17:52 The MK2 referes to the Boss RC505 Mark 2 that he was using. As my previous comment has already stated, if was still a prototype attempt time this battle happened. Rythmind recieved it from judgi g the kbb, which he was selected for due to his performance at gbb19.
So they're talking about the loopstation version
Brez is using RC-505 MK1
Rythmind is using RC-505 MK2
That's why brez said it's MK1 vs MK2 how fair is this
And Rythmind said if u want a MK2 u have to win something once in your life (i think Rythmind got the MK2 because he win the GBB 2019)
rythmind got the mk2 because he was a judge of the kickback battle, and when rythmind said "you have to win something once in your life" is not really true because Brez won the multiverse battle 2019 and won french championship twice. in my opinion and lots of other people also agree that Brez should've won, Brez made no mistakes and rythmind made 1 mistake and he had to do his 2nd round again because his mk2 stopped working for some reason. in all fairness Brez should've won but still would've been a 3-2.

For a bit of context: BreZ and Rythmind are friends. They've done collabs and remixes together in the past! They actually played and sort of planned their rounds and their "drama" with each other before they ever went out on stage.
I think you hit the analysis on the head, that's how I felt too. Especially the first set, great reaction. Brez first round and Rythminds last one in this are all in my like top 5. And supposedly Rythmind really messed up his last set too and can do it way better, I just thought it was a cool concept. Brez just has so much energy I just wanna go headbutt trees after watching him perform man. You probably already had comments about it, they're both like super good friends. It's all banter. Even the last Rythmind "surprise mf'er" drop, you see Brez start dancing along with him right away. They did a remix to it together.

I brez' second round, it was a battle oriented round, vs his first round was to get the crowd hyped. The bit about the sequencer, rythmind was using a new prototype of the now released mark 2 rc505 loopstation, which he got access to from judging the kbb21 battles. He was one of only 11 people in the world to have that one at the time.

The MK2 is a NEW loop station device only released to about 12 people in the world at the time of GBB21
The sequencer is an OP feature which allows you to do melodies insanely fast and Brez is using the MK1 and replicating the sequencer with a machine that takes more longer to produce melodies.
You got the MK2 by judging or participating in the Kickback battle for loop but now it’s purchasable

I felt the same with the rounds
Brez had more consistent energy throughout the round, but the drops weren’t as heavy like Rythminds
Rythmind had a ton of energy in each of his drop which matched Brezs energy but it wasn’t as consistent in the entire round like him
