      Great turnaround on the bmw, not a big fan of Carly as the subscription is not worth it and are too basic for the price. But glad they sponsored you as I love the channel.

      Anyone know if Carly can reset dpf values? I recently fitted a new dpf and vaporiser to my mk3 focus 2.0 tdci and need to reset the values so the car recognises the new dpf. If so I will purchase one!

    1 Thing on your interior cleaning, dont put gloss / silicon spray etc on the leather, Leather is supposed to be matt when properly clean not shiny

    I don't know if anyone else has commented but I bought a grit guard bucket for car washing and although expensive for a bucket with a plastic grit guard in the bottom... (in my humble opinion) it really does prevents scratching of your paint whilst washing and it has wheels!!.This was after the time my brother washed his dark green metalic peugeot 205 d (student!) without a grit guard and bucket... All i can say is it took bloody ages to polish the car back to something like shiny before selling ....!!!

    • @williamturner7580
      @williamturner7580 3 роки тому

      All you need is a cheap bucket and cut a square piece of chicken wire, fold the corners to fit inside the bucket and VOILA! You have a grit guard bucket!

    Good day's work. Refurb on the wheels and a good clean inside and out made a lot of difference. If it had been polished/detailed as well I think it would have looked even better but realise it was trade sale and it will be for the buyer to decide if he wants to bring it up to retail standard.

  • @Jamie-Evo
    @Jamie-Evo 3 роки тому +7

    It certainly looks a million times better, but please dump those cans of silicone spray in the bin, get some leather cleaner or weak apc mix and clean the seats with that instead. Silicione just makes everything shiny, greasy, slippery and attracts dust and dirt.

    • @Dalbayob69
      @Dalbayob69 2 роки тому +2

      Definately wouldn’t use that silicone spray on leather. It would make it so shiny and slippery when leather wants to be matte and hold you in the seats. Like you said, good leather cleaner will do the job. Only place I use silicone spray is on the floor and steps in my work van.

    Bringing back some memories of my time as a Valetor with names like G101 and Tardis. I still think Autosmart tyre dandy aerosol is the best tyre shine I’ve used. Regarding the sponsorship, looks like a great product but, in my opinion, it dragged on a bit. I understand that you need to make us aware of the product but how would it work if you linked to the product website or another UA-cam video that would explain everything about it ? Just a thought Rob and I know you wanted feedback from your subscribers. Keep up the good work and honest flips 👍

    Top tip on cheap ebay wheel centres. Give them a few coats of lacquer before fitting as they will corrode in months otherwise. It should extend their life to a couple of years instead of 6 months.
    Oh, and ensure the metal tabs are tight as they usually aren't resulting in the metal cover falling off.
    And use a bit of heat to soften the plastic tabs and push them out a bit to stop the centres falling out of the wheels as they're usually very loose.
    Also petrol on a rag takes tar off in seconds. It just wipes it away.

  • @criticalbrisket

    I'd never jetwash an engine compartment at all. Degreaser, brush and a very low-pressure dribble of water from a hose to make sure you aren't forcing water into anywhere it shouldn't go. Then get the whole area warm by running the engine to dry.

  • @markwilliamson811

    Love your work pal, I’d love to see you use a snow foam attachment on your washer, tfr then a cpl snow foam hits and you will remove more contaminates and do far less damage to the paint work. I have noticed less scratching on my car since using this method. Two buckets and two sponges (clean/rinse) after two or three hits with foam cannon..
    Keep up your honest straight approach to your work as you do and folk will que to buy from you. I’d buy from you over the phone unseen. That’s how good your reputation is 🏆

    I'm a long time subscriber Rob so I know the value of your content, but a lot of new viewers are going to turn off once the advertising starts. Diverting viewer attention at the start of the video from what they really came for, is not going to prove successful long term. Here's what I believe the format should be: After the Savage Builds intro, you show a screen shot of the sponsor and their product for a maximum of 10 seconds but you only talk about them at the end of the video. They still get the air time, you maintain the respect you've built up over the years, and no one is inconvenienced. I believe this is very good advice. Thanks

    • @sruk
      @sruk  3 роки тому +1

      Unfortunately that’s not how it works all sponsors must be in the first five minutes the sponsorship deals pay the bills and it something comes up relevant we will be supporting our channel by taking those deals most deals are 60-90 seconds carly was 3 minutes and it’s impossible to show what it does in less time. Honestly though not aimed at you but I’m over it it was the last video I’m constantly trying our best and if that’s not good enough for some people there’s no penalties for leaving early as there is no contract it’s all free to watch 👍happy Easter 👍

    Rob one thing can be said mate. You and Chris never ask over the odds for the vehicles on the channel. Very fair prices charged, probably why they move on so quickly. Nice one as usual. 👍👍👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

    You’re spot on. Sell them at a decent price and your stock will move quickly AND people will come back to you. If you get greedy you end up with a yard full of motors and no customers 👍
