@@sandybottomhomestead oops, sorry! meant to say Pansies....they grow like weeds. I've tried starting petunias inside with zero luck. But snapdragon and violas are also easy to sprinkle in the summer from saved seeds.
Thanks for the video! Glad to know it can work in water. I got these awesome black, and then white with black, petunias at my local nursery this year. Never really grew flowers before and I haven't even planted these outside yet. But they've been doing great under the grow lights at least! Very unproblematic plants lol I laughed when I saw on the tag for both of them saying propagation is not allowed >> yeah anyways I think it's great they self seed. I planted some from the black plant and they finally sprouted! They do take a long time I thought maybe they were all duds. 3 weeks or more to sprout
Thank you! I needed a refresher on growing these cuttings IN WATER + your video actually is about Water rooting, whereas others SAY water but stick cuttings into Soil! What's up with that? Well done, friendly and down to earth. Recommending to other Petunia lovers.
Sandy Bottom Homestead I had it on my covered patio away from any direct sunlight. I will rewatch your video and make sure I haven't missed anything. This time I will try rooting hormone.
UPDATE: I tried it with rooting hormone and it worked!!!!! Don't give up. We all have that inner greenthumb. Thanks!!!! Wanted to update not to discourage any of your viewers. I should of tried the rooting hormone before commenting. Thanks for the awesome videos and keep up the good work. ❤️🪴
Great idea for free plants! I save petunia seeds in the fall, and broadcast everywhere in the garden in the spring .
Do they grow back well? I was reading that starting them from seed can be difficult.

I am just about to sprinkler some snap dragons soon. I haven't had much luck so far though

It also works with the mini petunias called callibrachoa!
Wow thanks, these are going to look so pretty. I think we should start growing more flowers in our garden!
I really uped my flower gamer this year and I am happy I did!
How fun! I might be trying this soon

That was years ago. They did grow well though
Let us know what you try this with!

Does it really work?

@@elizabethgoodson9802 did you put them in water or soil? Where did you place it? Can I plant it out in 30 days?
How? Do you just mix the rooting hormone in the water?
