It would be a low risk move with the possibility of a decent return for the Vikings IMHO. It makes logical sense to test the chemistry with him in the building along with the potential in receiving a comp pick for a minimal investment.
The passing defense is bottom 5. Part of that reason is the run defense is number 1. When pressure doesn’t get there, completions are easier due to CB play. That’s another piece of the poor passing defense. We need corners next year that can cover in man. That would make this defense significantly better. We need that to compete with the Lions. We’ve got cap space to fix that.
My biggest concern about possibly adding Daniel Jones is how would it affect locker room chemistry. This seems like a very close knit team, and I don't want that dynamic disturbed or uprooted.
I hope we don't sign Jones. It would be a waste. Mullins is more than capable. And how much of the offense would Jones be able to pick up at this point of the season? If he is okay bring a backup to JJ, I would be okay with that.
I believe the Vikings feel Sam’s ceiling is limited. KOC gets more out of him by limiting him. Sam is slow to read the field and ends up holding the ball too long often. He rarely gets to the 3 rd read. Hopefully JJ has a higher ceiling. So they’ll let Sam walk and take the compensation pick or at least offset for free agents they sign. If KOC thinks he can fix Jones, he’d make a good backup for JJ. Getting him in for the rest of the season to evaluate that possibility would make good sense for that reason. If Sam can keep up this run with KOCs help, I suspect he’ll gat 3 year deal worth $60 + Mill.
What are you talking about? The thing he loves the most about Sam is how aggressive he is. JJ McCarthy’s name shouldn’t even be in your figurative mouth this season. Take away the OPI and that’s a Justin Jefferson touchdown. Sam’s had nine of 11 games with 100+ passer rating. He has the fourth most touchdowns in the league. But he holds onto the ball too long!!!!!!
Daniel Jones is a QB that never should have been drafted as high as he was and has done very little with very little talent. Who are you They cutting? Mullens isn't going anywhere. Rypien is emergency 3rd. They are not carrying 4 QBs. Only way this happens is if Sam gets knocked out for the year.
I love your enthusiasm and good knowledge!!
Stop the lunacy! Let Sam have his year.

Yep. I think you're on it

I hope Sam gets that deal with someplace he can effective like the Rams.
The uncalled safety on Williams in the end zine for hold against Phillips.
I came here for a bears vikes breakdown not Daniel jones
Agree on you Daniel Jones synopsis
Not even Derrick Henry could score often in the deep red zone with our interior OL..!

I do think Sam needs to run more on 3rd down.
I wish they’d do more design runs for him.
Quarterback whisper might work if the Vikings sign him.👍
Why is this even a thing?
