Miles' conversation with Peter hurts a lot more once you realize that Miles was literally willing to go to one of the best universities in the country (Princeton) and learn how to travel dimensions just for the sole purpose of seeing his friends again.
That's how lonely he felt, and how bad he missed them.
He was also willing to sacrifice pursing his true passion, which is him being an amazing artist, to do so.

The only reason he wanted to go to Princeton is because of hoping to find a way to see Gwen, Peter, Noir, Ham and Penny.

A subtle detail I love is how Peter B. doesn't do anything once miles webs hit. You can clearly see his arms are free and he could of delayed him but chose not too. It shows he really was just trying to talk to him and when he realized he messed up, he let him go.
Yeah I'd say in BTSV, miles will forgive Peter first since he was the only one trying to reason with him unlike every one else.

@@jackneal8660 Miles seemed ready to hear Peter out before the watch activated too. I doubt he would have been convinced to let his dad die either way, but he at least looked like he was willing to listen and not completely shut Peter down.
@@_kaleidoI think Peter understands the importance of at least *trying* to save someone rather than prevent the attempt entirely. even if he fails at least he made the effort. doing nothing is the same as abandoning that responsibility.
Not to mention the fact that he almost made Miles smile too, despite the situation that he's currently in. If you look @2:44-2:50 you can see Miles' face make a slight grin when Peter starts cracking up, but then it quickly disappears once the watch goes off.
It honestly almost seemed liked a dream. It started off terribly with Miles trying to get away, but then he, Peter, and Mayday share a wholesome moment. Then the watch goes off, ending the dream and waking both Miles and Peter up, returning them to the cold reality they're in at the moment.

2:54 I hope next movie will address this scene. We know that Peter didn’t intend to betray him, but Miles doesn’t know that. The next time he sees Peter and Gwen, I hope he shows some distrust and caution to them instead of the whole “forgive and forget” route. They both broke his trust and sided against him to let his own dad die. It would make Miles a more realistic relatable character to not forgive that so easy

@@darkyozora1222 He continues to call miles spiderman upon his power up, if he discovered his identity I'd imagine a much bigger deal would've been made of it by both the Spot and Miles. Their vision also doesn't reveal miles' identity just a glimpse into the future. Also I don't believe he telepathically talks to miles in that scene he just speaks to him normally, although I could be wrong.
I noticed that Miles is intently watching the clock gears move when Peter was trying to talk to him because he knew he was going to escape either way. This was a way he could time his jump to fit through the holes perfectly in time! I love that detail so much!
There are quite a few instances that showcase his extraordinary intelligence. I'm really happy they but that in. This movie is deep on different levels. It's a masterpiece, in my opinion.

This scene really hits different. Miles felt alone and missed Peter, Gwen, and the other variants so much it made Miles want to study quantum physics just so he could reunite with his friends. Can't imagine how devastated and betrayed Miles feels after knowing that Peter and Gwen could've visited him the whole time. Miles probably feels more alone now more then ever after discovering the spider sociey he wanted to join, views him as an anomaly, mistake, purposely excluded him, and was going to allow his dad to die. I'm curious what Miles' attitude will be towards, Gwen, Peter B, and Penni upon the revelation of their betrayal
Well he's most likely going to be cold and probably lash out at them for everything they did. I really don't want miles to forgive them right away, I want him to say stuff like ' I wish I never met you' and this will cause them to feel heartbroken and devestsated due to their actions. All I know is that BTSV is going to be nuts.
I wouldn’t want miles to say that. I know they hurt them and yes I would be disappointed too but it’s not gonna get him anywhere if he says that because Gwen and Peter are gonna go rescue him and that’s how they owe him. If I had friends who pretended to love me so they can leave me with sadness then, I would definitely wish that I never met them. You never know who are your real friends are until they show you. Most friends have ups and down but they’ll find a way to make up.

What Makes This Scene Hurt More Is That For A Second , Miles Wanted To Smile And Be Happy Again And Just Hang Out With His Old Mentor , Until the Watch went off and ruined it just as quickly....the ONLY few seconds that he could have gotten to connect with Peter B. again on a deeper level than just the jokes and Miguel's Spider Crew Ruined It.

It’s easy to blame Gwen in this situation. Yet, what choice did she have? No one seems to acknowledge what she thought was waiting for her back home and it’s obvious that she feels complete guilt chasing Miles and there’s a couple frames where it shows her smiling as he gets away

I'm just getting tired of this whole "Gwen did nothing wrong" train. Yes, she's only human. Yes, she's barely more than a child. Yes, she was in a difficult situation for most of the movie. But saying that she had no choice in the matter is dangerous thinking because it takes away her responsibility from the consequences that HER actions caused.
At the end of the day, I'll say this: I do believe that Gwen made the choices that she believed were the best, but she was not FORCED into making any of those choices. When she found out that she'd have to betray Miles' trust to stay a member of the Spider Society, she still CHOSE to do so. Just because she had her reasons doesn't mean that she's not responsible for the consequences of her choices (especially when said choices blow up in her face)

Miles is an anomaly in more ways than one. For one, we see him show more physical ability than many other of the Spider-People AND less reserve or hesitation to USE that power/ability.
The next item being that he's quite literally a being of not just worlds, but two ENTIRELY different dimensions... Which, I'd hope and figure, THAT will be their explanation for why HE can make or cause changes without significant fallout and the others can't.
For the final item, we are shown - on repeated occasion - that Miles wants to be and is capable of standing apart and above the other Spider's. His character, figurative and literal, show that if anyone is capable and plausible for being a leader of all those people? It's him.
Since the spider didn’t come from his universe…and miles is an anomaly I don’t see why he doesn’t glitch…even in his own universe

