This built isn't much different from the one I have. So a quick review;
12450hx with rtx 4050 for 68k was a game changer in March 2024 just when launched. I might be the one of the firsts to order custom built of this laptop. Nevertheless what have I experienced.
Cpu is a big pain in the ass, within two months of use it has showed me signs of thermal throttling and overheating to a point that I had to undervolt from 1.2-1.4v to 1.070v @220A limiting the power draw to 55W with boost till 65w. So much of researching and time spent in that process.
Plus the change of charger to 230w due to battery drop issues had sort of added to the bad thermals. Being a 16A charger, had to be undervolted
Thermals were nice and pretty in the beginning and every mode used to stay with temp levels. But after a while it just feels that there isn't much head room available
Keyboard speakers and track pad are just average. Fun fact I didn't use any extra keyboards to see how will it hold, and there you my I button stops working sometimes and the palm rest area has a color fade. 12th March I have received it, I mean cmon I work and barely get 2-3hrs to spend on it.
Screen and gpu are satisfactory.have run Furmark stress test repeatedly with no issues or frame drops however in some games, slow frame times did happen.
For anyone going for gaming on these laptops I would say, it is not a lottery to get, discounts and cheap prices hav their cons. But what can you do, get a keyboard, cooling system ( a lapped with proper fan placement, dust filter paper, don't use cords or bars , plug in the socket directly. And don't toggle through game modes while gaming.
I wouldn't buy any Intel laptop that doesn't support undervolting. You don't have to wait 2 months to see signs of thermal throttling, because all these Intel laptops thermal throttle almost immediately out of the box.
It's thermal design is just standard thermal design you find in most gaming laptops.
I undervolted this laptop on first day. At 45W with -115mV undervolt, it gets 95% of the performance at 75W in CPU tests.
My gaming benchmarks are done and at 72k this is one of the best gaming laptop deals (along with the Ryzen 7840HS model at 80k or so).
Yesterday I have ordered the same custom build as your, with 24GB RAM, 1 TB SSD, RTX4050 and 2 years damage protection. Got it all for 67k. Please let me know if it is worth it?

12gb varient comes with single slot or doublke slot?
It will come with 1 stick of 12GB DDR5 ram. 24GB DDR5 comes with 2x12 sticks.
I am not aware of any 6GB DDR5 sticks, so it's highly unlikely that there will be 2x6GB DDR5 in the LOQ 12GB model.

@@valueart7698 I think he did it to save money for now and he will upgrade it on his own to 2×16 GB Ram sticks and for the time being he won't have much problems with performance as ddr5 runs at dual channel itself in a single stick so the ram speed will be full at 4800mhz

But cpu overclocking feature isn't available in my lenovo vantage ...could it a software issue or hardware issue ?...And also i do not have premium care but i do have ADP and base warranty for 1 yr ... I am using this laptop for past 2 month ..Should i ask for charger replacement as 170W isn't enough .... would it be covered in base warranty ?
You have to enable it through BIOS. Legion optimization -> enable. Undervolting protection -> disable.
You can replace charger, but not sure it's covered under what warranty. You can call Lenovo support to clarify.

Only have the H version of this laptop. Hx version not available in our country but I wish I had bought that one. Overall the laptop is good. No noted bottlenecks so far. CPU and GPU are being utilized properly. I get good fps in games. Cyberpunk with dlss and frame gen gets me 60-90fps, horizon zero dawn 60-100 fps with dlss, tomb raider 60-100 fps. Only one I had problem was Elden ring because that game is so badly optimized that it's not using the cpu and gpu. I had to deactivate the ecores of the cpu just to get good fps.

Earlier Intel allowed H series to be undervolted. Trust me your 12450H can be even better if it could be undervolted. The only difference between 12450H and 12450HX is undervolting.

It may affect the battery health in the long run. I am not sure, but it may. I have no evidence for this. Basically it uses additional battery power to reach the power targets.

Undervolting and cpu overclock.is only available for hx CPU right! I bought a 2023 model with core i,5 12450 h , RTX 4060 , as the older one has better thermals in my opinion

Yea it would've nice but we need to come to reality. AMD is no longer an underdog and they ask premium money for their Zen 4 parts. Take a look around 7840HS machines are either rare or very expensive.
I didn't want to spend too much, the goal was to get a 4060 at as low of a cost as possible and a CPU that was either efficient or can be undervolted. AMD wasn't an option for cost while 12450HX can be undervolted. So the choice it was.

Umm have to check, it's windows 11 which uses a lot of ram. Expect nearly 4.5GB to 5.5GB usage on idle.

I am not very susceptible to ghosting. Most likely it has around 6-7ms response time which is good enough for 144hz panel.
