- How to tie the Foam Bodied White Fly, a simple step by step fly tying video tutorial for everyone, including fly tying for beginners with sheet foam, a great fly tying material. Fly fishing for smallmouths during the white fly hatch is a lot of fun. These flies have worked for me for this type of fly fishing, but will accommodate most people’s fly tying skills.
This fly tying video instruction features a simple materials and has a full list in the beginning of the video. Simple stuff for a very effective pattern. If you watch the video to the end, you will be able to tie this very productive fly, and even beginners will be able to do so.

@@robstreeteroutdoors8912 There are many occasions where we use the white foam bodied fly tied on a size 6 as an indicator. It doesn't seem to spook the fish and we often catch fish on the way oversized indicator fly.
