I photographed a coworker's wedding back in 2015. I only charged $150 for a full day, from about 10am until 9pm. The groom had recently lost his job, so money was tight. They "promised" to pay me when funds became available. I watched my coworker get a new set of gel nails every 3 weeks, spend money on fast food on a regular basis, and even get a new car. The money never came. You'd think she'd have forgotten about it, right? Well a couple of years later, she joked about how she still hadn't paid me, while talking to me. I worked with her for a full five years after her wedding and never saw a penny of that measly $150, despite the raises she was vocal about and her husband getting back to work full time. Some people will do whatever they can to get away with not paying. Deposits are mandatory for weddings now, and no one gets their photos until I've been paid, I don't care who you are or what the excuse is.
"They must not watch Judge Judy" has me crying. I think this all the time when I hear about these situations, and I think it about 90% of the time when the people on the show are there humiliating themselves. Like how are you going to go on this show or take someone to court thinking you're right? Have you never seen it before?!
If you have dats off I highly recommend watching hot bench, judge Judy, etc. so much can be learned from others’ mistakes. People try to win cases based on how they feel, no it’s what you can prove. No hood or reality show pettiness.
My best friend gor married a few months back. She hired a professional photographer. At the beginning, before we even saw her, the celebrant/wedding coordinator gave us a note that they had spent a lot of money for the professional so please do not take any photos and have your phone off/silent and away. My photographer was amazing. But I didn't realize I should've tipped her. I feel badly about that...12 years later. We paid about $2k. The pictures were amazing and it was totally worth it. Shout to Jolene Photography! 🥰
Typically you don’t need to tip your photographer, unless you have hired a company who then subcontracted the photographer. Those photographers don’t get paid a lot. If you’re dealing with the photographer directly from start to finish, without any other companies in the middle, then the photographer is unlikely to expect any tips.
Oh god, was that the one where the girl bragged about how she only spent like $300 on her wedding and then it turned out that she suckered her family and friends into providing all the services for free?
Ok but if that were me I would have told the bride to pull out her wedding card box and start paying 😂😂 You know people always give the bride and groom money - no excuses.
A friend of mine wanted to start to photograph weddings, but since she never had done it before she decided to only charge them for the USB with edited pictures, plus food and drinks during the day. She was very honest and upfront about the fact that she had no experience with weddings photos and that it was the reason for the low price. She also adviced them to have someone else with a bit more experience to take some of the more important pictures, so they were sure they had some good pictures incase she fell short. They didnt have anyone else taking pictures and claimed that my friends pictures were terrible and that they wont be paying, but they had the audacity to claim that the USB with the pictures were theirs even though they didnt pay for them... Let's just say that bride has no pictures of her weddingday xD My friend showed me some of the pictures and they were absolutly gorgeous, i would have been happy to pay a lot of money for them.
I would have taken pictures of them blocking the door before I left. They would love to have them I'm sure for their wedding book. Would have been the only pictures I sent them, I wouldn't even gotten a frame.
As a photographer and a lawyer.... I would have wanted money up front. The check bouncing would be the red flag. But if I were the DJ and saw the bounced check while I was working, I would have completed my service since it would have taken my time anyway. I would then have the right to get paid with whatever contract they signed. Stopping in the middle might make you feel better but then you both are in breach and you throw away your chances of ever seeing payment for the work you have already provided. Plus he just wasted his day. If he finished, he could have chased the payment. The client taking the photographer to court for $600 means only small claims court... not such a big threat. Now, being stopped at the door and not allowed to leave could potentially be a crime... I would have called the police if that went on for very long. So be safe, keep taking photos, and secure that payment upfront.
In their defense. It's possible the family were none the wiser about the services STILL not being paid. OP didn't say they put up any resistance after they were told that the other end of the contract wasn't held up so who knows what happened then. But sounds like it was a quick "Hey where are you going? What the heck? We have you 4 more hours!" but then backed down after the response. I don't know. But good point with the DJ though. Wouldn't he pay more than that in legal fees just trying to GET his rightful money though? Rendering it pointless?
