I was there in Cabo Delgado between May and August 2021. The Rwandan forces are well trained, Disciplined and very Professional. There equipment and weapons are new and looked after. As soon as they arrived on tasking, they went out on patrols. Now the Mozambique Military, that is a different story, no respect for the uniform that they wear, weapons and equipment in very very poor condition, I saw an AK 47 stamped with the date 1974 manufacture and rusted, and this was not an insurgents weapon but a Marines issued weapon. There heavy machine guns also in very poor condition, rust and lack of maintenance. Rumour had it that some of the Mozambique Military had gone over too the insurgents, not because of religion, but due to corruption from within the Mozambique government. Soldiers not being paid etc, poor kit and living conditions. The banks and businesses were also looted by the Military. So for the people in this Region they find it very difficult to trust anyone in Uniform, ESPECIALLY THEIR OWN MILITARY. An African problem with an African solution 👌Thank you Rwanda ❤
The people in that area were living so poor but there were French companies around there operating oil plant no body talking about that 😕
This video literally does
Most worker in gas plant are local because some jihadist make trouble there make them have to move out and cannot work for six month maybe more
@N Fels Company's pay politicians to be corrupt not though taxes
But the Mozambican Govt gets paid contractually. It is that money that should be used to improve the lives of the surrounding communities. You shouldn't expect a foreign firm extracting natural resources to contractually pay the host govt and at the same time improve the lives of local communities in an unstructured, undefined manner. Total are in business, not charity works. Ask the Mozambican govt why the benefits of petroleum extraction by Total are not reaching the local community.

Rwanda is making Africa proud!
Respect from Iraq 🇮🇶
I'm pleasantly surprised to see Rwandan troops being that well equipped and (relatively) well trained, no awkward weapon handling, no sloppy uniform pieces, other nearby countries and their military forces could learn a thing or two from them.
Why say ' relatively ' ? I bet 1 year now you see a different picture. Also last segment of the vid, those aren't rwandan soldiers doing parade. Looks clumsy ( that's a give away)
Respect to Rwanda and Chad from Sudan
You can see the professionalism of the Rwandan Army from their spokesperson.
France 24 has some great unbiased footage. Thank you for doing some good journalism here

just like everyone else very surprised how well equipped and trained their soilders are. no disrespect.

What god will blessing criminal Paul Kagame?
@ It takes one to know one. You have to be a “criminal” to deal with other criminals. I’m not saying he’s innocent, but Judge only if you can stand in his shoes.
Rwanda is becoming a dictatorship. read about Paul Rusesabagina.

Battle hardened Rwandan soldiers. Very very reliable allies in such situations.

God bless us , bless our country of Rwanda
Well done to the Rwandan Military for showing Professionalism and hoping you all get to go home soon.
❤🌺 @Dave : Proud of our military
Peace, freedom and wealth, to African nations! 🙏 Best wishes 🍀

Special thanks to the Rwandan government for the efforts they put in to help our mozambican brothers, sisters and families those who have been in terrible conditions created by the cowards of the so called jihadists who are shamelessly attacking their own families in the country, attacking an innocent people, thanks mr president of Rwanda your excellence Paul kagame, because under your leadership things have turned into more beneficial and peace is created every where not only in your country but also every where your hand have reached, it's what we ubuntu, pan africanism and solidarity towards our fellow African citizens
It makes me happy to see.
Africa wants to and is solving its own problems. it has many nations riddled with problems and conflicts but hey they want to and are slowly solving their own problems
i'm very impressed with the rwandan military's discipline and professionalism.
Considering what the Rwandans been through with the genocide of the past they’ve done well. It’s seems they have learned and matured from their past history.
The Rwandan soldiers look well trained, equipped and led.
Mozambique should let Rwandan 🇷🇼 soldiers clear the whole place. The South African soldiers are lazy and scared.
Also Shame to the Mozambique gov for allowing its citizens to suffer like this
Once you say South Africa you touch the Warriors of the South. Ask Maputo about SANDF. Even Mother nature knows South Africa. During floods we conquer ask Mozambique. South Africa is not a gazell in the jungle. Ask DRC. Do not provoke UMzansi

Thanks for the report, just one correction: "South African Development Community" does not exist, but the "Southern African Development Community" (SADC) is the relevant name. Members of the SADC include most African countries on the southern hemisphere (includes Madagascar, Zambia, Angola, etc.).

