- We walk 10km bare foot to the most beautiful island lake we have ever been to. Emerging at a part of Lake McKenzie often unvisited by the usual 4x4 travellers. We return from the silica white sands and aqua blue water to experience natures light show. A shocking reminder of Skateaways origins.

I only just stumbled onto your channel . AWESOME , What you showed on Frazier was Beautifull . That lake never gets tire ring , the crystal clear water is stunning . Question is why are there no fish , I have heard that there is no oxygen ?? Your film of that thunder storm was epic . It was the best I have seen , most people put away the camera and hide . You took us up that creek with the reeds etc , that is something nobody else seems to do , so many thanks for that . I have just subscribed and I look forward to following your adventures . I hope , fresh eyes .

Yes such an amazing beautiful place 😍 was so nice to walk there and have our own private section ! We meet some other hikers who were spending a little under a week hiking and camping at Fraser's different lakes, would love to do sometime ! So rare to find these on islands on this coast !
Lake McKenzie does actually have fish in its waters, such as Honey Blue-eye, Gobio Gobio, Ornate Rainbowfish, and Nannoperca Oxleyana.

Floating down the freshwater creeks was so much fun !
