    I’m kinda confused. So what’s the point of the Latm/molK. Is that just not necessary in our equation and we only use the 0.0821?

    • @melissamaribel
      @melissamaribel  3 роки тому +2

      The point is to always make sure the units match the gas constant. You still have to show the units Latm/molK, this helps you figure out if you did the problem correctly since the units will cancel out and give you the unit in which you are looking for. If the units don’t cancel then that’s your clue that something is off. It’s really a way to check yourself.

    To find the volume could you just multiply the moles you have with 22.41L/1 mol and wouldn’t that be the answer for volume?

    • @melissamaribel
      @melissamaribel  5 років тому

      If you were only given the moles then yes but if you are given the pressure, moles and temperature then you have to use the ideal gas law.

    where did u get 273 from???

    • @omarsheiikomar428
      @omarsheiikomar428 6 років тому

      1 Kelvin is equal to -273.15 degrees and formula for conversion from Degrees to Kelvin is (K= degrees + 273.15)

  • @Othmanj2004
    @Othmanj2004 4 роки тому

    when she was converting to the proper units how did she get 273

    • @melissamaribel

      To convert Celsius to Kelvin you have to add by 273. So if we had 0 degrees Celsius we would simply add 273 to convert to kelvin