@@calliemyersbuchanan6458 Very true. We don't know all the facts. : ) But Jessica's last comments in her video were "what would you if you are trying to exit somewhere and people try to stop you." @12:14 Small claims court doesn't require a lawyer and it varies by state but it's not that expensive to file a claim. But it goes to show you that we need to get it in writing : )
I mean I understand that his time was already wasted, but there is a chance even if he stuck it out he still would never see his money, the couple could always file for bankruptcy because it's clear they couldn't afford two of their most important vendors, or it's sometimes not worth it to take them to court, but ruining the wedding for cheap tacky ahs by leaving? PRICELESS
@@wangpie8840 exactly!!! If they stuck it out people would get the idea that they can get away with not paying and get free quality service. So its not only just about the time wasted its the principle of the thing
Red flag no 1: Cheque bounced Red flag no 2: Relatives but the bride don't have the photographers money. I don't need to see whats red flag no 3. If I was the photographer, I'll just take my camera and leave, IMMEDIATELY !
If people tried to block me, I'd ask them politely to move. Once. After that, I would cause a huge scene and scream about how they hadn't paid me and now they are trying to kidnap me.
If you aren't willing to pay for these services, clearly they aren't important to you. Period. I love stories like this where greedy nasty people get exactly what they deserved, she has me dying though thinking she owns those photos lmfao. Stories like this are exactly why I will never do weddings, I don't have the stress available to waste on Bridezillas.
"I own the copyright" Ok show me the assets you have. Raw files, PSD files, JPEG, TIFF anything. Don't have any files because they were created by someone else? Then they aren't your files. The most she can do is tell him to not sell her likeness because she did not sign a modeling contract
That's one of the reasons I ended my 10 year wedding photography business. I hate dealing with people that don't see the true value in the service you are providing for them. I always had the couple sign a contract. But you are correct in saying that you have to enforce it. The wedding that really got me was one I did in Washington DC. They paid my low deposit. I did the engagement session and engagement dinner on different days at different locations. On the wedding day I saw the couple with envelopes pay the rental for the antique vintage cars the groomsmen drove up in, the horse and buggy to drop the bride off, the DJ, and the guy with the live hawk to deliver the wedding rings and doves. It was also done at an upscale venue. One of the venue staff confided in me during the reception and said "what these people really need is a good DJ and a backyard for a BBQ"; hopefully you already got your money. Well, at the end of the evening the groom tells me he's a bit short and he'll get the money to me this week. That went on for over a month and I had to threaten them with a law suit before they complied. Needless to say, I did not give them the photos until I was paid. I'm glad that this was only something I did on the weekends for some extra cash but overall it paid well.
Some people are just so unlucky. Imagine all those people that were looking after the money then couldn't find it? Never, ever, take a single shot for a private individual without being paid as stated in your contract. Once the photos are taken, the power in negotiation has passed to them.
@@charminbaer2323 Actually it's not rocket science. They do indeed want something you have, they just don't want to pay for it. The work is done and the time and effort cannot be recovered. Having completed the photographs it is likely that the photographer would rather take something for the photographs rather than sit on them and not get paid at all.
@@mrrcassidy no, this is a special day for a couple, especially the bride. To the photographer it’s just another day. Yeah, she may have lost some hours of her day, but the bride is losing much more. She can’t recreate the wedding, and the couple most likely already paid lots more; wedding dress, tuxedo rentals, venue, food, drinks. Obviously not the photographer or the DJ. So no, it’s not rocket science but even you can’t figure that out. Negotiating is in favor of the photographer, especially when there was a contract.
""wedding dress, tuxedo rentals, venue, food, drinks." I completely agree, they will indeed have paid for those things - on account of none of it being made available without payment in advance.
This is why wedding photographers have the best ironclad contracts. The amount of entitlement is insane. Why I never ever did weddings 😂 Also her claiming to take her to court is total BS. It costs ALOT of money to take them to court
Every photography assignment needs a contract. An invoice detailing payment schedule and what they are receiving is actually a contract. With weddings… I add an actual wedding contract to back up the invoice. This is business 101… and is not unique to just photography.
20+ years working in the wedding industry and I walked out of a wedding with a situation similar to this at the beginning of my career. This is back in the film days so I had to pay for all of the film for the day. Bride never paid deposit, said she would have full amount @ the wedding, Got to the wedding and was given the runaround about who had had the "checkbook." AFter the ceremony was said and done, group pictures all taken - I laid down the hammer, said either I get my money or I walk. After 30 minutes of waiting around and no money, I walked. 2 weeks later the SHERIFF shows up at my house asking where the STOLEN pictures were. The f**king audacity of this woman - she told this sheriff I STOLE the film from her. After I explained the situation, showed receipts for the film that I was being accused of stealing (I was sure she wasn't going to have any receipts for 40 rolls of Kodak Porta) as well as signed contract and emails between us, the sheriff pretty much said he would have done the same thing in my shoes. She tried emailing me to get the images, but said pay me and I will be more than happy to send those pics. lol, yeah I never got paid for that wedding, never developed the film either. As a matter of fact, those rolls are still sitting in a shoebox in my parents attic. lolol
I’d bet the bride bounced the caterer and florist. It’s sad sometimes how people treat each other. I’d also be that if the shoe was on the other foot, the bride would have screamed bloody murder.
