I see no one informed you that they recasted the Hulk. Actually recasting him to be played by Mark Ruffalo was one of the best Marvel Studios decisions.
100% agree - Ruffalo totally nailed the part and really became one of the best additions to the team.
This was the 2nd recasting that Marvel did. In the Iron Man movies Terrence Howard played Rhodie but then was replaced with Don Cheadle in the 2nd one which I also think was a great choice in the recasting decision because Don does add a bit more authority to the character then what was shown in the 1st movie.

Barton's first name is Clint and his hero name is Hawkeye just in case you didn't already know, and as a fact he is my favorite character in all of Marvel.

Tony's new arc reactor is a synthetic version of the element just without the magic so it protected him against Loki's mind control. Odin and Heimdall can send someone off Asgard using dark magic but it can only be a one-way trip that's why Thor needed the tesseract to go back.

You are some more fun facts. Loki was the first villain of The avengers and Hawkeye introduction to the comic books was also as a villain so him getting mind control by Loki to be his villain helper is almost comic book accurate. Despite the recap of Bruce banner the Hulk movie is still Cannon so change the threshold for his metamorphosis which will prevent him from turning into the Hulk if he get angry and the Bruce turning the Hulk unwillingly was because of the extra gamma radiation the Loki's scepter was giving off which caused all of the heroes to get more aggressive. It also effect Loki fuel in his rage for Odin and Thor which was Loki's Masters plan. The reason Loki you look so sick at the beginning of the movie he was beaten and tortured into submission. Loki mine was too strong for the scepter to control him but did infected with more rage.
This was without question the best theater experience I've ever taken part in. Saw it on opening day with a few college buddies. We (the entire theater) collectively lost our minds for the next 2.5 hours.
This is perfection! Please keep going in as blind as possible. Don't look too far ahead and avoid research to avoid spoilers. There are tons of surprises and fun coming up and the less you know the better.

Harry Dean Stanton asking Banner if he's an "alien" is a nod to the 1979 movie Alien where Stanton plays the first victim of the xenomorph.
The security guard who asked Banner if he was an alien was in the movie Alien.
Victor watched those but I haven’t. I’m going to have to check it out.
Harry Dean Stanton is also in "The Green Mile."

A lot of reactors miss a lot of stuff which can be frustrating but you guys take it all in and pay full attention, you’ll enjoy what’s to come even more.
This is the first of your reactions I've seen, but I think I'm going to go back and watch your earlier MCU reactions as well.

Tony Stark and Steve Rogers have a complicated relationship-mostly on Tony's side and mostly only told in subtext. His father, Howard, idolized Cpt. America when he knew him in WW2, and Tony could never quite measure up in his father's eyes. Steve was like the perfect (dead) older brother that Tony was always compared to...and Tony *really* resents him, for that reason. They'll play with this a little more in future movies, but they never really talk about it-it's always in the casual asides and throwaway lines.

I took a vacation day and went to a full day screening of Phase 1 with a midnight premier of Avengers. One of the best experiences in my life! There were goodie bags, a costume contest, the whole nine yards. We cheered for the Spider-man trailer and booed Batman. And when the big bad purple guy (you will get to know him) showed up at the end we lost it like the Beetles were playing.

Fun, non spoiler behind the scenes bit. The schwarma scene was filmed later than other things and captain america had his face hidden by his hands because Chris Evans was growing a beard to work in another movie.
This is the beginning of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. the TV show, you guys may want to watch it.
Season 1 ep16 takes place directly before Captain America the Winter Soldier and Season 2 ep19 leads directly into Age of Ultron
Sadly ,after that the series completely deviates from movies and became something on its own .
Get ready. Marvel is an emotional roller coaster

Great reaction, guys! If you think this Avengers movie is good, the next ones will blow your minds once you get around to them. You'll also be glad to hear that nobody else liked Cap's costume either so they made a lot of improvements to it in future movies. As for favourite characters, it's a tough choice but I'd have to say Captain America, closely followed by Black Widow and Thor.
"How did he [Thor] get here? I thought the Bridge was broken.."
At the risk of spoiling a plot point of the next film, the Rainbow Bridge is not the ONLY portal between worlds, just the only one that can be used to access ANY world.

For myself, this is EPIC. Because I grew up with these Marvel characters, through the comics books from the 1960s from my childhood.
tony stark is literally my #1 character ❤️ & the iron man & cap duo is adorable they literally argue like a married couple & then make up everytime 😂… also yall should react to agents of shield tv series

Fun Fact: Theatrical movie debut of Layla Cushman, Debbie Scaletta, and Maria Perossa.
What Script Fact: Robert Downey Jr. ad-libbed the "That man is playing Galaga!" line. A guy playing Galaga (1981) was then filmed.
Stan Lee Camero Fact: Stan "The Man" Lee made a cameo appearance at the end of the movie as a man that doesn't believe in superheroes in New York (City).
Historical Fact: Steve (Chris Evans) wears converse shoes. Founded in 1908, the company started making footwear for soldiers during World War II so it's one of the few things he still recognizes in the 21st century.
Becoming Hawkeye Fact: To prepare for the role of Agent Clint Barton/Hawkeye, Jeremy Renner was trained by Olympic archers. Director Joss Whedon later stated that he never gets tired of watching Hawkeye shoot arrows while looking the other way.
Movie Eats Fact: Robert Downey Jr. kept food hidden all over the lab set and apparently nobody could find where it was, so they just let him continue doing it. In the movie, that's his actual food he's offering and when he was eating, it wasn't scripted, he was just hungry.
Shawarma Scene Fact: The final end credit scene was added after Robert Downey Jr. encouraged a scene re-write. After Tony Stark falls back to Earth, he originally awakens and asks, "What's next?" and Downey Jr. thought the line could be more interesting, so director Joss Whedon gave him some suggestions, including the idea of going to a local shawarma restaurant, which was ultimately chosen. The scene was added one day after the global premiere. Since then, shawarma sales around the U.S. skyrocketed.

