So by building against the rock face, he's created a base that can't be raided from that direction. The bunker functions because foundations do not transfer stability to floor tiles, so the bottom half wall is the only support for the triangle floor "sealing" the bunker. By leaving it twig and breaking it, the triangle seal also breaks. There's plenty of in-depth tutorials for these sorts of bunkers. How to read the terrain to find the right spot, how to build these even without the terrain, and so-on.

Every raid ended with they got to my sheetmetal bunker. Had they made it to the core they would have discovered it very empty as my best loot was stored in the HQ brainbox which was comprised of a sleeping bag, a small box, two drop boxes, 1 salvage shelves, and four large boxes full of my best loot. I’m planning to build another just like it this wipe.

This is the most beginner bunker u can do. Its a simple 1:2 wall bunker look it up. Its very easy to do.