I'm a wedding photographer and up until now I've never had this kind of thing happen to me. I've been lucky for now but I pray I never have to go through this with a client.
So working as a photographer for over a decade this is a regular thing in Croatia for the wedding venues IF you don't secure the pay - if you don't get payed until he wedding, you won't. There will be always something more important than paying up for the service that is already done and (photographs) delivered. And people are like that, self centered egomaniacs who just like to use people. Sad to see it but, as I see it, its more of a world-problem than just Balkan problem.
This is why I normally shoot through 3rd party companies, they handle all the customer service side of it. I had a wedding booked once, they called me 1 week before and said the client didn’t pay the deposit and just scheduled me on another one. Yes, you make more shooting on your own, but it’s less stress being a contractor. As far as the blocking of the door.. idk I probably would have flipped out, and responded aggressively. Would have felt I was being taken hostage..and I’m not going.
Here is just part of my wedding photographer nightmare (from 20+ years ago when they still used film) of my wedding photographer whose promise and portfolio were 1,000% different than his true ability. I honestly wonder if it was his portfolio. He didn’t take the shots I requested, did half-assed photos of the wedding party, chose the photos for me and then held the negatives for an obscene amount of money. He was even cagey when we tried negotiating for the negatives. He had already charged a small fortune for the photos we did receive. In the end my mother gave in and paid the ridiculous amount (so we could see the other images, they still sucked)… One of my bridesmaids luckily was a photog and unbeknownst to me was taking some shots throughput the day (which were way better than his) and gave them to me in a beautiful album. I’m divorced now, which I’m 1,000% happy about, but it was still a bad wedding with family members who are no longer with us, so I do still treasure them for that reason. But man, if I were the person I am today, I would never have let that happen!!! Note: it was one of two services I chose myself without the help of our wedding planner… If you are paying for a planner, FOLLOW THEIR ADVICE!
Reminds me of my son whom has a Photographer business, the wedding is his bread and butter. When he was starting out he had one exactly like this, paid a deposit of £400 and the rest settled before the wedding day. (marked as down as 5 days before in the contract). The couple refused to pay up until after, he did not go, he went to another wedding by chance it came in, they took him to small claims for their deposit back. Noped all the way - was advised to drop it and walk away and accept that they will not get their deposit back. They wanted to teach "people like him" a lesson, after 3 months, it cost them around 3k just to have it thrown out. Their whole demeanour is that they are the victims in all this, but one question that was asked was "Did you read the contract when you signed it", their replied "No, just skimmed it" ~Trooper
You know what, I'd stay all day, get some amazing pics, stuff my face, and then hold those pics hostage. I don't know, maybe I could start crowd-funding my fee in the crowd there, really bring attention to how I was getting screwed.
Contract and deposit is a must. I learned the hard way when I got stood up oh hen's party cause bridesmaid got drunk and was puking on her way to the photoshoot. At one point they just stopped responding and never showed up - I was waiting for an hour. Wasted time and money to commute there, I was so mad. While the bride was in touch with me she was extremly polite and sweet, I even helped them when they had issues with their car. Never expected it but I learned my lesson ;)
If you're a vendor for a wedding or any event, part of the terms of your engagement THAT YOU WILL NOT ALLOW TO BE ALTERED OR VIOLATED is that you get get paid in full for whatever the basic contract calls for TWO WEEKS before the wedding. This allows for plenty of time for bounced checks or other circumstances, giving enough time to rectify those circumstances. If you're a professional, then one unbreakable rule must be- NO PAY, NO SHOW, NO EXCEPTIONS. If you're smart you'll have a written contract, the boilerplate written by a GOOD attorney, which outlines what happens in case of cancellation or breach of terms.
YIP as a photographer, I've been there too.... It's a GREAT Learning lesson .... SINCE you didn't listen to your mentor to begin with... oh wait, you didn't have a mentor.... Well welcome to the SCHOOL of HARD KNOCKS. LOL
No payment in full 0 working days before ceremony… no photographer and all payments are non refundable. You scheduled that time just for them… could have done another wedding that day that paid!!!
