This period in British (Manchester) music history is staggering. The mid 80s to mid 90s decade was off the charts: Happy Mondays, Inspiral Carpets, Northside, Stone Roses, New Order, Charlatans, Morrissey, the Fall, James, and of course Oasis.

Noel Gallagher (guitar/ vocals) of Oasis is a huge Beatles fan, and "I am the Walrus" is a fave of his... a song w/ random nonsense lyrics written by John Lennon. In 1993, he just came up w/ the riff to 'Supersonic' and then wrote a bunch of random nonsense lyrics to it cos he was "feeling supersonic"... "give me gin & tonic"... etc. etc. And it became a huge single in the UK in 1994... With Oasis singles on the UK charts, their debut album 'Definitely maybe' became the fastest-selling debut album in the UK (since The Beatles).
As a child Liam Gallagher played the recorder, guitar and violin. He says his favourite “heartbreak song” is Lou Reed’s ‘Perfect Day’. Asked about the top ten things he hated he said: “Man United. I hate Man United 10 times.” He’s said that the reason he sings with his arms behind his back is because it allows him to project more power through his voice. The first Liam track Oasis recorded was ‘Little James’ which appeared on ‘Standing On The Shoulders Of Giants’. Mark Coyle who produced the majority of ‘Definitely Maybe’ played 12 string guitar on the song.
@@carlmarks8170 I thought Liam said he got into music at 16... Noel said he never showed any musical interest when they were kids, and he was shocked when he heard that Liam had his own band (Oasis) at age 18... He did say in interviews that he felt natural on the mic w/ that stance cos his voice came out stronger, but it took a while to figure that out.

When they were on "Top of The Pops" to perform " Roll with it ". The show had them miming over a prerecorded track. So when they came on stage, Noel stepped up to the mic and Liam picked up the guitar!

I had no use for anything after their first album, but they had a recorded concert called Live By The Sea from their first tour, and the whole thing was a killer from start to finish. I watched it all the time back in the day. The guitars were huge.

More Oasis please 😙
I see you rocking out Lex! This is a tune.
I had no use for anything after their first album, but they had a recorded concert called Live By The Sea from their first tour, and the whole thing was a killer from start to finish. I watched it all the time back in the day. The guitars were huge.
Fuzz Rock Glory!!!!
Get your mind right and take the trip listening to this masterpiece
This is he first reaction I've seen, but I can't be the first to mention Synaesthesia? It a sounds like black olives - pure overlap. I almost wish I had it!
Oasis from around this time live at knebworth album is top class
I'm ADDICTED to this fucking song! 💯😎
The guitar solo Sick!
Please do more oasis songs. They are awesome!
Lex gets it. You either get it or you don't.
Luv me some Oasis. Def have a Beatlesque vibe. Part of the attraction I think.
Owen Jones who mix down the first album came up with the wall of sound method, this made Oasis sound loads louder on juke boxes then everyone else's music.
Oasis back in 94 were untouchable. Definitely Mabey is a British Rock n Roll Classic. Not s single song on there that's week. All killer no filler. Lex you know good Rock n Roll when you here it girl.
Cigarettes and alcohol by Oasis is worth a listen
Oasis - I hope, I think, I know.
is one of there best! Please react to that song please 🙏😁
Went out with a girl who loved using Alka Seltzer, good memories.
Good old brit rock from the 90s
great song, off one of the greatest albums of all-time ....Fact
First time I've subscribed to a reaction channel but I like the chemistry and honesty you both have. Anyway, Oasis in their heyday... seems like half the world away to me now...
I love the black olives analogy.
Great to see you doing another oasis reaction as always you both are smashing it 👊🏻 ,With oasis many if not Most of their best songs were b sides or album filler tracks over the singles they released (in my opinion anyway) So I think you definitely want to check out ..CASY NO SHADOW( Live at Maine road)ua-cam.com/video/p28UH0fY-7Y/v-deo.html or lyric video ua-cam.com/video/KIl5U4Lb0Ag/v-deo.html
SLIDE AWAY -ua-cam.com/video/3GCSUSwcDwg/v-deo.html
SOO MANY TO CHOOSE FROM BUT THAT'LL DO FOR NOW LOL
Also check out Stone Roses (and HAPPY MONDAYS )to see where the roots of oasis come from and where they their "MADCHESTER ATTITUDES " from , Stone Roses started it and oasis elevated it 👌🏻 🔥 🔥