20 billion dollar investment, to pump oil.......look at that house they call a home and cooking place.....and still the TOTAL cook does not seem to understand why they fight?
He didn't say he doesn't understand why they fight.
He said he didn't understand why they were slaughtering civilians. The same people you are sympathising for being poor are the ones who were ending up being victims of terrorism.
Well DONE Rwandan military,my GOD protect u,u also have the best president in Africa
I've been to Mozambique a few times and most of the country is very peaceful and people are friendly
True. But Maputo in the far south is very different from the far north! It's a very big and long country. Maputo and Pemba are more than 1,500km apart. In fact Pemba is closer to Mombasa, Kenya than to it's Capital Maputo.
They accomplished a lot with 3 months better than the French soldiers did in mali
And that's the thing! The French soldiers were never in Mali to fight terrorists. They were there to secure stolen Malian resources!
Different terrorist organizations so u can’t judge the France army. This guys might not be strong compare to the Mali ones. Mali is desert land compare to this country. Different landscape and fighting style
@@999oj what do you mean!!!
The difference is Rwanda trully wants to help. France doesn't.

Amazing how professional Rwandan Troops, Rooting for Rwandan Army to lead counter - terrorist operations Africa.
This is why African nations need to be militaristic in mindset, young men should have mandatory basic training on combat and defense skills taught how to read maps and logistics. Africa will be invaded it's the richest continent and most fertile. Stop living in ignorance of world events. Wake up Africa wake up to your power. Build strong, disciplined and patriotic armies
Exactly they need to be more united why do you think the British empire done so well their core was British pure loyalty to the crown for better or worse and a militaristic approach where if diplomacy failed our navy wouldn’t although don’t be completely like us as we did do some horrible things no excuses their 😂
What happened to our continent?
Mozambique is such a beautiful country my sister told nice stories after her visits there
France will never quit playing games in africa. I hope somepower will play them in their game soon.
Why would they quit ? Isn't every nation's job to protect its interests ? Russia's playing games in Syria, the US all over the world and China in Myanmar, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, who cares ? It's natural, powers play for themselves. You don't become a powerful nation by being nice and kind.
China fished out the ocean around Mozambique. Its pathetic that they did not assist these people when they where slauthered. Its the least they could do.
No one reported about this to the USA
thank you for your in-depth coverage
Rawandan troops look great to be honest as compared to other African countries
Can I use this video please
Respect to RWANDA DEFENCE FORCES...
For me its the Swahili speaking Mozambicans...Truly one nation one continent
I was looking at the Rwandan military, and they seem like a hybrid between, American professionals, Russian Doctrine and Equipment, and Chinese Style Ranks and structure. A new Army built from internationalism.
Similar effects can be seen in the DRC with South Africa, Russia, China, etc. becoming more involved with training government troops. Someone who claimed to have contacts there commented on specific weapons and equipment seen there that had come from all over. I am also reminded of the West Gate Shopping Mall attack (Nairobi, 2013) where the Kenyan military/police were outfitted with modern equipment and FN Mk-17s.
@@AnonEMus-cp2mn Latest African armies are internationalist simply because that's the nature of the training they get.
This is the only military that don't pose and swarm the camera.
I wonder how the insurgents were able to smuggle such quantities of war equipment into a country that is said to have a government.
Am verys astonished how Rwanda Defence Force understand asymmetric warfare? What a professionalism and equipped army? Africa needs this kind of partnership. Many countries have to learn from Rwanda. even hear in Europe Generals don't understand an asymmetric war like this Colonel from Rwanda. Neatly dressed army!
I love him so much... I love you Big brother President Paul Kagame.... I wish you was the President of all of the AU.....and every other Black African Nation leader follow your example.... May Allah reward you forever... Takbir!!!!
