My hair looks amazing and so curly after I shower, and then it dries like 2 hours later and gets really puffy and frizzy and there’s no actual curls to it

TIP: If you never really worn your hair curly you might have to train it. Its just like waves, when men get waves their always brushing their hair, wear do-rags, and wash their hair a certain way. Same with train your hair to be in it's natural state (curly). Stay away from picks and blow-outs, like Sheldon said "no harm chemicals, and try finger coils to get your hair in the groove. When I did my big chop it took 3 months for my hair curl pattern to show it's true potential. Hope this helps someone!

Not knowing what products you use...
Suggestion: use a moisturizing leave in conditioner (example: kinky curly knot today), a curl cream (Cantu moisturizing curl activating cream), a firm hold gel (eco styler).
Apply leave in I’m the shower after you conditioner (moisturizing conditioner not cleansing yet- )wash. Then apply light curl cream and then gel. Shake and let the products sit in hair for some time (1 hour or more), don’t use a dryer till you let the products sit.
Shampoo and Ensure you deep condition with moisture weekly.

I have 3c/4a low porosity type hair. N I big chopped last August n my hair literally was hella frizzy to the point I swore I had 4c hair nothing helped. But recently literally yesterday I did a bentonite clay mask with apple cider vinegar n it helped balance the ph levels of my hair n I did a wash n go with the shingling method n my curls have never looked this good. So if ur struggling with ur hair just keep trying new methods n techniques

When I take a shower and I get out I can see my natural hair because I deep condition my hair and then I let my hair air dry either or I’ll put Cantu into my hair so my hair is moisturizer threw out the day or I’ll use Shea butter.

  • @TheAmazingXman

GREAT VIDEO! I am a firm believer in the HEALTH and KNOWLEDGE of natural hair more than anything! If you know your porosity, hair density, and strand fineness, and curl type. It can save you so much money and time in the long run! Knowledge is power ladies and gents listen to him! My hair is low porosity, I have high density hair, fine strands, and a 4a/4b curl pattern. I know some people when they style their hair and say it's very dry will use an OIL first instead of water or a leave in. That actually will not allow moisture to penetrate your stands. Oil is hydrophobic (repels water) so it will naturally make a protective barrier around your strands. Use an oil near the end of your hair care routine. The LCO method works best for low porosity hair. Congrats on almost 80K Sheldon keep it up brotha!

There this thing called scab hair. It basically where ur hair grows out damage from to much perm you use to do to ur hair or heat. It where ur hair is so so hair to keep in moisture due to moisture damage. It looks frizzy but it may have one or two curls. How I help fix some of this is ion shampoo 🧴 , healing clay and just cutting it all off. Or u can also let it keep growing until the problem is solved and cut all the scab hair off. Use oils to help heal ur scalp

I really relate to this. My hair is mostly 3c/4a and low porosity but really I have some 3b and 4b mixed in there as well. My only advice would be to treat the sections a bit differently if you know which curl pattern is where. For example the middle of my scalp is the tightest so I tend to loosely braid that section for more definition and a looser curl wheras the bottom of my scalp has the looser curls so I twist it and then twist it up into a makeshift bantu knot to make the curls tighter down there. I dont always do this cuz Im mostly fine with my curly afro mullet but some days I know I want a more uniform look so I do this the night before. Also experiment with different products if you'd like to. I hope this helps!

You have to train your hair, keep up with it. Depending on your genetics your hair might not just curl up soon as you put leave in conditioner. My hair was curly but very frizzy. One things that helped a lot was to try different things and get to know your hair. Your hair acts different during different seasons, sometimes you pair products together and your hair doesn’t likes it. I noticed that my hair stays more moisturize when I stop using oil as a solo product, I started using water then products that contains oil.

Ive tried protein treatments, I condition every day cause if I go longer than 3 days my scalp becomes extremely dry. Ive had someone wash my hair before and afterwards it was thicker and continued to be for a few days. I just want my hair and curls popping again but my hair just stays frizzy and only will curl at the front and back of my head not in the middle. Could you please help?

Mine hair when it's wet it's really really curly and stuff but when it drys it gets way to frizzy.. I've tried putting cream (moisturizer) in mine hair but it last for just 1 hour or so till it gets frizzy and kinda hard???
