Dave, awesome vid champion. Love the stoke on those Barra. There’s just something about wild Barra. I’ve fished the Mackay region for 30+ yrs, caught countless Barra and I too still squeal and dance around like a clown with every fish. Great to see and great for the kids to see. It should be fun. Thought i would get a bigger bite than that. Good spot the v but i believe there is talk of closing the track to east point so may be only accessable by boat before long. Or a long walk.🤬
Leon Pungitore I fished from the entrance up towards the weir.It gets rocky towards the weir top of the tide at the top and bottom of the tide at entrance I found more productive 🤙

Leon Pungitore go to Marian weir with some chicken heart or go early in the morning and flick soft plastics like frogs and z-man and small poppers hope this helps you find fish

Im not from Mackay but managed a few fish in the Pioneer River for salt and Cattle Creek for Fresh just walking the banks
