I started ballet at 23 (dropped it for work at 28) and I noticed most of my classmates would move on very fast. I think starting older, you will have to adjust less to body changes, and that's an advantage. My classmates started doing pointe after 2 years of classes three times a week.
@@kiratchkyou would have to watch ballet more to know, technique can be complicated. In ballet, there is proper feet positioning and hand placement for each movement. Theres a certain amount of tension etc, its why ballet is easy to learn and hard to master.
@@kiratchkSpeaking as a dance student of 11 years, there are plenty of things to keep in mind, what angle the feet are in, how the hands are positioned, whether or not the wrists begin to droop during movement, etc are important to keep in mind while dancing. The studio I went to has a poster hung up in the halls that says “if it were easy, it would be called football”, if that gives any indication about the level of control you should aim to have lol This whole tangent to say, there is a lot of effort put in to making your movements look effortless, strong, and graceful. And part of that is how you position your hands and feet.
I think it is amazing that you are taking ballet as an adult! There are so many things that would bring us joy that we don’t even try because we think we have missed the opportunity.
I took Tae Kwon Do as an adult. It was fun, and because they said we looked like teens they used me and my sister to motivate the middle schoolers to listen and do the drills because we were able to break 2 boards in one go on a belt test and they wanted to do it too. 😂. We stopped going because of work, but we plan to go back again.

I’m realizing how insane my sister is… she started watching ballet and got rly into it. She begged our parents to put her in ballet lessons and they did. She practiced everyday at home by watching dances and doing stretches. After six months, she was moved up to ballet two. For what I’m hearing about, that’s insane because it usually takes around like 2-3 years I’m hearing for her age to move up… idk much abt it tho. But she looks so graceful for six months… she’s insane. There’s no wobbling at all and she touches her feet to her head and omg…

You never know! Try a beginner adult ballet class (or modern, hip hop - whatever appeals) just for fun. Dancing improves posture and flexibility, which is a great feature.
It's not because they are talented. Well, not only because of that. But because of doing that for 12 years having started very early. Unlike the other girl who started later being already a grown up.
Its never too late to dance. I did ballet as a youngster pre primary to Gr 4. Life happened - marriage, kids, work. I retired and decided to go back to ballet.😮 It was fantastic. Obviously not as supple, but the muscle memory was still there. I eventually finally "retired" at 70. I loved my second stint at ballet as it was a passion, not an extra mural activity that made mummy happy.
the 12 years of practice really paid off she looked absolutely natural and elegant with those moves.And the 2 years just needs more practice but after all you guys moved perfectly and beautifully 💖

one thing i see all the time with people new to dance is neglecting their hands and arms. that control is SUUUUPER important. theres even specific finger placement in ballet. nailing that improves the overall look by like 10000%. looks waaay more polished
First of all I know MANY dancers who have trained for 12 years and look like Eva. Eva looks fantastic for 2 years. And a lot of it has to do with the obvious amazing training that she gets. Three cheers for proper training 🎉🎉🎉
I have done ballet for 4 years (8 years old till now 12 years old) and i am like the 2 years ballerina, i am not very flexible....the 12 years one is amazing!