Copyright is an interesting topic. While studying photography last year (I'm in Australia for context) we were taught all about it and at least for the country I'm in, without a contract to sign over copyright for wedding photography, the couple is usually the first owner of copyright for the images of themselves. It's completely different for commercial work, changes depending on the field. It's really whack and interesting but that's the main reason I never shoot without a contract. I love learning about that stuff haha. Love listening to your perspective on videos like these!
I had to re-read your response because I thought you were wrong (I'm in Australia too). You would be correct to say that without the couple explicitly transferring copyright to the photographer (in writing), then the couple own the copyright, as long as there is consideration or payment. Without payment, the photographer would likely retain the rights (and be under no obligation to sell the images to the couple). I, and many of my friends, have gone through this nonsense with many photographers who argued (wrongly) that the photographer owns the copyright for the work that clients commission them to perform. The photographers usually demanded extra payment to give the photos to their client. I used a couple of photographers from "the Age" to do my wedding because they were one of few who could correctly respond to my questions regarding copyright.
@@novicemoviemaker Australia is a communist country. The photographer always owns and retains copyright. He can assign usage rights or product to the couple or a client. But that couple never ever owns copyright. They didn’t create jack.
@@InAFlashPhotographyHoustonTx There's so much wrong with that statement I am not sure how long I should spend correcting it. Australia is not a communist country, and copyright law is pretty clear. The photographer who engages in a commercial contract with a client is not acting on his / her own behalf, and is working for the client, and the client has the copyright. It is different if the photographer is taking photos for himself / herself, for example selling photos in a gallery. When a client pays for a wedding or portraits, the client owns the copyright. Photographers who claim otherwise are making such claims so that they can demand extra money from unwitting clients.
@@novicemoviemaker Australia was putting people in camps for not getting jabbed. Pretty Commie to me. And if copyright is handled there as you claim... it is definitely commie. That is not happening in the USA. I have been shooting for 35 years and my work has appeared in magazines and papers world wide, on television, in movies and have been used on the platinum and gold covers or many musicians albums. I have photographed three sitting Presidents, Naomi, and many corporate portfolios for Fortune 500 and 100 companies. And my copyright has been enforced in every country where the work has been displayed. But hey... I'm sure you know better than me.
I wouldn't be surprised the wedding couple would have been given money in an envelope from their guests and that could have been the photographers and the dj's payment.
I'm under the impression that a photographer can choose to contractually assign the copyright to their employer. The hiring company can own the copyright to the work that their employees did for them. But of course, that also means getting paid first for the photographer!
I’m a classical guitarist. People treat photographers and entertainers so poorly, as if they should do the job for free. “We can’t pay you but you’ll get plenty of exposure” doesn’t help me put food on the table for my children.
Something else : in Europe it's common the photographer gets the same food as the guests. Off course, he won't sit next to the bridal couple, or eat for hours but it's only normal you get food and drinks.
Typical. They can afford for the venue. The catering. The hairdresser. The dress/suits. The manicure/pedicure. The fancy invitation letters. Then decide the photographer and DJ are not priority expenses.
First of all: isn't this illegal? To write bad checks? I would've reported their asses. Second: @Jessica Kobeissi can you PLEASE react to the judge judy photographer case: Does photographer or mom own rights to photos? It's a 3 part video and the defendants are wild!!!
Think I might’ve done with you suggested get on the PA system and say hey everybody the bride didn’t pay so we have to leave unless you guys can each chip in a bit to cover our fees. Then we can have a great rest of the party.! 😂😂😂
that's so messed up. they even threatened the photographer and dj. glad at least the dj knew what was up. funny though, last wedding i went to, i struck up a conversation with the photographer, because i noticed she was using a certain piece of kit i was curious about. she was like, "you should have brought your camera!" and i was like, i didn't want to get in the way.
I am a DJ in Germany and I let my couples pay everything after the wedding, without any deposit. But of course I do a contract stating how much it costs and that payment is done via invoice and money transfer after the wedding. I played over 200 weddings and not a single couple didn't pay their bill. However IF there would be a couple not paying - I have the address of the couples - in case they don't pay me, I simply give it to a debt collection company. We got really good ones, they don't cost you anything and they will get you the money for sure. The only way out for the couple would be, that they both file for bankruptcy.
Among all of them they couldn’t have come up with the $600? The fact that she told the dj might’ve hurt her, because they probably could’ve found $600 but not enough for both of them.
The first wedding I shot I did it for $60. A whole day plus the rehearsal and the bridal shower… at least I know them and the bride has become a really good friend.