Im kinda late but check out that super subtle spider pattern at 2:30 i only noticed now.
This kinda shows Peter B has son issues, even though Miles doesn't have dad issues. And despite being an anomaly, Miles was a positive influence on Peter B and Gwen's lives. Gwen finally could let go of her lost love Peter Parker, and find peace in his memory as well as in her blossoming love for Miles, and Peter B turned his whole life around, and rebuilt his relationship with MJ and had his daughter after his paternal instincts won over because of the affection he felt for Miles, his (kinda sorta adoptive) son-figure. I hve a feeling in Beyond, Miles would have this same positive effect on Miguel despite how violent he has been towards the kid out of his own trauma and guilt, and he will team up with Miles to stop Spot. Idk if Miguel will sacrifice himself as a form of atonement, doing that would be a cheap cop out for the writing room, so I hope to see him regain the trust he will slowly earn back by actively supporting Miles while simultaneously understanding how his rigid theories about the multiverse may not always work out in the practical sense

I almost feel sorry for Gwen at 0:43. Almost. I mean, I can really understand Miles and his love for Gwen and how betrayed she made him feel. You see I fell in love with a girl. She was sweet, innocent, kind and energetic. Everything I want in a girl. One day, I told her how I felt and, at first, she rejected me due to someone else. But turned out thay guy was a creep. After that, she told me that, when she's ready for a relationship, she chooses me. 1 day she comes back after 3 months of total silence and I've been waiting for her with high hopes only for her to be in a relationship with her childhood friend. That's, probably, the most insecure I've ever been in my life, cause it made me feel an unwanted, worthless last resort for if things don't go her way. We're not talking anymore, I think. For me, I knew it was going to be harder but that was so much harder than I thought. I mean, how am I supposed to love myself after waiting 3 months for a girl only for her to be off with her childhood friend, who made me think I didn't need to learn to love myself cause she made me feel completely comfortable with myself?

They shouldn’t have changed the dialogue
My one gripe with the heart to heart is that Peter B has been in the game for long enough, he should’ve known to remove his tracker before talking to Miles. It would’ve even pressed the importance that he was willing to have his presence destabilized just to talk to him. It’s the kind of move I expected from an experienced Spider-Man.
Granted, I get it, the chase needed to continue - but I’m sure it could’ve still moved forward in the same direction, like maybe have Miguel or Lyla put it together that he was in that region of the city.
But here’s the problem. If Peter B. removed his watch, he would have glitches and would have a hard time talking with Miles, but at the same time, Miles is more concerned about the chase and maybe he knew how much Peter cared despite how hard it is to have Miguel as a leader.
I genuinely think he didn't expect the watch to track his location without his concsent. Peter B. is an outlier among Spider-men in that he is not a tech genius.
Sad truth, Peter B Parker canon story isn’t to get back with Mary Jane… either killed by one of the Villains or end his own life, possibly by heart attack.
He was meant to be the Spiderman who fails.

When Miles was falling through these things it reminded me of levels with 2099 in Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions game
It's kinda bothering that we won't get to see the same version of the movie we saw in theatre, and it's not just one or two changes there's a lot, znd the fact that we will probably not be able to see the details we saw in theatre edited back into the movie but just in bonuses is a pain in the ass...

I can relate to Miles
One thing that's overlooked in this scene is Peter himself before his conversation with Miles. The other Spiders act accordingly but Peter knows the regular approach, treating Miles as a fleeing enemy, will not let the other Spiders catch him. As he skydives past Gwen, you notice he makes a look of consideration. That's because he is focusing on the logical way of how to approach Miles, his patterns of movement, and where to cut him off. Miguel and the others are hunting, he's outsmarting Miles and had he been on Miguel's side more so, Miles' chase would have ended right there.
But that also leads to the scene after the chase seen at the end where Lyla gives away Peter's position. Miguel knows Peter would be the best tracker once the rest of the Spiders lost him. He has the experience and the tactical mind whereas Miguel focuses more on his brutality as a Spider. Miguel uses the watch to track Peter's location to find Miles as soon as he has a confirmation Peter isn't "pursuing" anymore. So, the scene utilizes not just how everyone's mindset works but how their tactics are in locating people which is normally not seen in Spider-Man media. You mainly just see the action, not the steps taken to do what Spider-Man does.

Also, Peter is a great mentor but an irresponsible father for bringing his baby daughter to a steel mill with a bunch of heavy equipment that can easily kill her.
Miguel said that if Miles hadn't been bitten then Peter A wouldn't have died and he would have stopped the collider before it went off and Peter B said Miles is the reason he has a child so I'm starting to think that if Miles isn't supposed too be spider man then Peter B isn't supposed too be a dad
So if you go to 2:03 and look at the wall on the left of the screen, the dark greenish wall where they entered the room. Now go to 2:22, that same wall you can see a figure reflected in the wall. they move back then come back into shot just before it cuts to a different angle. I would have thought it was one of the pistons in the other room but it's not there at the first timecode. Could it be a time travel thing for the next film? Anyone else saw that or know what it is?

You know what i just relized. So i dont k ow if this was intentional or not but when miles goes up the elevator he see the area. And when peter said the miles did not plane this out. Miles goes up the train so he can see the building.