15:27 I'm with you on that Brother. It was too comical . How cool was the Uniform in the 1st Captain America movie ? It actually looked Like a Soldiers Uniform and Tactical.
There are 3 major leaders (power players) on the team, especially seeing as their individual movies came first...Steve, Tony and Thor.
Although Bruce is a major hitting and force to be reckoned with all his own, he is reserved and is more like a cavalry loose cannon.
Agent Clint Barton (Hawkeye, very underrated) and Agent Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow) are specialty force S.H.I.E.L.D spies, so they are your undercover secret weapons that people under estimate...until they do what they do.
Out of the leads, I'm a Captain America girl. He's my favorite.
Loki is one of the best Villains in the MCU.
I prefer Mark Ruffalo over Ed Norton as Bruce/Hulk.
Nick Fury is the man, and only Sam L. Jackson could make him that way, imo.
Although Natasha is a badass, she isn't my number 1 female badass in the MCU.
Personally, I think that because she was the only female in this phase one, amongst very powerful men, maybe Joss or the studio execs wanted to overcompensate for that with her skillset.
As for this being the first assembly of the core Avengers group...it was a mind blowing, goosebumps making (especially that theme song), adrenaline pumper from start to finish, rollercoaster ride.
If you thought it was emotionally gripping just sitting in your living room...seeing and hearing it on the big screen was like nothing before in a theater.
But then ensemble programs are Joss Whedon's specialty.
He's been doing that with his Whedonverse shows, and the team of brilliant writers, directors and producers of his shows.
I think the actors were brilliantly chosen in their parts.
I do remember reading people's concerns that they wanted this assemble done well and that expectations from the avid comic book fans were high.
Straight out the gate, this movie was balanced well and all characters were equally given their time to shine.

In the comics Black Widow had been given the Russian version of the Captain America super soldier serum.. It was not as good but still makes her far, far superior than any normal human in strength/speed etc, and her training is at Bond or Bourne level at least.

Yeah, Cap and Natasha are my favorites too. I don't know much about the comics (I usually devoted my money to X-Men, Spider-Man, and Nomad), but I gather Black Widow is the recipient of some Soviet varient of the Super Soldier Serum given to Steve Rogers. She may be just as tough as Cap, but with an entirely different skill set.
At the group spin-a-round shot...with the Avengers Theme, we ALL became world wide MCU breathern. I am team Cap 100% and this was my least favorite uniform. With that said, he had no input. Coulson was fan-boying with his uniform input hahaha. I love the Hulk transformation scene. His eyes as the last bit of Banner disappears in that over the shoulder look to Widow is amazing. Rag-dolling Loki is hillarious. Widow jumping off Cap's shield and grabbing the sled is so freaking smooth. There is just too much goodness to list in comments about this movie!
The thing about Tony's dislike of being handed things. It's partially cause he's a quirky billionaire and it's a pun cause he hates "handouts" of any kind due to his status as Howard Stark's son, rich kid who comes from money, and genius. He wants to stand on his own so he refuses help of any kind. And will physically not let people hand him things to be seen as less and not a self-made man. His journey is as much accepting he needs help and how important being on a team is.

Remember, although Thor & Loki are Brothers... Technically, Loki was adopted by Odin (Thor's Dad), and they were brought up together.
The guy Loki was talking to was his biological father ( The Blue Frost Giant - head of the Chitari Army he lent out to Loki to help destroy the Earth).

The Chitauri have nothing to do with the Blue Frost Giants (which are called Jotuum/Jotuun btw), Loki's father is dead I'm pretty sure and these aliens have nothing to do with him. First clue is that they are very much regular sized and not blue at all.

Eric Bana played Bruce Banner in the first Hulk Movie. Which was followed up with Edward Norton as Bruce Banner in the second movie. Norton and Marvel had creative differences for the direction of The Hulk. So The role of Bruce Banner fell to Mark Buffalo when they recast the part. 😮

That is a S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier. It is outfitted with many stealth reflective panels which makes it difficult to spot. With regards to the flight mode If you have enough thrust and proper structural engineering...anything is possible. 😛😂

Captain America's shield is made from Vibranium which has the properties to absorb kinetic energy and then redirect it outward. 😮

The first three or four seasons of Agents of SHIELD is a good watch. Season one continues from here and has a direct tie in to Captain America 2 and to Thor 2.

Loki is NOT "Odin's son" ... he isnt even norse. Oh and his "superpower" is SHAPESHIFTING, which is also the reason why HE is the MOTHER of several norse monsters ... like Odin's eight-legged horse Sleipnir, the Fenris Wolf and the World Serpent.
tl;dr Marvel Comics butchered this myth ... and the movies made it worse.
Tony's thing about not being handed things is because if you are handed a subpoena, as he was in one of the Iron Man movies, you then have to appear in court. If they can't hand it to you, and it has to be in your hand, it can't be served it, so there's no court date. The big bad is Thanos. You will see him again. And you will learn about Natasha's history. Check out Agents of Shield for a surprise character. Great reactions.
I love your reactions, but what's frustrating me is you talking (like, just right now during my viewing of this video, about Thor's muscles) during dialogues, especially for what seems like 15 seconds, and missing everything that is being said...
