These guys didn't record a bad song. All of The Chilites songs were my favorites. Eugene Record was a triple threat, lead singer, songwriter for many and a guitarist. May he forever Rip. 🎤🎶🎶🎶❤️🙏
The Defonics, the Chi Lites, Main Ingredient and other bands that weren't as known as say the Jackson 5 or the Four Tops were just unbelievably great! Beautiful songs and talent.

Remembering sitting on the porch of my Grandma's house in the south on that old porch swing just watching the world go by....listening to the radio...📣
A beautiful, beautiful song... I remember hearing this for the first time when I was about 10 years old... thank goodness we have UA-cam and the generosity of thousands of music lovers to remember these cherished artists and their incredible melodies.
Not only was Chi-Lites lead singer Eugene Record an outstanding vocalist, but (unlike most vocal groups) he wrote and produced their hits, including this 1972 US Billboard #1 single. As well as "Have You Seen Her" and "Stoned Out of My Mind." And he really had a knack for writing and producing exquisite tearjerkers ("The Coldest Days Of My Life," "A Letter To Myself"). Few people know his name but he was an extraordinary talent (he died in 2005). I always knew "Oh Girl" would stand the test of time. It's an absolute classic. (Also, The Chi-Lites are from Chicago, they are not a Motown group)
My man singing lead has a hell of a voice. The way he calls out with pain really brings the songs meaning to life. Absolutely amazing job my brotha. Thank you for that👍👍👍
