The prosecutors did that in their favour of giving him immunity he didn't ask for it they just gave it to him. You can give somebody something but that don't mean that they have to receive it. So they gave him immunity which he didn't want period this case is over Miss fanny pack and her dirty DA's are finished they're trying to do all these Rico cases for points and credibility they bit out of the apple and they have taken too much to chew. Trying to get Trump and this young black man on some Rico cases like their John Gotti.
