- The OnePlus 7 Pro has grown on me. It's one of the fastest (if not fastest) devices I've ever used. The combination of top end hardware and OnePlus software optimization creates an almost instant smartphone experience. OnePlus has gone upmarket with their pricing strategy but in the case of the OnePlus 7 Pro it's probably justified. It's unfortunate OnePlus didn't keep a more value oriented product for the North American market.

Nevermind I picked one up too cause my iPhone 7 plus was drying and I can trade up that to my one plus plus I got 130usd discount, ended spending the less than buying redmi lol , its really lighting fast, I have made my move after I found that even the note 10 is no match won't the op7 pro lol

I just switched from an iPhone 8 Plus to the OnePlus 7 Pro on Monday (2 days ago). I'm absolutely in love with this device. It's snappy, it's smooth and just amazing. I'm glad I switched back to Android from iOS.

Definitely agree. Went from S8 to OP7 Pro when I went into a T-Mobile store to get either the S10+ or S10. Just the freaking speed and display blew my mind and I was like "this is my phone". It's so much better than any other phone I've used.

@Julien Lindauer no it's not. If I'm under 20% and I plug the charger in my 7 pro the charging speed goes over 5000mAh around 5300mAh is the max I saw. In 20 minutes I'm at around 40-50% which gets me through an entire day of my usage.
Fun fact: transition animations back in the iPhone 2G era were to create an illusion of snappyness. They masked the brief loading times between screens.

@@MrDmanfox most of the time, from my experience, Samsung users think that Samsung is perfect and their products are incomparable... I used the s10 and liked it! The holepunch/notch isn't for me so I went with the 7pro. I wanted a silky smooth uninterrupted experience which no phone other than the 7pro offers currently (in America)

Don't you STILL have to plug in a wireless charger in order to charge the phone, so why not just plug in the quick charge to get your phone battery up faster than to sit there and wait longer for the wireless charger...🤔

Wireless charging is the Future believe or not just like everyone thought the head phone Jack was going last forever. The same thing with wirer charging, it will still be around but wireless charging is what all company's are heading for and it will get faster and better. Hard copys are going bye bye because everything is going digital. It's not about looking cool it's all about change that's the end game.

I had a 3T too! My screen broke and battery went to shit (both were my fault). 3T is one of the best phones ever made!!

I was in the same boat til last week. My 3T went in the drink and died. I'm super happy with the 7 pro though. IDK if I'd upgrade if I didn't have to but I'm stoked on the new new. The 90hz hype is real, super smooth. The camera is a very nice upgrade. And the no notch, no punch is superb. The battery life is also much better than the 3T.
I had the 1, then the 3T, then this and I have to say I'm really pleased with the build quality of OnePlus and the constant software updates (even on 4yo phones).

I have the 3t and honestly I love this phone. And they gave us pie and it feels very smooth. So I will probably leave once my 3t gives up on me lol. Maybe I'll wait until 5g is big in the states.
I got my One plus 7 pro 8G almond in January from Netonnet 750 $ with the bullet earphones included with the deal! So now after a half a year it's still amazing, and there's so many features to enjoy and discover! And it's a beautiful phone. When I lay on my bed I take the cover off the phone and just enjoy the beautiful phone. Thou It is not easy to use without the cover, you have to handle it with silkgloves. I dreamed about the phone for a half a year before I had the chance to buy it! It's special! It have not let me down in any way! Still experiencing the wonders of the phone!

I just moved from mexico to US... my mom was born in san antonio but moved to mexico thats why i have dual citizenship.....havent lived in US for the past 3 years... so i did not know how my credit was... went to T mobil and run my credit and got approved.. turns out i pay $ 70 bucks a month unlimited data and only 15 bucks for the One Plus 7 Pro, ... I mean WTF .... in mexico this phone is like triple the price and no way you will get it for 15 bucks a month.... I have a job a warehouse job and make 14 bucks an hour as a forklift driver ... I know that for many its no alot of money but everything is cheaper in america and you make way money... in mexico you cannot make even close of the money even thou I just started ..... Is so easy for americans but in mexico is so difficult and I never struggle for money but my maid and people that sell tacos in the street, people that work in general are super poor and they work harder than all me and my coworkers

Yep I'm in love with this device, I have the black 8/256Go version with forced 90Hz for all apps (via ADB command), it's butter smooth, fast, have +7hrs SOT... My first O+, 0 regret.

I cracked my OP5 screen at work today and immediately called my screen repair shop to have it fixed, even though I could easily grab the OP7P. 5 and 5T are still amazing devices and there are too many missing flagship features (wireless charging, headphone jack) for me to bite at that price point. I bought this phone on release week nearly two years ago lmao.

