@@duckypiee Honestly its great. a lot of game designers don't understand how important sound design and the soundtrack is. It's honestly just as important if not more important than the visuals in my opinion.

I find it the same way, but there’s something really off putting about this song, makes me think this song was the beginning of the more interesting parts of the game

honestly the music feels calm but kinda trippy, like you're in a light trance and you don't know where you are, but you keep slowly making progress, like you're safe but progressing, learning and failing, you're missing a jump on that one level or you're not figuring out the puzzle, then you kinda have an a-ha moment and the music picks up, then once it ends you're kinda like "I did that, now what?" and it restarts and you continue on.
Tbh the game with the combination of the music and the emptiness and lack of any other human life the world messed with my head to were i could only play 3 hours at a time and then i had to take a 1 day mental break

Whenever this would play, it was always a really fun time to get climbing when the game offered it as this tune starts.
I have such a vivid memory in Sophomore year of high school, where one day in Advisory some of the girls on my class ended up getting in a very heated debate about politics, race, gender, etc. I was just trying to relax, so i just put in my earbuds and played this on loop. Oddly fitting for this song to be playing when eveyone around you is arguing, but you are unable to hear them.
Went to the youtube video to listen to this again and thought of this, and here is me 10 months ago commenting lmao. I 100% agree past me, it is so weird it is not like necessarly poetic or special, but the feeling on having something so relaxing, and honestly slightly saddening due to the circumstances of the song and the memories associated (I refuse to use the word "nostalgia" because it has only been like 3 years since 10th grade lmao) playing in your ear while other around you are arguing is kind of beatiful. I vivdly remember just doing homework, while not being able to hear at all what they were saying, but I could see them.