$60? I've done weddings for less. Mates get mates rates, but they also get mates terms. I'll shoot my friends wedding for free, because if I'm a guest I'm going to be taking pictures anyway. As a guest, they can expect that I'll take thousands of photos, but I won't be editing thousands of photos. If they tell me which photo they like, and want to hang on their wall, then I'll do a professional level of editing on one or two images for free. If they are my friend, they will get favours as friends. But that doesn't mean they get to take the pi$$.
I was in the wedding business for 40 years. First, deposits are refundable by law. If the product or service is not delivered the deposit must be refunded, that's why I never took a deposit. What I did take is a retainer to reserve the date, lawyers don't take deposits they take retainers. After the level of service was chosen the balance was due 30 days before the wedding. I didn't want to deal with money on the wedding day, and I never had a problem. I was protecting myself. Because I would book weddings up a year in advance sometimes I was asked if the wedding had to be canceled for whatever reason would they get the retainer back. I told them if I could rebook the day, but I was not obligated to do so. I did happen a couple of times and I did return the retainer, I'm not a heartless bastard, I know things happen. All this information was on my contract which I went over with the couple when they reserved their date.
both photographer and DJ need to get their act together. you do not need to be a seasoned professional to know that you NEED A CONTRACT, NEED TO SECURE THE PAYMENT AND VERIFY THE MONEY WELL BEFORE THE WEDDING DAY. Make your contract bullet proof so they do not get to take advantage. The weeks after spent in court and all the other crap can be avoided with a simple iron clad contract and payment schedule.
Ehh. That photographer deserves whatever happens to them. That’s what you get when you work for peanuts. But it’s a moot point because they’ll probably keep doing it anyway. They already think their work doesn’t have any value
I had a client that I show a wedding for, he hadn't paid me anything in advance. He didn't want to pay in advance, so I told him, fine, I'll leave. His dad ended up paying me. It were two school teachers getting married.
The people that stopped them at the door 'didn't have any money' because they knew the bride and knew that they had two hopes of getting that money back off her. I'd be fairly sure that this DJ and Photog weren't the first people she tried to burn.
You know what you're doing...once the check bounced...game over. I would still photograph the wedding and bill her. If no money...no pictures...lesson learned.
It's actually not that uncommon to be paid by the bride or grooms parents, as a lot of times one side of the family pays for certain vendors. I regularly get paid by the parents of the couple, but I've never had to chase down payment like this.

PRICELESS
DJ did the right thing, ruining that abusive couples big day is worth way more than what they owed anyway.
@@wangpie8840 exactly!!! If they stuck it out people would get the idea that they can get away with not paying and get free quality service. So its not only just about the time wasted its the principle of the thing
Red flag no 1: Cheque bounced
Red flag no 2: Relatives but the bride don't have the photographers money.
"I own the copyright"
Ok show me the assets you have.
I need you to do these Reddit reaction vids more often cause I love them 😂💕
Some people are just so unlucky. Imagine all those people that were looking after the money then couldn't find it? Never, ever, take a single shot for a private individual without being paid as stated in your contract. Once the photos are taken, the power in negotiation has passed to them.
No it hasn’t. How tf do you figure that? As a photographer, THEY want something you have. They have to pay if they want to get those photos.
""wedding dress, tuxedo rentals, venue, food, drinks."
I completely agree, they will indeed have paid for those things - on account of none of it being made available without payment in advance.
The first red flag 🚩 was that the cheque bounced 😂
It was $600 at the wedding. Now it's $1,200 dollars and in 30 days I delete all the photos and then I will sue you for failing to pay for services.
can you do more ofthese and a playlist:) love the rant
The more I hear these, the more I’ll never do wedding photography 😢
A bounced check means I wouldn't even show up.
As a matter of fact, those rolls are still sitting in a shoebox in my parents attic. lolol
omg "just eat the croutons off the salad" I FEEL PERSONALLY ATTACKED
Dream collab: Charlotte Dobre, former photographer and Jessica Kobeissi, active photographer!
These situations always stress me out even though I'm not even involved and don't know them. lol
From the comments from everyone else, this is starting to sound like one of those "tips for a cheaper wedding". Horrible.
Lmaooo if i was the dj i would’ve grabbed the microphone and made an announcement 😂
That would have been perfect 🤩😂
This is why I normally shoot through 3rd party companies, they handle all the customer service side of it. I had a wedding booked once, they called me 1 week before and said the client didn’t pay the deposit and just scheduled me on another one. Yes, you make more shooting on your own, but it’s less stress being a contractor.
