You can buy the Escalade for the same price, GM really needs to cut the price of that Tahoe Trim because it makes no sense to have it similar in cost to their escalade which is a more luxurious vehicle.
A similar equipped escalade is about $115k. That would be the platinum sport trim.
@@pizaliasta8369exactly and with the market adjustments I’ve seen the platinum sport between $130-$150k here in Massachusetts.
@@pizaliasta8369 Yeah you can buy a used Escalade for the price of a new High Country. The GMC Denali is the next step up.
Some people wouldn’t be caught dead in an Escalade. and don’t want to flaunt their wealth with geigh badges and giant rims
Exactly what I’ve always thought
It's crazy to see how expensive these have become. My Aunt was one of the first people in our area to buy the 1995 Tahoe when it first came out. She bought a green/silver two-tone LS 4x4 with a the light grey interior. The sticker on it was a little over $30,000. It was a great truck and it got a lot of looks back then because nobody had them. To see these starting off around $60,000 and topping out just under $100,000 is mind blowing.
30,000 in 1995 equals to 60,000 in 2024 usd value.
Thank you Ben. I missed the Escalade and GMC comparision and you have the Chevrolet Tahoe High Country. Thank you for the review. This issue becomes out of the three which one is best. Cadillac is supoosed to be luxury and it shows. GMC is premium( Buick/Oldsmobile) and Chevrolet is the value leader with options. I still say GMC Yukon, but you cannot go wrong on any of the three.
Love this red color ❤️❣️❤️❣️❤️
I wouldn’t say it’s budget at this point they’re the same exact price pretty much.
Where are they the same price? This is an $85k vehicle. Similarly equipped Escalade is nearly $120k. I'm not sure what you're talking about
Just wait for the 2025. Also, when is Chevy going to fix those rear control arms which look like they are only about 9 inches from scraping the road
Good review. In Colorado Springs Escalades start at $110K. Do you think they will put the gear shifter back on the steering column in 2025?
At this point, not getting a navigator black label for just a couple thousand more is insane to me
I chose the high country because it was less flashy than the Escalade and navigator. Had nothing to do with the money.
I wouldn’t say the Escalade is the same price…a fully loaded Escalade is like $30K more. I was helping my sister negotiate a “deal” last February when her lease up and the Escalades were stupid money and all $10-$20K over sticker price. We ended up going with the Tahoe, it was way cheaper (plus no over sticker BS) and pretty much had the same bells and whistles. The Yukons are nice but I heard fhey are riddled with issues which is odd because they are all the same platform…..
Chevy built awesome suv red color pops
Is super cruise option available for lower trim like RST model? High country is nice and well equipped with all the bells and whistles, but I feel like the audience of this trim is for retired folks, with Corvette as their second car. With that said, if it’s me, I’ll go for Escalade for the price point, though.
I'm really disappointed the General didn't incorporate the '22 Silverado/Sierra interior refresh into the Tahoe/Yukon. That interior is not remotely up to snuff at this price point. There's just no reason to buy this when the 2025 refresh is on the way.
Simmer down Jerry
Used Tahoe RST w/6.2 would be a better buy, and one can add a lift kit, King shocks, braid wheels and BF Goodrich tires, and a winch bullbar bumper...you will be still spending less than for this loaded out truck.
The Escalade isn’t that much more. They need a a blacked out version. The air suspension isn’t really needed. I had an 2005 H2 and my rear air suspension went out in 2020. And I had it removed and replaced the entire suspension/shocks with Beilstein system. So it’s not a great option.
Escalades are for fruits
Hey Ben can you do a video on a fully loaded Tahoe versus a fully loaded suburban
It’s literally the exact same thing, bozo
Why GM still doesn't put Auto-Hold parking brake as standard function in 2024?
Push Button gear selector is garbage
Benji when are they going to reveal the 2025 Yukon ?
Sucks that 6.2 comes in the higher trims.
The dash screen looks like an afterthought and ridiculous for 90K - would not buy it just because of that - it looks like it is out of place
Nice video. I’d take the GMC Yukon Ultimate over this or the Escalade.
*especially when the newer Duramax comes to the Yukon
When is a a $91k Chevy a budget anything? Only the Trax fits that label
2024 Chevrolet Tahoe High Country 6.2L V8 10-Speed Automatic 4X4!
91k . That is crazy of a price! Let them rot on the lot!
Sadly GM has not addressed or fixed the engine lifter failures on all of these Mine had the lifters replaced at 5000 miles then a complete engine at 12000, terrible quality!for the price , they also have many electrical gremlins on these models
They have their share of problems, but there aren’t a lot of choices in the full-size SUV category.
The Toyota Sequoia is pretty much a joke when it comes to cargo and rear packaging. The Nissan Armada hasn’t been since Obama was president. The Germans don’t have a clue as to how to make a full-size SUV. The Wagoneer is not there yet that leaves the expedition and the GM triplets.
Ill wait for 2025
The 2025 infotainment screen looks pretty sweet. Definitely a step up. Exterior looks pretty much the same though... just with different headlights and LED tail lights. I'd say worth the wait for the infotainment screen alone. Looks much better than current, in my opinion.
Looks cheap as hell inside considering that price tag.
I would take a Yukon Denali instead, but it looks like the new 2025 model interior looks really good
Yeah I think it is a lot cooler and worth it.
At that price tag it’s still steep. It’s a nice truck though.
It is so over priced for what you get. For 91k, you can buy a BMW X7, Base Escalade, GMC Denali, Mercedes GLS, Range Rover Sport.
The Chevrolet Tahoe High Country isn't bad, but I like the Jeep Grand Wagoneer
The Wagoneer looks like it fell from the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down
I can’t stand the buttons being different colors on driver door and to left of steering wheel. 3:24
nice,,, i'll pass,,, got a mirage for 15k that gets over 40 mpg
That steering wheel is stupid. I wouldn't want to sit and look at red lights. Flashing the whole time , i'm driving
$91k, I think I’ll have 2.
Show the secret hidden console! 🙂
90 grand and it has cheap looking and sounding buttons. My Mazda CX9 has a nicer quality interior.
Chevy is on crack. Nobody is paying $90K. Even an Escalade isn’t worth 90k. Chevy can have fun losing billions on SUVs
Except they literally MAKE billions of dollars from them. Good try though, Chief
made for poor people
You talk too fast.
No you’re just stupid is all
