So the movement is held in by pins(I think you said rivets) all the way around, and it’s not able to be taken apart to inspect every single part? When I took off the back of the case I thought it looked different from the other couple watch movements I have, like it doesn’t have but one screw to take off the crown. Plus it has that plate on top that looks like it’s pinned in(which is what I believe you said) but since I hadn’t taken the dial off I thought maybe it could all be taken apart from the other side(side of the dial).
Yes, you are right, you can't take these movement completely apart...BUT, since it's riveted together in a single layer, you can clean the whole thing (I just put it right in my watch part cleaner), and then you can lubricate every point because no pivots are concealed, they are all accessible. Dial will have to come off, and a bunch of the calendar works will be able to be removed (which is what I do in the video). Hope that helps!