As far as the blocking of the door.. idk I probably would have flipped out, and responded aggressively. Would have felt I was being taken hostage..and I’m not going.
What 3rd party?
😂😂😂 That's bloody hilarious. The bride thought SHE owned copyright of the photos? 😂😂😂
Note: it was one of two services I chose myself without the help of our wedding planner… If you are paying for a planner, FOLLOW THEIR ADVICE!
i really feel like videographers and photogs are soooooo undervalued and disrespected
It's cute whenever people think they understand copyright but don't.....
Exactly… they should stay in their lane.
OKAY who is editing your videos? I love the comment box pop ups
Side note, it’s always the cheapest clients that end up screwing you in other ways. This is true in a lot of other businesses as well.
Its illegal to bounce checks, have them arrested!!
I had renters like that! Having no money is one thing but not paying is a total different level.
I am wondering about the caterer and whether that bounced too. Seems so sketchy..
At least as a photographer, you have leverage to withhold all the photos until you’re paid in full.
No Deposit.......No Date scheduled.
No payment in full 10 working days prior… no show… it is in the contract!!!
YIP as a photographer, I've been there too.... It's a GREAT Learning lesson .... SINCE you didn't listen to your mentor to begin with... oh wait, you didn't have a mentor.... Well welcome to the SCHOOL of HARD KNOCKS. LOL
No deposit no deal.
The end..
No payment in full 0 working days before ceremony… no photographer and all payments are non refundable. You scheduled that time just for them… could have done another wedding that day that paid!!!
Your dry humour is so funny! 🤣
“Tell Susan at 911.”

$600.00 for 8 hours..... this lady got away with murder
Wooooow. The sheer gall is almost impressive
I see the photographers point to get experience BUT OMG!! I don’t and will not do weddings!!! 🤦♂️
Without experience… hipiwnexactly is he a photographer? I own a scalpel. Does that make me a surgeon???
I wouldn't be surprised the wedding couple would have been given money in an envelope from their guests and that could have been the photographers and the dj's payment.
I'm under the impression that a photographer can choose to contractually assign the copyright to their employer. The hiring company can own the copyright to the work that their employees did for them. But of course, that also means getting paid first for the photographer!
I'm surprised you don't have a Bridezilla playlist on your channel at this point
Roping in unwanted family photographers to work for free was genius.
I’m a classical guitarist. People treat photographers and entertainers so poorly, as if they should do the job for free. “We can’t pay you but you’ll get plenty of exposure” doesn’t help me put food on the table for my children.
Thank you for these reactions! I can relate! Though I do video...
Love the tea
Something else : in Europe it's common the photographer gets the same food as the guests. Off course, he won't sit next to the bridal couple, or eat for hours but it's only normal you get food and drinks.
You know the ol' say: If you want to dance - pay the musicians 🥳
As a photographer myself, a lot of newbies make that mistake. They learn quick.
that's so messed up. they even threatened the photographer and dj. glad at least the dj knew what was up.
funny though, last wedding i went to, i struck up a conversation with the photographer, because i noticed she was using a certain piece of kit i was curious about. she was like, "you should have brought your camera!" and i was like, i didn't want to get in the way.
Real talk that segway into the square space plug was fire
Thats a karen family.
This is why I'm planning to do weddings with people I trust.
Jessica always looks pretty but she's breathtakingly gorgeous rn omg
Why didn't they just go through the wedding gifts - surely there would've been money in there?? smh
If five people tried to stop me, I'd start screaming for help at the top of my lungs.
both photographer and DJ need to get their act together. you do not need to be a seasoned professional to know that you NEED A CONTRACT, NEED TO SECURE THE PAYMENT AND VERIFY THE MONEY WELL BEFORE THE WEDDING DAY. Make your contract bullet proof so they do not get to take advantage. The weeks after spent in court and all the other crap can be avoided with a simple iron clad contract and payment schedule.
What a nerve... 😱 Omg
These reddit series are my favorite of yours. Please do more.
The people that stopped them at the door 'didn't have any money' because they knew the bride and knew that they had two hopes of getting that money back off her. I'd be fairly sure that this DJ and Photog weren't the first people she tried to burn.
My first wedding if I didn't have the cost of film, gas and processing up front nothing was happening as I was a flat broke college student.
7:25 A good wedding DJ runs in thousands, No quality DJ would work for hundreds...
Dj is in a really bad situation but he can threaten to tell the whole wedding over the speakers if she doesn’t bring the money!
