bruh I haven’t cut my hair in 2 1/2 years and I thought it reached a point and stopped growing but I guess I was picking it wrong. every time my barber picks it it be reaching heaven and I could never do the same, but this def helps 👍🏾
Watched this video and Tried this only to realize I’ve been unintentionally doing this for the like the past 2 or 3 months since my hair grew out more since my last trim. The significance I can tell is it causes less breakage, you pull out way less hairs in your pick after your done, you don’t cause irritation to your hair roots when you’re done . If you’re hair is wet it can take 2-7 minutes. if it’s dry it can take 10-14 minutes. The length of time it takes also depends on how pat down your fro is and how long it’s been since you combed through it and the manner of how you sleep on it
Can u help me out bc it took me a full 8 hours doing this method and my hair is still tangled. I also was constantly wetting my hair and it wasn't helping. (I have thick 4c hair btw)
@@dondongaming9424 I use a small amount of detangling conditioner or hair lotion after wetting my hair . I massage it into my hair for atleast 1-2 minutes . I get a wide tooth comb and comb it out in sections (it’s important to make sure each section is properly combed through before moving onto the next) then sometimes I rub some oil into my hair before I slowly pick out the ends in sections followed picking from the roots like the guy does in this video. Takes me over 45 minutes . Would be faster if I was better at combing out and picking the back of my head.
I've been trying to grow out my afro really big for a long time but I've been finding lately I've been stuck at the same length for a few months, thanks for this I didn't realise how badly I was treating my hair
This was actually an informative video. With things that actually makes sense. I use to start from my roots, now I start at the top of my hair until I can comb my roots.
I used to run my hair right through for 1 year. My hair size decreased. I woke up one day and decided no more. I don't even detangle. I just put oil, leave in conditioner and lift up to where my hair wants tl be lifted to. Then I allow it to settle down and it regains a uniform afro shape. I don't even remove knot, I let them be unless they start to hang out, then I remove them carefully. I went from a sinkful of shed hair to minimal shedding.
Beautiful.... I changed the speed at which I pick , naturally cause it felt like like my hair wasn't vibing to that ... i pick my hair one in about 2-3 weeks and I take my time .... God Bless you All
I got blessed by my parents' genes for hair growth, so as much ripping i used to do, it still grew pretty solidly (but even then, it stopped growing as much at a certain point). That said, this video is right about the "quick" method. I knew it was a problem when I saw how much hair would come out of my pick. My hair is thick and would sometimes snatch a tooth out. I switched to combing (like she described, ends to roots) and doing braids or twists. My hair is a lot healthier doing that.
I'm literally on my own in life with no guidance whatsoever on my hair and i felt i am definitely doing something wrong. Thank you for this video it means alot to me!
