ive been messing around with l4d2 model modding for a few days but theres some vaguely more effecient ways you can select parts of the mesh to remove them for headhacks, like Alt + Select to get ring selections, and then deleting faces instead of vertices to avoid the head or whatever part of the model from getting fucked up by some random vertice. you can also use both auto-weight and manual weights in tandem by using auto weights to get the basic rigging done, and then go through and manually adjust and fix parts that might be messed up (as an example, a model of charles calvin i made had part of the headset rigged to the shoulder bones of the rescue pilot, so i remove the shoulder weights from his headset, adjusted the joints, and then the rigging was fine)
@@AlkeralexExists thank you for explaining this, im ngl ive been modeling for a few years and even I dont hear stuff like this since im still learning the ropes myself but great comment tho
I can do everthing until i have to Compile ERROR: c:\users\usuario\desktop ochelle mod\models\survivors\decompilado\survivor_producer.qc(7): - can't find eyeball texture "producer_eyeball_r" on model ERROR: Aborted Processing on 'survivors/survivor_producer.mdl' T.T

Unedited tutorials are better than edited ones. They show you in its purest form the hard work that modders do in detail.
I respect that.
is there a tutorial on how to not cry watching an entire hour of l4d2 model making
i always fail when compiling the qc, either the model broken in game or the game insta crash when i start a map
I can do everthing until i have to Compile
ERROR: c:\users\usuario\desktop
ochelle mod\models\survivors\decompilado\survivor_producer.qc(7): - can't find eyeball texture "producer_eyeball_r" on model
ERROR: Aborted Processing on 'survivors/survivor_producer.mdl'

I have tried to make some mods but i find it hard to find a tutorial, and some add-ons or tools are also hard to find which force me stop making😭😭😭