I disagree with the statement regarding how expensive OnePlus phones are.
The OnePlus One - $300
The OnePlus 5T - $500
The OnePlus 6T - $550
The current OnePlus 7 Pro - $670
Now, back when the OnePlus One came out for $300, other flagship phones, such as the Samsung and iPhone at the time were around $600 - $650. Currently, the OnePlus 7 Pro is still sitting at almost half the price of high end flagship phones, which are $1000-$1100 now. This seems fair to me. On top of that, you literally get a noticeably faster phone and Oxygen OS has been improving so much with each iteration. OnePlus is either on par with or above the best of the best phones out there right now, except it's around 40% less expensive, which is amazing.
btp589 I just bought the OnePlus 7 for $500. You forgot about that one. They got the best flagship, but also the best flagship killer. For me, the OnePlus 7 killed the Pro version and all other flagships.
I LOVE mine. The Almond was well worth waiting for. The phone is amazing. Best phone I've ever used and the speed is just insanity. It's so good you don't want to change a thing (except unlock and get root access 😉😎)

Øyvind Hus Lutro there’s a pretty good transparent case for the phone which comes in the box, I consider that to be enough protection for people who don’t drop their phones often.

I recently got the OnePlus 7 Pro and this screen is just absolutely amazing. The latest updates that also increases photo quality is just orgasmic! Really happy getting this phone. - Though my point of reference when talking about this phone is the Nexus 6P. Was an excellent camera back in its day too.

I bought OnePlus 7 Pro a week ago and I RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE!!! This is a killer, it's perfect!
I bought one on release... Allthough i am happy with my choice, and moving from apple to android. I gotta say, it isnt as good as people say. Sure, its alot faster than my Iphone 6. But it has the usual android problems. Sometimes, although rarely, the phone lags i tiny bit. That really annoys me. My old Iphone 6 didnt lag at all, and now, oneplus charges 900 USD for a fucking phone that cant consistently keep up with the high refreshrate of the screen. Pretty damn annoying. I might go back to Apple in the future.
And the camera... HOW CAN SOMETHING BE SO FUCKING SLOW???? My 2014 Iphone 6 snaps the picture instantly. But somehow OnePlus fucked this up, and it takes 100 miliseconds for the phone to actually take the picture.
Also, the pop up camera. Yeah, its cool. But holy shit its stupid. I dont get why the notch is a problem. NOONE USES THIER PHONE FOR MOVIES! Thats why the Ipad was invented.

I haven't heard anyone say anything about the phone lagging and the camera being as slow as a 5 year old phone. Either your unit is faulty or you're lying through your keyboard.
@@ETTMedia3700 I am 100 percent sure that it isnt faulty. My friend also saw the lag. And as i mentioned, it is only slightly and not a problem, but still enough to notice.
My observations show, that pretty much all android phones have slow cameras.
Watch Unbox theorys unboxing of the phone, you will se that there is a slight delay between the click on the button and the camera taking the photo.

I'm in the same boat as well! If the S10+ in the UK was the Snapdragon variant instead of the exynos, I would choose it, but because it's exynos, it's making it really difficult for me to decide.. the missing features on the 7 Pro are a bit of a let down, especially the headphone jack, and I'm unsure about how the two phones would fare in terms of battery life based on my usage.. it's been killing me and I just can't decide
I had an s10+, but switched to a 7 pro. I have no regrets. Beautiful device, fast and snappy. I live in the eu and recieved an s10+ with an exynos processor. Now I have a Snapdragon 855. It's fucking amazing.
A thing i can vouch for is the support. I still have a oneplus 3 and it is still decently fast and still getting android updates. That to me makes it worth spending that amount of cash on a phone. And i have never even done a clean reinstall of my android ever

I ordered Oneplus 7T pro after 5 years on samsung A70 something.. I am super excited for it, Bit worried about top pop up camera. My gf live in UK and I am in SA, We almost everyday video call on whatsapp.. Hope it not going break camera pop up if I use it alot.
A one plus 7 pro on 9.5.7 or later is for sure the best device for the money. I was close to sending it back until the 9.5.7 hit. The camera has been greatly improved. It hasn't slowed down. It's great! Very pleased.
My only regret about the OnePlus 7 Pro is not waiting for Almond :(

The speed test where OnePlus won against s10 + isn't necessarily the optimization of the OS but more so of OnePlus using UFS 3.0 storage vs Samsung UFS 2.1 storage. UFS 3.0 can be up to 70% faster.
Austin Knops ikr people think speed means loading apps but that’s more of a storage thing like a computer with an i3-8100 with an ssd will load apps faster than a computer with an i7 8700 with a hdd

First of all awesome job out there, i have been your follower for a very long time, I for the first time in my life bought a samsung S9 plus when it launched and quickly fell in love with it, the greatest flaw for me was as i suffer from occular migraine which means i can't and would not till date use it without maxed out blue light filter, i never had this issue with the phones i had before eg Sony Xperia xz premium, LG G4 and most of the HTC early models, it's time for me to change my phone and this issue keeps on haunting me as it changes my experience of the device, is there someone out there with the same issue that could help me, ps my wife has a Samsung S10 and she gets teary eyes if she doesn't have it on the blue light filter..
