Outstanding comparison! If you were filming yourself would you go Sony because of the superior autofocus? LOL, I typed this right before you answered why you would choose the Sony for video.
I’m worried about Sony’s build though. I have the RX100 III and the lens doesn’t open all the way. Scuffs abound too despite being babied in a body suit. Visited Sony Center to try the 7CII and it, like many other silver models there, have very worn out buttons.
@@radinsyah1574 I totally understand your concern. I'm not sure how roughly the A7CII models you tested were used before, but I haven't had any wear and tear issues with mine. I think with heavy use over time the buttons will show signs of wear for sure, but so far so good and I've had mine for a little under a year. Generally, I think black versions of these cameras will probably show less wear.
Loved the review!! As I was already neck deep into the gmaster ecosystem i went w the a7cii, but no regrets! Great stills, great video, especially w the 35mm gm/85mm gmii combos😊 looking forward to the next video :)
@@Ovsani lt really depends on the primary purpose of use, everyone has different wants and needs. A true professional never blames their tools and should have a complete understanding of the foundations thus should be capable of bringing the best out of what ever camera system they have. Also one of these cameras is a more film based centric than photography. Truth has it regardless of what camera you have the end result hasn't really changed a great deal over the years. Cameras these day only have more features to help you achieve the end result easier. You can print the same image from both of these cameras and many more too if you like and you'd struggle to tell them apart. I prefer to spend the 20 minutes to watch a humble and unbiased review as when you shut down and refuse because you think you know better than anyone else you then inhibit your capacity to learn.
@@Ovsani Equipment does not define the terms: amateur, advanced amateur, or professional. Imagine that 10 years ago, many professionals worked with gear that was worse than the Fuji and Sony presented here. You won't be able to tell from the photos which camera they were taken with, especially after resizing them.
@ I’ve tried all the systems. Sony is simply the best. They won the game. Yes you can argue skin tones look better on canon, but that can be corrected. If you’re simply documenting your life and doing photos for yourself, then fujifilm is perfect and pretty fun too. I have an X100V and it’s incredible. But for portraits, videos, and professional work it’s not good. Maybe their medium format cameras that cost 5-10k are great. But for everything else Sony is king. Autofocus is very important for professionals and so is versatility when it comes to lenses. The amount of different lenses you have for Sony is simply mind blowing. Sony is simply the best. Hate it or love it but they started the mirrorless trend and have taken huge market share from canon, Nikon, Fuji, lumix, etc.
Have both. Both are great for different purposes)
Thank you, great comparison!
Thank you! I hope the comparison was helpful.
Thanks Bray. Top review as usual

Thanks Barry! Yes, I would definitely go with the Sony for filming yourself. The autofocus is so good, you really don't have to think about it
Yo brotha man, did you get the XM5? Looking forward to your review
@@tahjaespencer3463 I appreciate that 🙏🏿 I don't have it yet, but it should be coming in the next few days

Save yourself the 20 minutes. Sony is better.
Maybe. It depends on who it's for and how they want to use it.
@ I have both systems. Fujitilm is great for fun personal use. Sony is for profession use.
